1 A nd I said, Hear, I pray you, ye heads of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel: Is it not for you to know judgment?

И рекох: Слушайте сега, първенци Яковови, И началници на Израилевия дом: Не трябва ли вие да знаете правосъдието, -

2 Y e who hate the good, and love evil; who pluck off their skin from them, and their flesh from off their bones;

Вие, които мразите доброто и обичате злото, Които одирате кожата от <хората>. И месото от костите им, -

3 a nd who eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them, and break their bones, and chop them in pieces as for the pot, and as flesh within the cauldron.

Които изяждате месото на людете Ми, И дерете кожата от тях, - Които трошите костите им, И ги насичате като за котел, И като месо за в гърнето?

4 T hen shall they cry unto Jehovah, but he will not answer them; and he will hide his face from them at that time, according as they have wrought evil in their doings.

Тогава ще извикат към Господа, но няма да ги послуша, Дори ще скрие лицето Си от тях в онова време, Както и те се обходиха зле в делата си.

5 T hus saith Jehovah concerning the prophets that cause my people to err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace! but whoso putteth not into their mouths they prepare war against him:

Така казва Господ За пророците, които заблуждават людете Ми, - Които, докато хапят със зъбите си, викат - Мир! Но, ако не тури някой <нещо> в устата им Обявяват война против него;

6 t herefore ye shall have night without a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, without divination; and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be black over them.

Затова ще ви бъде нощ, та да нямате видение, И ще ви бъде тъмно, та да не прокобявате, Слънцето ще залезе за пророците, И денят ще се смрачи над тях.

7 A nd the seers shall be ashamed, and the diviners confounded; and they shall all cover their lips, for there will be no answer of God.

Тогава гледачите ще се засрамят, И чародеите ще се смутят; Да! те всички ще се покрият до горната си устна, Защото няма отговор от Бога.

8 B ut truly I am filled with power by the Spirit of Jehovah, and with judgment and with might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

Но аз наистина съм пълен със сила, Със съдба, и с мощ чрез Духа Господен, За да изявя на Якова престъплението му, И на Израиля греха му.

9 H ear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity,

Слушайте прочее това, първенци на Якововия дом, И началници на Израилевия дом, Които се гнусите от правосъдие, И извращате всяка правота, -

10 t hat build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with unrighteousness.

Които градите Сион с кръв, И Ерусалим с беззаконие, -

11 T he heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money; yet do they lean upon Jehovah, and say, Is not Jehovah in the midst of us? no evil shall come upon us.

На които първенците съдят за подкупи, Свещениците му учат за заплата, И пророците му чародействуват за пари, И пак се облягат на Господа, и казват: Не е ли Господ всред нас? Никакво зло няма да ни сполети;

12 T herefore shall Zion for your sake be ploughed a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.

Затова поради вас Сион ще се изоре като нива, Ерусалим ще стане грамади <развалини>, И хълмът на дома <Господен >като високи места на лес.
