2 N uestros ojos están puestos en ti, Señor y Dios nuestro, como los ojos de los siervos y las siervas que miran atentos a sus amos y sus amas; ¡esperamos que nos muestres tu bondad!

Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the Lord our God, Until He is gracious to us.

3 M uéstranos tu bondad, Señor; ¡muéstranos tu bondad! ¡Ya estamos cansados de que nos desprecien!

Be gracious to us, O Lord, be gracious to us, For we are greatly filled with contempt.

4 ¡ Ya estamos cansados de tantas burlas por parte de quienes todo lo tienen! ¡Cansados de que los soberbios nos menosprecien!

Our soul is greatly filled With the scoffing of those who are at ease, And with the contempt of the proud.
