The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father; But a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

2 С ъкровища придобити с неправда не ползуват; А правдата избавя от смърт.

Treasures of wickedness profit nothing; But righteousness delivereth from death.

3 Г оспод не ще остави да гладува душата на праведния; Не отхвърля злобното желание на нечестивите.

Jehovah will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish; But he thrusteth away the desire of the wicked.

4 Л енивата ръка докарва сиромашия, А трудолюбивата ръка обогатява.

He becometh poor that worketh with a slack hand; But the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

5 К ойто събира лятно време, той е разумен син, А който спи в жетва, той е син, който докарва срам.

He that gathereth in summer is a wise son; But he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

6 Б лагословения почиват на главата на праведния; Но устата на нечестивите покриват насилство.

Blessings are upon the head of the righteous; But violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

7 П аметта на праведния е благословена, А името на нечестивите ще изгние.

The memory of the righteous is blessed; But the name of the wicked shall rot.

8 М ъдрият по сърце приема заповеди; А безумен бъбрица пада.

The wise in heart will receive commandments; But a prating fool shall fall.

9 К ойто ходи непорочно, ходи безопасно, А който изкривява пътищата си ще се познае.

He that walketh uprightly walketh surely; But he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

10 К ойто намигва с око докарва скръб, А безумен бъбрица пада.

He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow; But a prating fool shall fall.

11 У стата на праведния са извор на живот, А устата на нечестивите покриват насилие.

The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life; But violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

12 О мразата повдига раздори, А любовта покрива всички погрешки.

Hatred stirreth up strifes; But love covereth all transgressions.

13 В устните на разумния се намира мъдрост, А тоягата е за гърба на безумния.

In the lips of him that hath discernment wisdom is found; But a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.

14 М ъдрите запазват знанието, А устата на безумния близка погибел.

Wise men lay up knowledge; But the mouth of the foolish is a present destruction.

15 И мотът на богатия е неговият укрепен град, А съсипия за бедните е тяхната сиромашия.

The rich man's wealth is his strong city: The destruction of the poor is their poverty.

16 З аплатата на праведния е живот. А благоуспяването на нечестивия е за грях.

The labor of the righteous tendeth to life; The increase of the wicked, to sin.

17 К ойто внимава на изобличението е по пътя към живот. А който пренебрегва мъмренето, заблуждава се.

He is in the way of life that heedeth correction; But he that forsaketh reproof erreth.

18 К ойто скришно мрази има лъжливи устни; И който възгласява клевета е безумен.

He that hideth hatred is of lying lips; And he that uttereth a slander is a fool.

19 В многото говорене грехът е неизбежен; Но който въздържа устните си е разумен.

In the multitude of words there wanteth not transgression; But he that refraineth his lips doeth wisely.

20 Е зикът на праведния е избрано сребро; Сърцето на нечестивите малко струва.

The tongue of the righteous is as choice silver: The heart of the wicked is little worth.

21 У стните на праведния хранят мнозина; А безумните умират от нямане на разум.

The lips of the righteous feed many; But the foolish die for lack of understanding.

22 Б лагословението Господно обогатява; И трудът на човека не ще притури нищо.

The blessing of Jehovah, it maketh rich; And he addeth no sorrow therewith.

23 З лотворството е като забавление за безумния. Така и мъдростта на разумния човек.

It is as sport to a fool to do wickedness; And so is wisdom to a man of understanding.

24 Т ова, от, което се страхува нечестивият, ще го постигне; А желанието на праведните ще се изпълни.

The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him; And the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

25 К акто отминава вихрушката, така и нечестивият изчезва; А праведният има вечна основа.

When the whirlwind passeth, the wicked is no more; But the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

26 К акто е оцетът за зъбите и димът за очите, Така е ленивият за ония, които го пращат.

As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, So is the sluggard to them that send him.

27 С трахът от Господа придава дни, А годините на нечестивите се съкратяват.

The fear of Jehovah prolongeth days; But the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

28 Н адеждата на праведните е радост, А очакването на нечестивите е напразно.

The hope of the righteous shall be gladness; But the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

29 П ътят Господен е крепост за непорочния И съсипване за ония, които вършат беззаконие.

The way of Jehovah is a stronghold to the upright; But it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.

30 П раведният никога няма да се поклати, А нечестивите няма да населят земята,

The righteous shall never be removed; But the wicked shall not dwell in the land.

31 И з устата на праведния блика мъдрост, А лъжливият език ще се отреже.

The mouth of the righteous bringeth forth wisdom; But the perverse tongue shall be cut off.

32 У стните на праведния знаят приятното за слушане; А устата на нечестивите говорят извратеното.

The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable; But the mouth of the wicked speaketh perverseness.
