1 ‘ Now if a person sins after he hears a public adjuration to testify when he is a witness, whether he has seen or otherwise known, if he does not tell it, then he will bear his guilt.

«Se uno commette peccato, dopo aver pubblicamente giurato di testimoniare, quando egli è testimone, perché ha visto il fatto o ne è venuto a conoscenza, se non lo riferisce, ne porterà la colpa.

2 O r if a person touches any unclean thing, whether a carcass of an unclean beast or the carcass of unclean cattle or a carcass of unclean swarming things, though it is hidden from him and he is unclean, then he will be guilty.

O se uno tocca qualcosa d'impuro, anche se non consapevolmente, come il cadavere di una bestia impura o il cadavere di un animale domestico impuro o il cadavere di un rettile impuro, rimarrà egli stesso impuro è colpevole.

3 O r if he touches human uncleanness, of whatever sort his uncleanness may be with which he becomes unclean, and it is hidden from him, and then he comes to know it, he will be guilty.

O se tocca una impurità umana, anche se non consapevolmente, qualunque cosa per mezzo della quale l'uomo diviene impuro quando lo riconosce, è colpevole.

4 O r if a person swears thoughtlessly with his lips to do evil or to do good, in whatever matter a man may speak thoughtlessly with an oath, and it is hidden from him, and then he comes to know it, he will be guilty in one of these.

O se uno senza rendersi conto, parlando sconsideratamente con le sue labbra, giura di fare del bene o di fare del male, qualunque cosa un uomo possa dire sconsideratamente con un giuramento, quando lo riconosce, è colpevole in ognuna di queste cose.

5 S o it shall be when he becomes guilty in one of these, that he shall confess that in which he has sinned.

Se dunque uno si è reso colpevole in una di queste cose, confesserà il peccato che ha commesso;

6 H e shall also bring his guilt offering to the Lord for his sin which he has committed, a female from the flock, a lamb or a goat as a sin offering. So the priest shall make atonement on his behalf for his sin.

porterà quindi all'Eterno, come sacrifico della sua colpa per il peccato che ha commesso, una femmina del gregge, una pecora o una capra, come sacrificio per il peccato; e il sacerdote farà per lui l'espiazione a motivo del suo peccato.

7 ‘ But if he cannot afford a lamb, then he shall bring to the Lord his guilt offering for that in which he has sinned, two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.

Se non ha mezzi per procurarsi una pecora, porterà all'Eterno, come sacrificio del peccato che ha commesso, due tortore o due giovani piccioni: uno come sacrificio per il peccato e l'altro come olocausto.

8 H e shall bring them to the priest, who shall offer first that which is for the sin offering and shall nip its head at the front of its neck, but he shall not sever it.

Li porterà al sacerdote, il quale offrirà prima quello per il peccato; gli staccherà la testa vicino alla nuca, ma senza separarla completamente;

9 H e shall also sprinkle some of the blood of the sin offering on the side of the altar, while the rest of the blood shall be drained out at the base of the altar: it is a sin offering.

poi spruzzerà un po' del sangue del sacrificio per il peccato sulla parete dell'altare, e il resto del sangue sarà fatto defluire alla base dell'altare. Questo è un sacrificio per il peccato.

10 T he second he shall then prepare as a burnt offering according to the ordinance. So the priest shall make atonement on his behalf for his sin which he has committed, and it will be forgiven him.

Dell'altro uccello farà un olocausto, secondo le norme stabilite. Così il sacerdote farà per quel tale l'espiazione del peccato che ha commesso, ed esso gli sarà perdonato.

11 ‘ But if his means are insufficient for two turtledoves or two young pigeons, then for his offering for that which he has sinned, he shall bring the tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall not put oil on it or place incense on it, for it is a sin offering.

Ma se non ha mezzi per procurarsi due tortore o due giovani piccioni, allora chi ha peccato porterà come sua offerta la decima parte di un efa di fior di farina, come sacrificio per il peccato; non metterà su di essa né olio né incenso perché è un sacrificio per il peccato.

12 H e shall bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it as its memorial portion and offer it up in smoke on the altar, with the offerings of the Lord by fire: it is a sin offering.

Porterà la farina al sacerdote e il sacerdote ne prenderà una manciata come ricordo, e la farà fumare sull'altare sopra i sacrifici fatti col fuoco all'Eterno. E' un sacrificio per il peccato.

13 S o the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin which he has committed from one of these, and it will be forgiven him; then the rest shall become the priest’s, like the grain offering.’”

Così il sacerdote farà per lui l'espiazione del suo peccato che ha commesso in una di queste cose, ed esso gli sarà perdonato. Il resto sarà del sacerdote come nell'oblazione di cibo».

14 T hen the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

L'Eterno parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo:

15 “ If a person acts unfaithfully and sins unintentionally against the Lord’s holy things, then he shall bring his guilt offering to the Lord: a ram without defect from the flock, according to your valuation in silver by shekels, in terms of the shekel of the sanctuary, for a guilt offering.

«Se uno commette una violazione e pecca per ignoranza contro le cose sante dell'Eterno, allora porterà all'Eterno la sua offerta per la trasgressione, un montone senza difetto preso dal gregge, valutata da te in sicli d'argento, secondo il siclo del santuario, come offerta per la trasgressione.

16 H e shall make restitution for that which he has sinned against the holy thing, and shall add to it a fifth part of it and give it to the priest. The priest shall then make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering, and it will be forgiven him.

E risarcirà il danno che ha causato nei confronti della cosa santa, aggiungendovi un quinto in piú, e lo darà al sacerdote; così il sacerdote farà per lui l'espiazione col montone dell'offerta per la trasgressione, e la trasgressione gli sarà perdonata.

17 “ Now if a person sins and does any of the things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, though he was unaware, still he is guilty and shall bear his punishment.

Se uno pecca e, senza rendersene conto, commette qualunque cosa che l'Eterno ha vietato di fare, è ugualmente colpevole e ne porta la pena.

18 H e is then to bring to the priest a ram without defect from the flock, according to your valuation, for a guilt offering. So the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his error in which he sinned unintentionally and did not know it, and it will be forgiven him.

Egli porterà al sacerdote, come offerta per la trasgressione, un montone senza difetto, preso dal gregge, secondo la tua valutazione. Così il sacerdote farà per lui l'espiazione per il suo peccato di ignoranza, che ha commesso senza rendersene conto, ed esso gli sarà perdonato.

19 I t is a guilt offering; he was certainly guilty before the Lord.”

Questa è un'offerta per la trasgressione; egli è certamente colpevole davanti all'Eterno».
