1 A nd I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals.

En la mano derecha de Aquél que estaba sentado en el trono vi un libro (un rollo) escrito por dentro y por fuera, sellado con siete sellos.

2 T hen I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?”

Vi también a un ángel poderoso que anunciaba a gran voz: “¿Quién es digno de abrir el libro y de desatar sus sellos?”

3 A nd no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.

Y nadie, ni en el cielo ni en la tierra ni debajo de la tierra, podía abrir el libro ni mirar su contenido.

4 S o I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.

Yo lloraba mucho, porque nadie había sido hallado digno de abrir el libro ni de mirar su contenido.

5 B ut one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”

Entonces uno de los ancianos me dijo: “No llores; mira, el León de la tribu de Judá, la Raíz de David, ha vencido para abrir el libro y sus siete sellos.”

6 A nd I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

Miré, y vi entre el trono (con los cuatro seres vivientes) y los ancianos, a un Cordero, de pie, como inmolado, que tenía siete cuernos y siete ojos, que son los siete Espíritus de Dios enviados por toda la tierra.

7 T hen He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne. Worthy Is the Lamb

El vino y tomó el libro de la mano derecha de Aquél que estaba sentado en el trono.

8 N ow when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

Cuando tomó el libro, los cuatro seres vivientes y los veinticuatro ancianos se postraron delante del Cordero. Cada uno tenía un arpa y copas de oro llenas de incienso, que son las oraciones de los santos.

9 A nd they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

Y cantaban un cántico nuevo, diciendo: “Digno eres de tomar el libro y de abrir sus sellos, porque Tú fuiste inmolado, y con Tu sangre compraste (redimiste) para Dios a gente de toda tribu, lengua, pueblo y nación.

10 A nd have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”

Y los has hecho un reino y sacerdotes para nuestro Dios; y reinarán sobre la tierra.”

11 T hen I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,

Y miré, y oí la voz de muchos ángeles alrededor del trono y de los seres vivientes y de los ancianos. El número de ellos era miríadas de miríadas, y millares de millares,

12 s aying with a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

que decían a gran voz: “El Cordero que fue inmolado es digno de recibir el poder, las riquezas, la sabiduría, la fortaleza, el honor, la gloria y la alabanza.”

13 A nd every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: “Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

Y oí decir a toda cosa creada que está en el cielo, sobre la tierra, debajo de la tierra y en el mar, y a todas las cosas que en ellos hay: “Al que está sentado en el trono, y al Cordero, sea la alabanza, la honra, la gloria y el dominio por los siglos de los siglos.”

14 T hen the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.

Los cuatro seres vivientes decían: “Amén,” y los ancianos se postraron y adoraron.
