1 T he word of the Lord came to me again, saying,

15 I will pour My fury on Sin, the strength of Egypt; I will cut off the multitude of No,

20 A nd it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh day of the month, that the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

En el año once, el mes primero, el día siete del mes, vino a mí la palabra del Señor:

21 “ Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and see, it has not been bandaged for healing, nor a splint put on to bind it, to make it strong enough to hold a sword.

“Hijo de hombre, he quebrado el brazo de Faraón, rey de Egipto, y no ha sido vendado para curarlo, ni ligado con vendas de modo que cobre fuerzas para empuñar la espada.

22 T herefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Surely I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, both the strong one and the one that was broken; and I will make the sword fall out of his hand.

Por tanto, así dice el Señor Dios: ‘Yo estoy en contra de Faraón, rey de Egipto. Quebraré sus brazos, tanto el fuerte como el fracturado, y haré que la espada caiga de su mano.

23 I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them throughout the countries.

24 I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put My sword in his hand; but I will break Pharaoh’s arms, and he will groan before him with the groanings of a mortally wounded man.

Fortaleceré los brazos del rey de Babilonia y pondré Mi espada en su mano; y quebraré los brazos de Faraón, que delante de Nabucodonosor gemirá con gemidos de un mal herido.

25 T hus I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; they shall know that I am the Lord, when I put My sword into the hand of the king of Babylon and he stretches it out against the land of Egypt.

Fortaleceré, pues, los brazos del rey de Babilonia, pero los brazos de Faraón caerán. Entonces sabrán que Yo soy el Señor, cuando ponga Mi espada en la mano del rey de Babilonia y él la esgrima contra la tierra de Egipto.

26 I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them throughout the countries. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.’”

Cuando Yo disperse a los Egipcios entre las naciones y los esparza por las tierras, entonces sabrán que Yo soy el Señor.’”
