1 P or lo demás, hermanos, gozaos en el Señor. Para mí no es molestia el escribiros las mismas cosas, y para vosotros es útil.

Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe.

2 G uardaos de los perros, guardaos de los malos obreros, guardaos de los que mutilan el cuerpo.

Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation!

3 N osotros somos la circuncisión, los que en espíritu servimos a Dios y nos gloriamos en Cristo Jesús, no teniendo confianza en la carne,

For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,

4 a unque yo tengo también de qué confiar en la carne. Si alguno piensa que tiene de qué confiar en la carne, yo más:

though I also might have confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so:

5 c ircuncidado al octavo día, del linaje de Israel, de la tribu de Benjamín, hebreo de hebreos; en cuanto a la Ley, fariseo;

circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee;

6 e n cuanto a celo, perseguidor de la iglesia; en cuanto a la justicia que se basa en la Ley, irreprochable.

concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

7 P ero cuantas cosas eran para mí ganancia, las he estimado como pérdida por amor de Cristo.

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.

8 Y ciertamente, aun estimo todas las cosas como pérdida por la excelencia del conocimiento de Cristo Jesús, mi Señor. Por amor a él lo he perdido todo y lo tengo por basura, para ganar a Cristo

Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ

9 y ser hallado en él, no teniendo mi propia justicia, que se basa en la Ley, sino la que se adquiere por la fe en Cristo, la justicia que procede de Dios y se basa en la fe.

and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

10 Q uiero conocerlo a él y el poder de su resurrección, y participar de sus padecimientos hasta llegar a ser semejante a él en su muerte,

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,

11 s i es que en alguna manera logro llegar a la resurrección de entre los muertos.

if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Pressing Toward the Goal

12 N o que lo haya alcanzado ya, ni que ya sea perfecto; sino que prosigo, por ver si logro asir aquello para lo cual fui también asido por Cristo Jesús.

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.

13 H ermanos, yo mismo no pretendo haberlo ya alcanzado; pero una cosa hago: olvidando ciertamente lo que queda atrás y extendiéndome a lo que está delante,

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,

14 p rosigo a la meta, al premio del supremo llamamiento de Dios en Cristo Jesús.

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

15 A sí que, todos los que somos perfectos, esto mismo sintamos; y si otra cosa sentís, esto también os lo revelará Dios.

Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.

16 P ero en aquello a que hemos llegado, sigamos una misma regla, sintamos una misma cosa.

Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind. Our Citizenship in Heaven

17 H ermanos, sed imitadores de mí y mirad a los que así se conducen según el ejemplo que tenéis en nosotros,

Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern.

18 p orque por ahí andan muchos, de los cuales os dije muchas veces, y aun ahora lo digo llorando, que son enemigos de la cruz de Cristo.

For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

19 E l fin de ellos será la perdición. Su dios es el vientre, su gloria es aquello que debería avergonzarlos, y sólo piensan en lo terrenal.

whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things.

20 P ero nuestra ciudadanía está en los cielos, de donde también esperamos al Salvador, al Señor Jesucristo.

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

21 É l transformará nuestro cuerpo mortal en un cuerpo glorioso semejante al suyo, por el poder con el cual puede también sujetar a sí mismo todas las cosas.

who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.
