1 F inalmente, hermanos, orad por nosotros, para que la palabra del Señor se extienda rápidamente y sea glorificada, así como sucedió también con vosotros;

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

2 y para que seamos librados de hombres perversos y malos, porque no todos tienen fe.

And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

3 P ero fiel es el Señor quien os fortalecerá y protegerá del maligno.

But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

4 Y tenemos confianza en el Señor respecto de vosotros, de que hacéis y haréis lo que ordenamos.

And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

5 Q ue el Señor dirija vuestros corazones hacia el amor de Dios y hacia la perseverancia de Cristo. Exhortación a una vida útil

And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

6 A hora bien, hermanos, os mandamos en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que os apartéis de todo hermano que ande desordenadamente, y no según la doctrina que recibisteis de nosotros.

Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

7 P ues vosotros mismos sabéis cómo debéis seguir nuestro ejemplo, porque no obramos de manera indisciplinada entre vosotros,

For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

8 n i comimos de balde el pan de nadie, sino que con trabajo y fatiga trabajamos día y noche a fin de no ser carga a ninguno de vosotros;

Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

9 n o porque no tengamos derecho a ello, sino para ofrecernos como modelo a vosotros a fin de que sigáis nuestro ejemplo.

Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

10 P orque aun cuando estábamos con vosotros os ordenábamos esto: Si alguno no quiere trabajar, que tampoco coma.

For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

11 P orque oímos que algunos entre vosotros andan desordenadamente, sin trabajar, pero andan metiéndose en todo.

For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

12 A tales personas les ordenamos y exhortamos en el Señor Jesucristo, que trabajando tranquilamente, coman su propio pan.

Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

13 P ero vosotros, hermanos, no os canséis de hacer el bien.

But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

14 Y si alguno no obedece nuestra enseñanza en esta carta, señalad al tal y no os asociéis con él, para que se avergüence.

And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

15 S in embargo, no lo tengáis por enemigo, sino amonestadle como a un hermano. Despedida y bendición final

Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

16 Y que el mismo Señor de paz siempre os conceda paz en todas las circunstancias. El Señor sea con todos vosotros.

Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

17 Y o, Pablo, escribo este saludo con mi propia mano, y ésta es una señal distintiva en todas mis cartas; así escribo yo.

The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.

18 L a gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con todos vosotros.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
