1 Y sucederá que cuando entres en la tierra que el Señor tu Dios te da por herencia, tomes posesión de ella y habites en ella,

And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;

2 t omarás las primicias de todos los frutos del suelo que recojas de la tierra que el Señor tu Dios te da, y las pondrás en una canasta e irás al lugar que el Señor tu Dios escoja para establecer su nombre.

That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his name there.

3 Y te presentarás al sacerdote que esté en funciones en esos días y le dirás: “Declaro hoy al Señor mi Dios que he entrado en la tierra que el Señor juró a nuestros padres que nos daría.”

And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the Lord thy God, that I am come unto the country which the Lord sware unto our fathers for to give us.

4 E ntonces el sacerdote tomará la canasta de tu mano, y la pondrá delante del altar del Señor tu Dios.

And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the Lord thy God.

5 Y responderás y dirás delante del Señor tu Dios: “Mi padre fue un arameo errante y descendió a Egipto y residió allí, siendo pocos en número; pero allí llegó a ser una nación grande, fuerte y numerosa.

And thou shalt speak and say before the Lord thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:

6 “ Y los egipcios nos maltrataron y nos afligieron y pusieron sobre nosotros dura servidumbre.

And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

7 “ Entonces clamamos al Señor, el Dios de nuestros padres, y el Señor oyó nuestra voz y vio nuestra aflicción, nuestro trabajo y nuestra opresión;

And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

8 y el Señor nos sacó de Egipto con mano fuerte y brazo extendido, con gran terror, con señales y milagros;

And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

9 y nos ha traído a este lugar y nos ha dado esta tierra, una tierra que mana leche y miel.

And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

10 “ Ahora, he aquí, he traído las primicias de los frutos de la tierra que tú, oh Señor, me has dado.” Entonces las pondrás delante del Señor tu Dios, y adorarás delante del Señor tu Dios.

And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O Lord, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the Lord thy God, and worship before the Lord thy God:

11 Y te alegrarás, tú y también el levita y el forastero que está en medio de ti, por todo el bien que el Señor tu Dios te ha dado a ti y a tu casa. Los diezmos de un pueblo consagrado

And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.

12 C uando acabes de pagar todo el diezmo de tus frutos en el tercer año, el año del diezmo, entonces lo darás al levita, al forastero, al huérfano y a la viuda, para que puedan comer en tus ciudades y sean saciados.

When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

13 Y dirás delante del Señor tu Dios: “He sacado de mi casa la porción consagrada y también la he dado al levita, al forastero, al huérfano y a la viuda conforme a todos tus mandamientos que me has mandado; no he violado ni olvidado ninguno de tus mandamientos.

Then thou shalt say before the Lord thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them.

14 “ No he comido de ella estando de luto, ni he tomado de ella mientras estaba inmundo, ni he ofrecido de ella a los muertos. He escuchado la voz del Señor mi Dios; he hecho conforme a todo lo que me has mandado.

I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the Lord my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.

15 “ Mira desde tu morada santa, desde el cielo, y bendice a tu pueblo Israel y a la tierra que nos has dado, una tierra que mana leche y miel, como juraste a nuestros padres.”

Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

16 E l Señor tu Dios te manda hoy que cumplas estos estatutos y ordenanzas. Cuidarás, pues, de cumplirlos con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma.

This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

17 H as declarado hoy que el Señor es tu Dios y que andarás en sus caminos y guardarás sus estatutos, sus mandamientos y sus ordenanzas, y que escucharás su voz.

Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

18 Y el Señor ha declarado hoy que tú eres su pueblo, su exclusiva posesión, como El te prometió, y que debes guardar todos sus mandamientos;

And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

19 y que El te pondrá en alto sobre todas las naciones que ha hecho, para alabanza, renombre y honor; y serás un pueblo consagrado al Señor tu Dios, como El ha dicho.

And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.
