1 С ловото, което дойде към Еремия от Господа в десетата година на Юдовия цар Седекия, която година бе осемнадесетата на Навуходоносора.

The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.

2 А в това време войската на вавилонския цар обсаждаше Ерусалим; а пророк Еремия бе затворен в двора на стражата, която бе в двореца на Юдовия цар.

For then the king of Babylon’s army besieged Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah’s house.

3 З ащото Юдовият цар Седекия беше го затворил и казал <му> бе: Защо пророкуваш, думайки: Така казва Господ: Ето, Аз ще предам тоя град в ръката на вавилонския цар и той ще го завладее;

For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, “Why do you prophesy and say, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;

4 и Юдовият цар Седекия няма да избегне от ръката на халдейците, но непременно ще бъде предаден в ръката на вавилонския цар, и ще говори с него уста с уста, и ще се погледнат очи в очи;

and Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape from the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him face to face, and see him eye to eye;

5 И той ще заведе Седекия във Вавилон; и ще бъде там докле го посетя, казва Господ; <и>, ако воювате против халдейците, няма да успеете?

then he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there he shall be until I visit him,” says the Lord; “though you fight with the Chaldeans, you shall not succeed”’?”

6 И рече Еремия: Господното слово дойде към мене и каза:

And Jeremiah said, “The word of the Lord came to me, saying,

7 Е то, Анамеил, син на стрика ти Селум, ще дойде при тебе и ще рече: Купи си нивата ми, която е в Анатот; защото на тебе принадлежи правото на ближен сродник да я откупиш,

‘Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle will come to you, saying, “Buy my field which is in Anathoth, for the right of redemption is yours to buy it. ”’

8 И тъй, стриковият ми син Анамеил дойде при мене в двора на стражата, според Господното слово, та ми рече: Купи, моля, нивата ми, която е в Анатот във Вениаминовата земя; защото на тебе принадлежи правото да я наследиш, и на тебе <правото> да я откупиш; купи я за себе си. Тогава познах, че това <предложение> бе Господно слово.

Then Hanamel my uncle’s son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the Lord, and said to me, ‘Please buy my field that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption yours; buy it for yourself.’ Then I knew that this was the word of the Lord.

9 И купих нивата, която е в Анатот, от стриковия ми син Анамеил, и претеглих му парите, седемнадесет сикли сребро.

So I bought the field from Hanamel, the son of my uncle who was in Anathoth, and weighed out to him the money—seventeen shekels of silver.

10 И като написах записа и ударих печат, повиках свидетели и претеглих среброто във везните.

And I signed the deed and sealed it, took witnesses, and weighed the money on the scales.

11 Т огава взех записа за покупката, както запечатания, <съдържащ> споразуменията и условията, така и отворения;

So I took the purchase deed, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open;

12 и предадох записа за покупката на Варуха, син на Нирия, Маасиевия син, пред стриковия ми син Анамеил, и пред свидетелите, които подписаха записа за покупката, пред всичките юдеи, които седяха в двора на стражата.

and I gave the purchase deed to Baruch the son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the purchase deed, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the prison.

13 И заръчах на Варуха, пред тях, като казах:

“Then I charged Baruch before them, saying,

14 Т ака казва Господ на Силите, Израилевият Бог: Вземи тия записи - тоя запечатан запис за покупката, и тоя отворен запис - и тури ги в пръстен съд, за да стоят за дълго време.

‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Take these deeds, both this purchase deed which is sealed and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may last many days.”

15 З ащото така казва Господ на Силите, Израилевият Бог: Пак, ще се купуват в тая земя къщи, ниви и лозя.

For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.”’ Jeremiah Prays for Understanding

16 А след като предадох записа за покупката на Варуха, Нириевия син, помолих се Господу, казвайки:

“Now when I had delivered the purchase deed to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to the Lord, saying:

17 О Господи Иеова; ето, Ти си направил небето и земята с голямата Си сила и с простряната Си мишца; няма нищо мъчно за Тебе,

‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.

18 К ойто показваш милост към хиляди <родове>, а въздаваш беззаконието на бащите в пазухата на чадата им подир тях; великият, могъщественият Бог, Господ на Силите е името Му,

You show lovingkindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them—the Great, the Mighty God, whose name is the Lord of hosts.

19 в елик в намерения и силен в дела, Чиито очи са отворени над всичките пътища на човешките чада, за да въздадеш всекиму според пътищата му и според плода на делата му;

You are great in counsel and mighty in work, for Your eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings.

20 Т и, който си извършил знамения и чудеса в Египетската земя, <известни> дори до днес и в Израиля и между <другите> човеци, и си придоби име, каквото е днес;

You have set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, to this day, and in Israel and among other men; and You have made Yourself a name, as it is this day.

21 и си извел людете Си Израиля из Египетската земя със знамения и чудеса, с мощна ръка, с издигната мишца и с голям ужас;

You have brought Your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and with great terror;

22 и си им дал тая земя, за която си се заклел на бащите им да я дадеш на тях, земя, гдето тече мляко и мед;

You have given them this land, of which You swore to their fathers to give them—“a land flowing with milk and honey.”

23 и те влязоха и я завладяха; но понеже не послушаха гласа Ти, нито ходиха по закона Ти, и не направиха ни едно нещо от всичко що си им заповядал да правят, затова си докарал върху тях всичкото това зло.

And they came in and took possession of it, but they have not obeyed Your voice or walked in Your law. They have done nothing of all that You commanded them to do; therefore You have caused all this calamity to come upon them.

24 Е то могилите! <Неприятелите> стигнаха до града, за да го завладеят; и градът е предаден в ръката на халдейците, които воюват против него, поради ножа, и глада, и мора и това, което си говорил, стана; ето, Ти виждаш!

‘Look, the siege mounds! They have come to the city to take it; and the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword and famine and pestilence. What You have spoken has happened; there You see it!

25 А въпреки това, Господи Боже, Ти ми рече: Купи си нивата с пари, и повикай свидетели; при все че градът е предаден в ръката на халдейците.

And You have said to me, O Lord God, “Buy the field for money, and take witnesses”!—yet the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans.’” God’s Assurance of the People’s Return

26 Т огава дойде Господното слово към Еремия и рече:

Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying,

27 Е то, Аз съм Господ, Бог на всяка твар; има ли нещо мъчно за Мене?

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?

28 З атова така казва Господ: Ето, ще предам тоя град в ръката на халдейците, и в ръката на вавилонския цар Навуходоносора, и той ще го превземе.

Therefore thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it.

29 И халдейците, които воюват против тоя град, ще дойдат и, като запалят тоя град, ще го изгорят, заедно с къщите, върху чиито покриви кадяха на Ваала и правеха възлияния на други богове, та Ме разгневяваха.

And the Chaldeans who fight against this city shall come and set fire to this city and burn it, with the houses on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke Me to anger;

30 З ащото израилтяните и юдейците са извършвали само това, което бе зло пред Мене, от младостта си; защото израилтяните не струваха друго, освен да Ме разгневяват с делата на ръцете си, казва Господ.

because the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done only evil before Me from their youth. For the children of Israel have provoked Me only to anger with the work of their hands,’ says the Lord.

31 З ащото от деня, когато съградиха тоя град дори до днес, той е раздразнял гнева Ми и яростта Ми, та да го отхвърля от лицето Си,

‘For this city has been to Me a provocation of My anger and My fury from the day that they built it, even to this day; so I will remove it from before My face

32 п оради всичкото зло, което израилтяните и юдейците извършиха та Ме раздразняха, те, царете им, първенците им, свещениците им, пророците им, Юдовите мъже и ерусалимските жители.

because of all the evil of the children of Israel and the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke Me to anger—they, their kings, their princes, their priests, their prophets, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

33 Т е обърнаха гръб към Мене, а не лице; и при все, че Аз ги учех, като ставах рано и ги поучавах, пак те не послушаха и не приеха поука;

And they have turned to Me the back, and not the face; though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.

34 н о поставиха мерзостите си в дома, който се нарича с Моето име, та го оскверниха;

But they set their abominations in the house which is called by My name, to defile it.

35 и съградиха високите места на Ваала, които са в долината на Еномовия син, за да превеждат синовете си и дъщерите си през <огъня> на Молоха, - нещо, което не съм им заповядал, нито е идвало на сърцето Ми <мисълта>, че ще сторят тая мерзост та да направят Юда да съгрешава.

And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.’

36 С ега, прочее, така казва Господ, Израилевият Бог, за тоя град, за който вие казвате: Ще се предаде в ръката на вавилонския цар с нож, с глад и с мор:

“Now therefore, thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning this city of which you say, ‘It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence’:

37 Е то, ще ги събера от всички страни гдето бях ги изпъдил в гнева Си, в яростта Си и в голямото Си негодувание; и, като ги върна в това място, ще ги населя в безопасност;

Behold, I will gather them out of all countries where I have driven them in My anger, in My fury, and in great wrath; I will bring them back to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely.

38 и те ще Ми бъдат люде, и Аз ще им бъда Бог;

They shall be My people, and I will be their God;

39 и ще им дам едно сърце <да ходят в> един път, за да се боят <от Мене> винаги, за тяхно добро и <за доброто> на чадата им подир тях;

then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them.

40 и ще направя с тях вечен завет, че няма да се отвърна от да ги диря, за да им правя добро; и ще туря в сърцата им страх от Мене, за да не отстъпят от Мене;

And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me.

41 д ори ще се радвам над тях да им правя добро, и ще ги насадя с вярност в тая земя, с цялото Си сърце и с цялата Си душа.

Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.’

42 З ащото така казва Господ: Както докарах върху тия люде всичкото това голямо зло, така ще докарам върху тях и всичкото добро, което им съм обещал.

“For thus says the Lord: ‘Just as I have brought all this great calamity on this people, so I will bring on them all the good that I have promised them.

43 Щ е се купуват ниви в тая земя, за която казвате: Пуста е без човек или животно; предадена е в ръката на халдейците.

And fields will be bought in this land of which you say, “ It is desolate, without man or beast; it has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans.”

44 Щ е купуват ниви с пари, и като подписват записи и ги запечатват ще повикват свидетели във Вениаминовата земя и в ерусалимските околности, в Юдовите градове и в планинските градове, в полските градове и в южните градове; защото ще ги върна от пленението им, казва Господ.

Men will buy fields for money, sign deeds and seal them, and take witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, in the places around Jerusalem, in the cities of Judah, in the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South; for I will cause their captives to return,’ says the Lord.”
