1 L íbrame de mis enemigos, Dios mío; ponme a salvo en lo alto, lejos de los que se levantan contra mí.

Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.

2 L íbrame de los que hacen iniquidad, y sálvame de los hombres sanguinarios.

Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.

3 P orque, he aquí, han puesto emboscada contra mi vida; hombres feroces me atacan, pero no es por mi transgresión, ni por mi pecado, Señor.

For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Lord.

4 S in culpa mía, corren y se preparan contra mí. Despierta para ayudarme, y mira.

They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold.

5 T ú, Señor, Dios de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, despierta para castigar a todas las naciones; no tengas piedad de ningún inicuo traidor. (Selah )

Thou therefore, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.

6 R egresan al anochecer, aúllan como perros, y rondan por la ciudad.

They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

7 H e aquí, se jactan con su boca; espadas hay en sus labios, pues dicen: ¿Quién oye ?

Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?

8 M as tú, oh Señor, te ríes de ellos; te burlas de todas las naciones.

But thou, O Lord, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.

9 A causa de su fuerza esperaré en ti, porque Dios es mi baluarte.

Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.

10 M i Dios en su misericordia vendrá a mi encuentro; Dios me permitirá mirar victorioso sobre mis enemigos.

The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.

11 N o los mates, para que mi pueblo no se olvide; dispérsalos con tu poder, y humíllalos, oh Señor, escudo nuestro.

Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.

12 P or el pecado de su boca y la palabra de sus labios, sean presos en su orgullo, y por las maldiciones y mentiras que profieren.

For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.

13 A cába los en tu furor, acába los, para que ya no existan; para que los hombres sepan que Dios gobierna en Jacob, hasta los confines de la tierra. (Selah)

Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.

14 R egresan al anochecer, aúllan como perros, y rondan por la ciudad;

And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

15 m erodean buscando qué devorar, y si no se sacian, gruñen.

Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.

16 P ero yo cantaré de tu poder; sí, gozoso cantaré por la mañana tu misericordia; porque tú has sido mi baluarte, y un refugio en el día de mi angustia.

But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.

17 O h fortaleza mía, a ti cantaré alabanzas; porque mi baluarte es Dios, el Dios que me muestra misericordia.

Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.
