1 ¶ The sons of Judah: Pharez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur, and Shobal.

2 A nd Reaiah, the son of Shobal, begat Jahath, and Jahath begat Ahumai and Lahad. These are the families of the Zorathites.

И Реаия Соваловият син роди Яата; и Яат роди Ахумая и Лаада. Тия са семействата на сарайците.

3 A nd these were of the father of Etam: Jezreel, Ishma, and Idbash, and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi.

И ето <синовете> на Итамовия баща: Езраел, Есма и Едвас; и името на сестра им бе Аселелфония,

4 A nd Penuel, the father of Gedor, and Ezer, the father of Hushah. These were the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah, the father of Bethlehem.

и Фануил Гедеровият баща и Езер Хусовият баща. Тия са потомците на Ора първородния на Ефрата, Витлеемовия баща.

5 A nd Ashur, the father of Tekoa, had two wives, Helah and Naarah.

И Асхор, Текуевият баща, имаше две жени, Хала и Наара.

6 A nd Naarah gave birth to Ahuzam, Hepher, Temeni, and Haahashtari unto him. These were the sons of Naarah.

7 A nd the sons of Helah: Zereth, Jezoar, and Ethnan.

А синовете на Хала: Серет, Есуар и Етнан.

8 A nd Coz begat Anub and Zobebah and the family of Aharhel, the son of Harum.

И Кос роди Анува, Совива и семействата на Ахарила Арумовия син.

9 A nd Jabez was more honoured than his brethren, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I gave birth to him with sorrow.

А Явис беше най-много почитан между братята си; и майка му го нарече Явис {Т.е., Скръбен.}, като думаше: Понеже го родих в скръб.

10 A nd Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou would bless me indeed and enlarge my border and that thy hand might be with me and that thou would deliver me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

И Явис призова Израилевия Бог, казвайки: Дано действително ме благословиш, и дано разшириш пределите ми, и ръката Ти да бъде с мене, и да ме пазиш от зло, та да нямам скръб! И Бог му даде това, което поиска.

11 ¶ And Chelub, the brother of Shuah, begat Mehir, who was the father of Eshton.

А Хелуви, Суевият брат, роди Махира; той бе Естоновият баща.

12 A nd Eshton begat Bethrapha, Paseah, and Tehinnah, the father of Irnahash. These are the men of Rechah.

А Естон роди Ветрафа, Фасея и Техина основател {Еврейски: Баща.} на град Наас; тия са мъжете на Риха.

13 T he sons of Kenaz: Othniel and Seraiah. The sons of Othniel: Hathath

И Кенезови синове бяха: Готониил и Сараия; а Готониилов син, Атат.

14 a nd Meonothai, who begat Ophrah. And Seraiah begat Joab, the father of the inhabitants of the valley of Charashim, for they were craftsmen.

А Меонотай роди Офра; а Сараия роди Иоава начинателя+ на долината на дърводелците, защото бяха дърводелци.

15 T he sons of Caleb, the son of Jephunneh: Iru, Elah, and Naam; and Kenaz was the son of Elah.

А синовете на Халева, Ефониевия син: Иру, Иле и Наам; а Иловият син беше Кенез.

16 T he sons of Jehaleleel: Ziph, Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.

И Ялелеилови синове: Зиф, Зифа, Тирия и Асареил.

17 A nd the sons of Ezra: Jether, Mered, Epher, and Jalon; and also begat Miriam, Shammai, and Ishbah, the father of Eshtemoa.

А Езраеви синове: Етер, Меред, Ефер и Ялон: а <жената на Мереда> роди Мариама, Самая и Есва Естемовия баща;

18 A nd his wife Jehudijah gave birth unto him Jered, the father of Gedor, and Heber, the father of Socho, and Jekuthiel, the father of Zanoah. And these are the sons of Bithiah, the daughter of Pharaoh, which Mered took.

а <другата> му жена, Юдея, роди Яреда Гедоровия баща, Хевера Соховия баща и Екутиила Заноевия баща. И тия са синовете на Вития Фараоновата дъщеря, която взе Меред;

19 A nd the sons of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham, were the father of Keilah, the Garmite, and Eshtemoa, the Maachathite.

И синовете на Одиевата жена, сестра Нахамова, бяха бащата на гармиеца Кеила и маахатеца Естемо.

20 A nd the sons of Shimon: Amnon, Rinnah, Benhanan, and Tilon. And the sons of Ishi: Zoheth and Benzoheth.

А Симонови синове бяха: Амион, Рина, Венанан и Тилон. И Есиеви синове: Зохет и Вензохет.

21 T he sons of Shelah, the son of Judah: Er, the father of Lecah, and Laadah, the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of those that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea,

Синовете на Шела, Юдовия син, бяха Ир баща на Лиха, и Лаада, баща на Мариса, и семействата от дома на тия, които работеха висон, от Асвеевия дом,

22 a nd Jokim and the men of Chozeba, and Joash and Saraph, who had the dominion in Moab, and Jashubilehem. And these are ancient words.

и Иоаким, и мъжете на Хозива, и Иоас, и Сараф, които владееха в Моав и в Ясувилехем. Това е <според> стари записки.

23 T hese were the potters and those that dwelt among plants and hedges, who dwelt there with the king for his work.

Те бяха грънчарите и жителите в Нетаим и в Гедира; там живееха с царя за да му работят.

24 ¶ The sons of Simeon: Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Saul;

Симеонови синове бяха: Намуил {В Бит. 46: 10 и Изх. 6: 15, Иемуил.} Ямин, Ярив, Зара {В Бит. 46: 10, Яхин, Сохар.} и Саул;

25 a lso Shallum, his son, Mibsam, his son, and Mishma, his son.

негов син, Селум; негов син, Мавсам; негов син, Масма.

26 T he sons of Mishma: Hamuel, his son, Zacchur, his son, Shimei his son.

А Масмови синове: син му Амуил; негов син, Закхур; негов син, Семей.

27 A nd Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters, but his brethren did not have many children, neither did all their family multiply, like the sons of Judah.

А Семей роди шестнадесет сина и шест дъщери; братята му обаче нямаха много синове, нито се умножи цялото им семейство като Юдовите потомци.

28 A nd they dwelt at Beersheba and Moladah and Hazarshual

Те се заселиха във Вирсавее, Молада и Асар-суал,

29 a nd at Bilhah and at Ezem and at Tolad

30 a nd at Bethuel and at Hormah and at Ziklag

31 a nd at Bethmarcaboth and Hazarsusim and at Bethbirei and at Shaaraim. These were their cities until the reign of David.

32 A nd their villages were Etam, Ain, Rimmon, Tochen, and Ashan, five cities;

И селищата им бяха: Итам, Аим, Римон, Тохен и Асан, пет града,

33 a nd all their villages that were round about the same cities, unto Baal. These were their habitations and their genealogy.

и всичките села, които бяха около тия градове, до Ваал {В Ис. Нав. 19: 8, Ваалат-вир.}; тия бяха местожителствата им и родословията им.

34 A nd Meshobab and Jamlech and Joshah, the son of Amaziah,

35 a nd Joel and Jehu, the son of Josibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel,

36 a nd Elioenai, Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaiah,

37 a nd Ziza, the son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah.

38 T hese mentioned by their names were princes in their families, and they were multiplied greatly in the house of their fathers.

тия споменати по имена бяха първенци на семействата им; и бащините им домове нараснаха твърде много.

39 A nd they came unto the entrance of Gedor, even unto the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks.

И <Симеоновите потомци> отидоха дори до прохода на Гедор, на изток от долината, за да търсят паша за стадата си.

40 A nd they found fat pasture and good, and the land was wide and spacious and quiet and peaceable, for the sons of Ham had dwelt there of old.

И намериха тлъста и добра паша; и земята бе широка, спокойна и мирна, защото тия, които по-напред живееха там, бяха Хамови потомци.

41 A nd these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah, king of Judah and smote their tents and the habitations that were found there and destroyed them utterly unto this day and dwelt in their place because there was pasture there for their flocks.

И тия написани по име дойдоха в дните на Юдовия цар Езекия та разрушиха шатрите им и поразиха моавците, които намериха там, и погубиха ги <така щото не остана ни един от тях> до днес, и на тяхното място сами се заселиха, защото там имаше паша за стадата им.

42 A nd likewise five hundred men of them, of the sons of Simeon, went to Mount Seir, having for their captains Pelatiah and Neariah and Rephaiah and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.

И някои от тях, <именно>, петстотин мъже от Симеоновите потомци, отидоха в хълмистата земя Сиир, като имаха за свои водители, Есиевите синове: Фелатия, Неария, Рафаия и Озиила,

43 A nd they smote the rest of the Amalekites that were escaped and dwelt there unto this day.

та поразиха останалите от амаличаните, които бяха оцелели, и се заселиха там, <гдето са и> до днес.
