1 F or the rest, then, brethren, we beg you and exhort you in Lord Jesus, even as ye have received from us how ye ought to walk and please God, even as ye also do walk, that ye would abound still more.

Впрочем, братя, молим и увещаваме ви в Господа Исуса, щото, както сте научили от нас, как трябва да се обхождате и да угождавате на Бога, (както и се обхождате), <така> да преуспявате повече и повече.

2 F or ye know what charges we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

Защото знаете, какви поръчки ви дадохме от името на Господа Исуса.

3 F or this is will of God, your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication;

Понеже това е Божията воля - вашето освещение: да се въздържате от блудство;

4 t hat each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honour,

да знае всеки от вас, как да държи своя съсъд със светост и почест,

5 ( not in passionate desire, even as the nations who know not God,)

не в страстна похот, както и езичниците, които не знаят Бога;

6 n ot overstepping the rights of and wronging his brother in the matter, because the Lord the avenger of all these things, even as we also told you before, and have fully testified.

и да не престъпва <никой>, та да поврежда брата си в това нещо; защото за всичко това Бог е мъздовъздател, както ви и от по-напред явихме и уверихме.

7 F or God has not called us to uncleanness, but in sanctification.

Защото Бог не ни е призовал на нечистота, а на светост.

8 H e therefore that disregards, disregards, not man, but God, who has given also his Holy Spirit to you.

Затуй, който отхвърля <това>, не отхвърля човека, но Бога. Който ви дава Светия Си Дух.

9 N ow concerning brotherly love ye have no need that we should write to you, for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

А за братолюбието няма нужда да ви пиша; защото сами вие сте научени от Бога да се любите един друг;

10 F or also ye do this towards all the brethren in the whole of Macedonia; but we exhort you, brethren, to abound still more,

понеже и правите това на всичките братя по цяла Македония. Но молим ви се, братя, да преуспявате <в това> повече и повече

11 a nd to seek earnestly to be quiet and mind your own affairs, and work with your hands, even as we charged you,

и усърдно да се стараете да живеете тихо, да вършите своите работи и да работите с ръцете си, както ви заръчахме;

12 t hat ye may walk reputably towards those without, and may have need of no one.

за да се обхождате благоприлично пред външните и да нямате нужда от нищо.

13 B ut we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them that are fallen asleep, to the end that ye be not grieved even as also the rest who have no hope.

А не желаем, братя, да останете в неизвестност за ония, които умират, за да не скърбите както другите, които нямат надежда.

14 F or if we believe that Jesus has died and has risen again, so also God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.

Защото, ако вярваме, че Исус умря и възкръсна, така и починалите в Исуса Бог ще приведе заедно с Него.

15 ( For this we say to you in word of Lord, that we, the living, who remain to the coming of the Lord, are in no way to anticipate those who have fallen asleep;

Защото това ви казваме чрез Господното слово, че ние, които останем живи до Господното пришествие, няма да предварим починалите.

16 f or the Lord himself, with an assembling shout, with archangel's voice and with trump of God, shall descend from heaven; and the dead in Christ shall rise first;

Понеже сам Господ ще слезе от небето с повелителен вик, при глас на архангел и при Божия тръба; и мъртвите в Христа ще възкръснат по-напред;

17 t hen we, the living who remain, shall be caught up together with them in clouds, to meet the Lord in air; and thus we shall be always with Lord.

после ние, които сме останали живи, ще бъдем грабнати заедно с тях в облаците да посрещнем Господа във въздуха; и така ще бъдем всякога с Господа.

18 S o encourage one another with these words.)

И тъй, насърчавайте се един друг с тия думи.
