1 E n el año veintisiete de Jeroboam, rey de Israel, comenzó a reinar Azarías, hijo de Amasías, rey de Judá.

In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.

2 T enía dieciséis años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó cincuenta y dos años en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre era Jecolía, de Jerusalén.

Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.

3 E hizo lo recto ante los ojos del Señor, conforme a todo lo que su padre Amasías había hecho.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;

4 S ólo que los lugares altos no fueron quitados; el pueblo todavía sacrificaba y quemaba incienso en los lugares altos.

Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.

5 Y el Señor hirió al rey, y quedó leproso hasta el día de su muerte. Y habitó en una casa separada, mientras Jotam, hijo del rey, estaba al frente de la casa, gobernando al pueblo de la tierra.

And the Lord smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king's son was over the house, judging the people of the land.

And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

7 Y durmió Azarías con sus padres, y lo sepultaron con sus padres en la ciudad de David, y su hijo Jotam reinó en su lugar. Varios reyes de Israel

So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.

8 E n el año treinta y ocho de Azarías, rey de Judá, Zacarías, hijo de Jeroboam, reinó seis meses sobre Israel en Samaria.

In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.

9 E hizo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor, como habían hecho sus padres; no se apartó de los pecados con que Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, hizo pecar a Israel.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

10 E ntonces Salum, hijo de Jabes, conspiró contra él y lo hirió delante del pueblo y lo mató, y reinó en su lugar.

And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

11 L os demás hechos de Zacarías, he aquí, están escritos en el libro de las Crónicas de los reyes de Israel.

And the rest of the acts of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

12 E sta es la palabra que el Señor habló a Jehú, diciendo: Tus hijos hasta la cuarta generación se sentarán en el trono de Israel. Y así fue.

This was the word of the Lord which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.

13 S alum, hijo de Jabes, comenzó a reinar en el año treinta y nueve de Uzías, rey de Judá, y reinó un mes en Samaria.

Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.

14 E ntonces Manahem, hijo de Gadi, subió de Tirsa y vino a Samaria, e hirió a Salum, hijo de Jabes, en Samaria, y lo mató y reinó en su lugar.

For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

16 E ntonces Manahem hirió a Tifsa y a todos los que estaban en ella y en sus alrededores desde Tirsa, porque no le abrieron las puertas, por eso la hirió; y abrió el vientre a todas las mujeres que estaban encinta.

Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.

17 E n el año treinta y nueve de Azarías, rey de Judá, Manahem, hijo de Gadi, comenzó a reinar sobre Israel; y reinó diez años en Samaria.

In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.

18 E hizo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor; todos sus días no se apartó de los pecados con que Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, hizo pecar a Israel.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

19 P ul, rey de Asiria, vino contra el país, y Manahem dio a Pul mil talentos de plata para que su mano estuviera con él para fortalecer el reino bajo su mando.

And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

20 E ntonces Manahem exigió el dinero a Israel, a todos los ricos poderosos, de cada uno cincuenta siclos de plata para pagar al rey de Asiria. Y el rey de Asiria se volvió y no se detuvo allí en el país.

And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.

22 Y durmió Manahem con sus padres, y su hijo Pekaía reinó en su lugar.

And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.

23 E n el año cincuenta de Azarías, rey de Judá, Pekaía, hijo de Manahem, comenzó a reinar sobre Israel en Samaria, y reinó dos años.

In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.

24 E hizo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor; no se apartó de los pecados con que Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, hizo pecar a Israel.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

25 E ntonces su oficial, Peka, hijo de Remalías, conspiró contra él y lo hirió en Samaria, en la ciudadela de la casa del rey, y también a Argob y a Arie; y con él estaban cincuenta hombres de los hijos de los galaaditas. Y lo mató y reinó en su lugar.

But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.

27 E n el año cincuenta y dos de Azarías, rey de Judá, Peka, hijo de Remalías, comenzó a reinar sobre Israel en Samaria, y reinó veinte años.

In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.

28 E hizo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor; no se apartó de los pecados con que Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, hizo pecar a Israel.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

29 E n los días de Peka, rey de Israel, vino Tiglat-pileser, rey de Asiria, y tomó Ijón, Abel-bet-maaca, Janoa, Cedes, Hazor, Galaad y Galilea, toda la tierra de Neftalí; y los llevó cautivos a Asiria.

In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abelbethmaachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.

30 Y Oseas, hijo de Ela, tramó una conspiración contra Peka, hijo de Remalías, y lo hirió y le dio muerte; y reinó en su lugar, en el año veinte de Jotam, hijo de Uzías.

And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.

33 T enía veinticinco años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó dieciséis años en Jerusalén; y el nombre de su madre era Jerusa, hija de Sadoc.

Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.

34 E hizo lo recto ante los ojos del Señor; hizo conforme a todo lo que su padre Uzías había hecho.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

35 S ólo que los lugares altos no fueron quitados; el pueblo todavía sacrificaba y quemaba incienso en los lugares altos. El edificó la puerta superior de la casa del Señor.

Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the Lord.

36 L os demás hechos de Jotam y todo lo que hizo, ¿no están escritos en el libro de las Crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

37 E n aquellos días el Señor comenzó a enviar a Rezín, rey de Aram, y a Peka, hijo de Remalías, contra Judá.

In those days the Lord began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.

38 Y durmió Jotam con sus padres, y fue sepultado con sus padres en la ciudad de su padre David; y su hijo Acaz reinó en su lugar.

And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
