1 П авел, волею Божиею призванный Апостол Иисуса Христа, и Сосфен брат,

Paul, called as an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

2 ц еркви Божией, находящейся в Коринфе, освященным во Христе Иисусе, призванным святым, со всеми призывающими имя Господа нашего Иисуса Христа, во всяком месте, у них и у нас:

To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints by calling, with all who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:

3 б лагодать вам и мир от Бога Отца нашего и Господа Иисуса Христа.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

4 Н епрестанно благодарю Бога моего за вас, ради благодати Божией, дарованной вам во Христе Иисусе,

I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus,

5 п отому что в Нем вы обогатились всем, всяким словом и всяким познанием, --

that in everything you were enriched in Him, in all speech and all knowledge,

6 и бо свидетельство Христово утвердилось в вас, --

even as the testimony concerning Christ was confirmed in you,

7 т ак что вы не имеете недостатка ни в каком даровании, ожидая явления Господа нашего Иисуса Христа,

so that you are not lacking in any gift, awaiting eagerly the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

8 К оторый и утвердит вас до конца, неповинными в день Господа нашего Иисуса Христа.

who will also confirm you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 В ерен Бог, Которым вы призваны в общение Сына Его Иисуса Христа, Господа нашего.

God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

10 У моляю вас, братия, именем Господа нашего Иисуса Христа, чтобы все вы говорили одно, и не было между вами разделений, но чтобы вы соединены были в одном духе и в одних мыслях.

Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.

11 И бо от Хлоиных сделалось мне известным о вас, братия мои, что между вами есть споры.

For I have been informed concerning you, my brethren, by Chloe’s people, that there are quarrels among you.

12 Я разумею то, что у вас говорят: 'я Павлов'; 'я Аполлосов'; 'я Кифин'; 'а я Христов'.

Now I mean this, that each one of you is saying, “I am of Paul,” and “I of Apollos,” and “I of Cephas,” and “I of Christ.”

13 Р азве разделился Христос? разве Павел распялся за вас? или во имя Павла вы крестились?

Has Christ been divided? Paul was not crucified for you, was he? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

14 Б лагодарю Бога, что я никого из вас не крестил, кроме Криспа и Гаия,

I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,

15 д абы не сказал кто, что я крестил в мое имя.

so that no one would say you were baptized in my name.

16 К рестил я также Стефанов дом; а крестил ли еще кого, не знаю.

Now I did baptize also the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized any other.

17 И бо Христос послал меня не крестить, а благовествовать, не в премудрости слова, чтобы не упразднить креста Христова.

For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void. The Wisdom of God

18 И бо слово о кресте для погибающих юродство есть, а для нас, спасаемых, --сила Божия.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

19 И бо написано: погублю мудрость мудрецов, и разум разумных отвергну.

For it is written, “ I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And the cleverness of the clever I will set aside.”

20 Г де мудрец? где книжник? где совопросник века сего? Не обратил ли Бог мудрость мира сего в безумие?

Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

21 И бо когда мир мудростью не познал Бога в премудрости Божией, то благоугодно было Богу юродством проповеди спасти верующих.

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

22 И бо и Иудеи требуют чудес, и Еллины ищут мудрости;

For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom;

23 а мы проповедуем Христа распятого, для Иудеев соблазн, а для Еллинов безумие,

but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,

24 д ля самих же призванных, Иудеев и Еллинов, Христа, Божию силу и Божию премудрость;

but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

25 п отому что немудрое Божие премудрее человеков, и немощное Божие сильнее человеков.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 П осмотрите, братия, кто вы, призванные: не много мудрых по плоти, не много сильных, не много благородных;

For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble;

27 н о Бог избрал немудрое мира, чтобы посрамить мудрых, и немощное мира избрал Бог, чтобы посрамить сильное;

but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong,

28 и незнатное мира и уничиженное и ничего не значащее избрал Бог, чтобы упразднить значащее, --

and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,

29 д ля того, чтобы никакая плоть не хвалилась пред Богом.

so that no man may boast before God.

30 О т Него и вы во Христе Иисусе, Который сделался для нас премудростью от Бога, праведностью и освящением и искуплением,

But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,

31 ч тобы, как написано: хвалящийся хвались Господом.

so that, just as it is written, “ Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.”
