1 Т ака ми рече Господ: Иди та си купи ленен пояс, и опаши го на кръста си, но във вода не го туряй.

Thus the Lord said to me: “Go and get yourself a linen sash, and put it around your waist, but do not put it in water.”

2 И тъй, купих пояса, според Господното слово, и опасах го на кръста си.

So I got a sash according to the word of the Lord, and put it around my waist.

3 И Господното слово дойде към мене втори път и рече:

And the word of the Lord came to me the second time, saying,

4 В земи пояса, който си купил, който е на кръста ти, и стани та иди при Ефрат, и скрий го там в някоя пукнатина на канарата.

“Take the sash that you acquired, which is around your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole in the rock.”

5 П рочее, отидох та го скрих при Ефрат, според както ми заповяда Господ.

So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, as the Lord commanded me.

6 И подир много дни Господ ми рече: Стани та иди при Ефрат, и вземи от там пояса, който ти заповядах да скриеш там.

Now it came to pass after many days that the Lord said to me, “Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take from there the sash which I commanded you to hide there.”

7 Т огава отидох при Ефрат та изкопах, и взех пояса от мястото гдето бях го скрил; и, ето, поясът беше се развалил, не струваше за нищо.

Then I went to the Euphrates and dug, and I took the sash from the place where I had hidden it; and there was the sash, ruined. It was profitable for nothing.

8 Т огава Господното слово дойде към мене и рече:

Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

9 Т ака казва Господ: Също така ще разваля гордостта на Юда И голямата гордост на Ерусалим.

“Thus says the Lord: ‘In this manner I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.

10 Т ия зли люде, които отказват да слушат думите Ми, Които ходят според упоритостта на своето сърце, И следват други богове, за да им служат и да им се кланят, Ще бъдат като тоя пояс, който не струва за нищо.

This evil people, who refuse to hear My words, who follow the dictates of their hearts, and walk after other gods to serve them and worship them, shall be just like this sash which is profitable for nothing.

11 З ащото като пояс, който прилепва за кръста на човека, Аз прилепих при Себе Си целия Израилев дом И целия Юдов дом, казва Господ, За да Ми бъдат люде и име, Хвала и слава; но не послушаха.

For as the sash clings to the waist of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to Me,’ says the Lord, ‘that they may become My people, for renown, for praise, and for glory; but they would not hear.’ Symbol of the Wine Bottles

12 З а туй, кажи им това слово - Така казва Господ Израилевият Бог: Всеки мех се пълни с вино, И те ще ти рекат: Та не знаем ли ние, че всеки мех се пълни с вино?

“Therefore you shall speak to them this word: ‘Thus says the Lord God of Israel: “Every bottle shall be filled with wine.”’ And they will say to you, ‘Do we not certainly know that every bottle will be filled with wine?’

13 Т огава речи им: Така казва Господ: Ето, ще напълня до опиване всичките жители на тая земя, - Царете, които седят на Давидовия престол, Свещениците, пророците, И всичките ерусалимски жители.

“Then you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land—even the kings who sit on David’s throne, the priests, the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem—with drunkenness!

14 Щ е ги удрям един о друг, Бащите и синовете заедно, казва Господ; Няма да пожаля, нито да пощадя, нито да покажа милост Та да ги не изтребя.

And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together,” says the Lord. “I will not pity nor spare nor have mercy, but will destroy them.”’” Pride Precedes Captivity

15 С лушайте и внимавайте, не се надигайте; Защото Господ е говорил.

Hear and give ear: Do not be proud, For the Lord has spoken.

16 Д айте слава на Господа вашия Бог Преди да докара тъмнина, Преди нозете ви да се препънат по тъмните планини, И <преди> Той да превърне в мрачна сянка Виделото, което вие очаквате, И да го направи гъста тъмнина.

Give glory to the Lord your God Before He causes darkness, And before your feet stumble On the dark mountains, And while you are looking for light, He turns it into the shadow of death And makes it dense darkness.

17 Н о ако не послушате това, Душата ми ще плаче тайно поради гордостта <ви>; И окото ми ще се просълзи горчиво и ще рони сълзи, Защото стадото Господно се завежда в плен.

But if you will not hear it, My soul will weep in secret for your pride; My eyes will weep bitterly And run down with tears, Because the Lord ’s flock has been taken captive.

18 К ажи на царя и на овдовялата царица: Смирете се, седнете ниско, Защото падна главното ви <украшение>, Славната ви корона.

Say to the king and to the queen mother, “Humble yourselves; Sit down, For your rule shall collapse, the crown of your glory.”

19 Г радовете на юг се затвориха, И няма кой да ги отвори; Всички от Юда са закарани в плен, Той цял е заведен в плен.

The cities of the South shall be shut up, And no one shall open them; Judah shall be carried away captive, all of it; It shall be wholly carried away captive.

20 Д игни очите си та виж идещите от север; Где е стадото, което ти се даде, - хубавите твои овце?

Lift up your eyes and see Those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given to you, Your beautiful sheep?

21 К акво ще речеш, когато ще постави Приятелите <ти> да началствуват над тебе, Тъй като ти сам си ги научил <да бъдат> против тебе? Не ще ли те хванат болки както на жена, която ражда?

What will you say when He punishes you? For you have taught them To be chieftains, to be head over you. Will not pangs seize you, Like a woman in labor?

22 А ко ли речеш в сърцето си: Защо ми се случи това? Поради многото ти беззакония дигнаха се полите ти, И петите ти понасят насилие.

And if you say in your heart, “Why have these things come upon me?” For the greatness of your iniquity Your skirts have been uncovered, Your heels made bare.

23 М оже ли етиопянин да промени кожата си, или леопард пъстротите си? Тогава можете да правите добро вие, които сте се научили да правите зло.

Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots? Then may you also do good who are accustomed to do evil.

24 З атова ще ги разпръсна като плява, Която се разнася от пустинния вятър.

“Therefore I will scatter them like stubble That passes away by the wind of the wilderness.

25 Т ова е, <което> ти <се пада с> жребие от Мене, Отмереният ти дял, казва Господ, - Понеже си Ме забравил и си уповавал на лъжа,

This is your lot, The portion of your measures from Me,” says the Lord, “Because you have forgotten Me And trusted in falsehood.

26 З атова и Аз ще дигна полите ти до лицето ти, Та ще се яви срамотата ти.

Therefore I will uncover your skirts over your face, That your shame may appear.

27 В идях твоите мерзости по хълмовете и по полетата, Прелюбодействата ти и цвиленията ти, Безсрамното ти блудство. Горко ти, Ерусалиме! До кога още няма да се очистиш?

I have seen your adulteries And your lustful neighings, The lewdness of your harlotry, Your abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! Will you still not be made clean?”
