1 H e that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I say of Jehovah, My refuge and my fortress; my God, I will confide in him.

Ще казвам за Господа: Той е прибежище мое и крепост моя, Бог мой, на Когото уповавам.

3 S urely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, from the destructive pestilence.

Защото Той ще те избавя от примката на ловеца И от гибелен мор.

4 H e shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou find refuge: his truth is a shield and buckler.

С перата Си ще те покрива; И под крилата Му ще прибегнеш; Неговата вярност е щит и закрила.

5 T hou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, for the arrow that flieth by day,

Няма да се боиш от нощен страх, От стрелата, която лети денем,

6 F or the pestilence that walketh in darkness, for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

От мор, който ходи в тъмнина, От погибел, която опустошава всред пладне.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; it shall not come nigh thee.

Хиляда души ще падат от страната ти, И десет хиляди до десницата ти, <Но> до тебе няма да се приближи.

8 O nly with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the reward of the wicked.

Само с очите си ще гледаш, И ще видиш възмездието на нечестивите

9 B ecause thou hast made Jehovah, my refuge, the Most High, thy dwelling-place,

Понеже ти <си казал>: Господ е прибежище мое, И си направил Всевишния обиталището си,

10 T here shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.

Затова няма да те сполети никакво зло, Нито ще се приближи язва до шатъра ти.

11 F or he shall give his angels charge concerning thee, to keep thee in all thy ways:

Защото ще заповяда на ангелите Си за тебе Да те пазят във всичките ти пътища.

12 T hey shall bear thee up in hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

На ръце ще те дигат, Да не би да удариш о камък ногата си.

13 T hou shalt tread upon the lion and the adder; the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under foot.

Ще настъпиш лъв и аспид; Ще стъпчеш млад лъв и змия.

14 B ecause he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

Понеже той е положил в Мене любовта си, <казва Господ>, Затова ще го избавя; Ще го поставя в безопасност {Еврейски: На всичко.}, защото е познал името Ми.

15 H e shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him.

Той ще Ме призове, и Аз ще го послушам; С него ще съм, <когато е> в бедствие; ще го избавя и ще го прославя.

16 W ith length of days will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Ще го наситя с дългоденствие, И ще му покажа спасението, което върша.
