1 ¡ Vuelve, Israel, a Jehová, tu Dios, pues por tu pecado has caído!

O Israel, return to the Lord your God, For you have stumbled because of your iniquity;

2 L levad con vosotros palabras de súplica, volved a Jehová y decidle: «Quita toda iniquidad, acepta lo bueno, te ofreceremos la ofrenda de nuestros labios.

Take words with you, And return to the Lord. Say to Him, “Take away all iniquity; Receive us graciously, For we will offer the sacrifices of our lips.

3 N o nos librará el asirio; ya no montaremos a caballo, ni nunca más diremos a la obra de nuestras manos: “Dioses nuestros”, porque en ti el huérfano alcanzará misericordia.»

Assyria shall not save us, We will not ride on horses, Nor will we say anymore to the work of our hands, ‘ You are our gods.’ For in You the fatherless finds mercy.”

4 « Yo los sanaré de su rebelión, los amaré de pura gracia, porque mi ira se apartó de ellos.

“I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely, For My anger has turned away from him.

5 Y o seré a Israel como rocío: él florecerá como lirio y hundirá sus raíces como el Líbano.

I will be like the dew to Israel; He shall grow like the lily, And lengthen his roots like Lebanon.

6 S e extenderán sus ramas, su gloria será como la del olivo y perfumará como el Líbano.

His branches shall spread; His beauty shall be like an olive tree, And his fragrance like Lebanon.

7 V olverán a sentarse a su sombra; serán vivificados como el trigo y florecerán como la vid; su olor será como de vino del Líbano.

Those who dwell under his shadow shall return; They shall be revived like grain, And grow like a vine. Their scent shall be like the wine of Lebanon.

8 E fraín dirá: “¿Qué tengo que ver con los ídolos?” Yo lo oiré y velaré por él; yo seré para él como un pino siempre verde; de mí procederá tu fruto.»

“Ephraim shall say, ‘What have I to do anymore with idols?’ I have heard and observed him. I am like a green cypress tree; Your fruit is found in Me.”

9 ¿ Quién es sabio para que sepa esto, y prudente para que lo comprenda? Porque los caminos de Jehová son rectos, por ellos andarán los justos, mas los rebeldes caerán en ellos.

Who is wise? Let him understand these things. Who is prudent? Let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right; The righteous walk in them, But transgressors stumble in them.
