1 P ablo, Silvano y Timoteo: A la iglesia de los tesalonicenses en Dios nuestro Padre y en el Señor Jesucristo:

Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

2 G racia a vosotros y paz de parte de Dios el Padre y del Señor Jesucristo. Acción de gracias

Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 S iempre tenemos que dar gracias a Dios por vosotros, hermanos, como es justo, porque vuestra fe aumenta grandemente, y el amor de cada uno de vosotros hacia los demás abunda más y más;

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

4 d e manera que nosotros mismos hablamos con orgullo de vosotros entre las iglesias de Dios, por vuestra perseverancia y fe en medio de todas las persecuciones y aflicciones que soportáis.

So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

5 E sta es una señal evidente del justo juicio de Dios, para que seáis considerados dignos del reino de Dios, por el cual en verdad estáis sufriendo. Justicia de la retribución final

Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

6 P orque después de todo, es justo delante de Dios retribuir con aflicción a los que os afligen,

Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

7 y daros alivio a vosotros que sois afligidos, y también a nosotros, cuando el Señor Jesús sea revelado desde el cielo con sus poderosos ángeles en llama de fuego,

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

8 d ando retribución a los que no conocen a Dios, y a los que no obedecen al evangelio de nuestro Señor Jesús.

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

9 E stos sufrirán el castigo de eterna destrucción, excluidos de la presencia del Señor y de la gloria de su poder,

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

10 c uando El venga para ser glorificado en sus santos en aquel día y para ser admirado entre todos los que han creído; porque nuestro testimonio ha sido creído por vosotros. Oración por los tesalonicenses

When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

11 C on este fin también nosotros oramos siempre por vosotros, para que nuestro Dios os considere dignos de vuestro llamamiento y cumpla todo deseo de bondad y la obra de fe, con poder,

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

12 a fin de que el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesús sea glorificado en vosotros, y vosotros en El, conforme a la gracia de nuestro Dios y del Señor Jesucristo.

That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
