1 O íd esto, sacerdotes, y estad atentos, casa de Israel, y casa del rey, escuchad, porque para vosotros es el juicio; pues lazo habéis sido en Mizpa, y red tendida sobre el Tabor.

Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.

2 Y los rebeldes se han ahondado en la perversión; pero yo los castigaré a todos ellos.

And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.

3 Y o conozco a Efraín, e Israel no se me oculta; porque ahora te has prostituido, Efraín, se ha contaminado Israel.

I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.

4 N o les permiten sus obras volver a su Dios, porque hay un espíritu de prostitución dentro de ellos, y no conocen al Señor.

They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the Lord.

5 A demás, el orgullo de Israel testifica contra él, e Israel y Efraín tropiezan en su iniquidad; también Judá ha tropezado con ellos.

And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them.

6 I rán con sus rebaños y sus ganados en busca del Señor, pero no le encontrarán; se ha retirado de ellos.

They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the Lord; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.

7 H an obrado perversamente contra el Señor, porque han engendrado hijos ilegítimos. Ahora los devorará la luna nueva junto con sus heredades.

They have dealt treacherously against the Lord: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.

8 T ocad la bocina en Guibeá, la trompeta en Ramá. Sonad alarma en Bet-avén: ¡Alerta, Benjamín!

Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Bethaven, after thee, O Benjamin.

9 E fraín será una desolación en el día de la reprensión; en las tribus de Israel yo hago saber lo que es cierto.

Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.

10 L os príncipes de Judá son como los que mueven los linderos; sobre ellos derramaré como agua mi furor.

The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.

11 E fraín está oprimido, quebrantado en juicio, porque insistía en seguir mandato de hombre.

Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.

12 Y o, pues, soy como polilla para Efraín, y como carcoma para la casa de Judá.

Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.

13 C uando Efraín vio su enfermedad y Judá su herida, Efraín fue a Asiria y envió mensaje al rey Jareb; pero él no os podrá sanar, ni curar vuestra herida.

When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.

14 P orque yo seré como león para Efraín, y como leoncillo para la casa de Judá. Yo, yo mismo, desgarraré y me iré, arrebataré y no habrá quien libre.

For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.

15 M e iré y volveré a mi lugar hasta que reconozcan su culpa y busquen mi rostro; en su angustia me buscarán con diligencia.

I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
