1 Д а! Поради това сърцето ми трепери И се измества от мястото си.

Yea, at this my heart trembleth, And is moved out of its place.

2 С лушайте внимателно гърма на гласа Му, И шума, който излиза из устата Му.

Hear, oh, hear the noise of his voice, And the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

3 П раща го под цялото небе И светкавицата Си до краищата на земята;

He sendeth it forth under the whole heaven, And his lightening unto the ends of the earth.

4 С лед нея рече глас, Гърми с гласа на величието Си, И не ги възпира щом се чуе гласа Му.

After it a voice roareth; He thundereth with the voice of his majesty; And he restraineth not the lightnings when his voice is heard.

5 Б ог гърми чудно с гласа Си, Върши велики дела, които не можем да разбираме;

God thundereth marvellously with his voice; Great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

6 З ащото казва на снега: Вали на земята, - Също и на проливния дъжд и на поройните Си дъждове;

For he saith to the snow, Fall thou on the earth; Likewise to the shower of rain, And to the showers of his mighty rain.

7 З апечатва ръката на всеки човек, Така щото всичките човеци, които е направил, да разбират силата Му.

He sealeth up the hand of every man, That all men whom he hath made may know it.

8 Т огава зверовете влизат в скривалищата И остават в рововете си.

Then the beasts go into coverts, And remain in their dens.

9 О т помещението си иде бурята, И студът от ветровете що разпръскват облаците.

Out of the chamber of the south cometh the storm, And cold out of the north.

10 Ч рез духане от Бога се дава лед, И широките води замръзват;

By the breath of God ice is given; And the breadth of the waters is straitened.

11 Т оже гъстия облак Той натоварва с влага, Простира на широко светкавичния Си облак,

Yea, he ladeth the thick cloud with moisture; He spreadeth abroad the cloud of his lightning:

12 К оито според Неговото наставление се носят наоколо За да правят всичко що им заповядва По лицето на земното кълбо.

And it is turned round about by his guidance, That they may do whatsoever he commandeth them Upon the face of the habitable world,

13 Б ило, че за наказание, или за земята Си, Или за милост, ги докарва.

Whether it be for correction, or for his land, Or for lovingkindness, that he cause it to come.

14 С лушай това, Иове, Застани та размисли върху чудесните Божии дела.

Hearken unto this, O Job: Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

15 Р азбираш ли как им налага Бог волята Си. И прави светкавицата да свети от облака Му?

Dost thou know how God layeth his charge upon them, And causeth the lightning of his cloud to shine?

16 Р азбираш ли как облаците увисват, Чудесните дела на Съвършения в знание? -

Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, The wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?

17 Т и, чиито дрехи стават топли, Когато земята е в затишие, поради южния вятър,

How thy garments are warm, When the earth is still by reason of the south wind?

18 М ожеш ли като Него да разпростреш небето, Което, като леяно огледало е здраво?

Canst thou with him spread out the sky, Which is strong as a molten mirror?

19 Н аучи ни що да Му кажем, Защото поради невежество ние не можем да наредим думите си

Teach us what we shall say unto him; For we cannot set our speech in order by reason of darkness.

20 Щ е Му се извести ли, че желая да говоря, Като зная че, ако продума човек непременно ще бъде погълнат?

Shall it be told him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up?

21 И сега човеците не могат да погледнат на светлината, Когато блещи на небето, като е заминал вятърът и го е очистил,

And now men see not the light which is bright in the skies; But the wind passeth, and cleareth them.

22 Т а е дошло златозарно сияние от север; А как ще погледнат на Бога, у Когото е страшна слава!

Out of the north cometh golden splendor: God hath upon him terrible majesty.

23 В семогъщ е, не можем да Го проумеем, превъзходен е в сила; А правосъдието и преизобилната правда Той няма да отврати.

Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out He is excellent in power; And in justice and plenteous righteousness he will not afflict.

24 З атова Му се боят човеците; Той не зачита никого от високоумните+.

Men do therefore fear him: He regardeth not any that are wise of heart.
