1 A nd again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house.

Cuando Jesús entró de nuevo en Capernaúm varios días después, se oyó que estaba en casa.

2 I mmediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them.

Y se reunieron muchos, tanto que ya no había lugar ni aun a la puerta; y El les explicaba la palabra.

3 T hen they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men.

Entonces vinieron y Le trajeron un paralítico llevado entre cuatro hombres.

4 A nd when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.

Como no pudieron acercarse a Jesús a causa de la multitud, levantaron el techo encima de donde El estaba; y cuando habían hecho una abertura, bajaron la camilla en que estaba acostado el paralítico.

5 W hen Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”

Viendo Jesús la fe de ellos, dijo al paralítico: “Hijo, tus pecados te son perdonados.”

6 A nd some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,

Pero estaban allí sentados algunos de los escribas, los cuales pensaban en sus corazones:

7 “ Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

“¿Por qué habla Este así? Está blasfemando; ¿quién puede perdonar pecados, sino sólo Dios ?”

8 B ut immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts?

Al instante Jesús, conociendo en Su espíritu que pensaban de esa manera dentro de sí mismos, les dijo: “¿Por qué piensan estas cosas en sus corazones?

9 W hich is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘ Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’?

¿Qué es más fácil, decir al paralítico: ‘Tus pecados te son perdonados,’ o decir le: ‘Levántate, toma tu camilla y anda’?

10 B ut that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins” —He said to the paralytic,

Pues para que sepan que el Hijo del Hombre tiene autoridad en la tierra para perdonar pecados,” dijo al paralítico:

11 “ I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”

“A ti te digo: levántate, toma tu camilla y vete a tu casa.”

12 I mmediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!” Matthew the Tax Collector

Y él se levantó, y tomando al instante la camilla, salió a la vista de todos, de manera que todos estaban asombrados, y glorificaban a Dios, diciendo: “Jamás hemos visto cosa semejante.” Llamamiento de Leví y la Cena en su Casa

13 T hen He went out again by the sea; and all the multitude came to Him, and He taught them.

Jesús salió de nuevo a la orilla del mar, y toda la multitud venía a El, y les enseñaba.

14 A s He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him.

Al pasar, vio a Leví (Mateo), hijo de Alfeo, sentado en la oficina de los tributos, y le dijo: “Sígueme.” Y levantándose, Lo siguió.

15 N ow it happened, as He was dining in Levi’s house, that many tax collectors and sinners also sat together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him.

Y sucedió que estando Jesús sentado a la mesa en casa de Leví (Mateo), muchos recaudadores de impuestos y pecadores estaban comiendo con Jesús y Sus discípulos; porque había muchos de ellos que Lo seguían.

16 A nd when the scribes and Pharisees saw Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples, “How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”

Cuando los escribas de los Fariseos vieron que El comía con pecadores y recaudadores de impuestos, decían a Sus discípulos: “¿Por qué El come y bebe con recaudadores de impuestos y pecadores ?”

17 W hen Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Jesus Is Questioned About Fasting

Al oír esto, Jesús les dijo: “Los que están sanos no tienen necesidad de médico, sino los que están enfermos; no he venido a llamar a justos, sino a pecadores.” Pregunta sobre el Ayuno

18 T he disciples of John and of the Pharisees were fasting. Then they came and said to Him, “Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?”

Los discípulos de Juan y los Fariseos estaban ayunando; y vinieron y dijeron a Jesús: “¿Por qué ayunan los discípulos de Juan y los discípulos de los Fariseos, pero Tus discípulos no ayunan?”

19 A nd Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast.

Y Jesús les respondió: “¿Acaso pueden ayunar los acompañantes del novio mientras el novio está con ellos? Mientras tienen al novio con ellos, no pueden ayunar.

20 B ut the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days.

Pero vendrán días cuando el novio les será quitado, y entonces ayunarán en aquel día.

21 N o one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; or else the new piece pulls away from the old, and the tear is made worse.

Nadie pone un remiendo de tela nueva en un vestido viejo, porque entonces el remiendo al encogerse tira de él, lo nuevo de lo viejo, y se produce una rotura peor.

22 A nd no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.” Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath

Y nadie echa vino nuevo en odres viejos, porque entonces el vino romperá el odre, y se pierden el vino y también los odres; sino que se echa vino nuevo en odres nuevos.” Jesús, Señor del Día de Reposo

23 N ow it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain.

Aconteció que un día de reposo Jesús pasaba por los sembrados, y Sus discípulos, mientras se abrían paso, comenzaron a arrancar espigas.

24 A nd the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why do they do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

Entonces los Fariseos Le decían: “Mira, ¿por qué hacen lo que no es lícito en el día de reposo ?”

25 B ut He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him:

Jesús les contestó: “¿Nunca han leído lo que David hizo cuando tuvo necesidad y sintió hambre, él y también sus compañeros;

26 h ow he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?”

cómo entró en la casa de Dios en tiempos de Abiatar, el sumo sacerdote, y comió los panes consagrados que no es lícito a nadie comer, sino a los sacerdotes, y dio también a los que estaban con él ?”

27 A nd He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.

Y El continuó diciéndoles: “El día de reposo se hizo para el hombre, y no el hombre para el día de reposo.

28 T herefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”

Por tanto, el Hijo del Hombre es Señor aun del día de reposo.”
