1 ¶ Do not hold thy peace, O God of my praise;

(По слав. 108) За първия певец. Давидов псалом. Недей мълча, Боже, хвало моя;

2 f or the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me; they have spoken of me with a lying tongue.

Защото нечестиви уста и уста коварни се отвориха срещу мене, Говориха против мене с лъжлив език;

3 T hey compassed me about with words of hatred and fought against me without a cause.

Обиколиха ме тъй също с думи на омраза, И воюват против мене без причина.

4 T hey have responded to my love by becoming my adversaries, but I give myself unto prayer.

За <отплата на> любовта ми те ми станаха противници; Но аз <все съм> на молитва.

5 A nd they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

И въздадоха ми зло за добро, И омраза за любовта ми.

6 ¶ Set thou the wicked man over him, and let Satan stand at his right hand.

<Господи>, постави нечестив човек над него. И противник {Или: Обвинител.} нека стои отдясно му.

7 W hen he shall be judged, let him be condemned, and let his prayer become sin.

Когато се съди, нека излезе виновен. И молитвата му нека стане грях.

8 L et his days be few, and let another take his office.

Дните му нека бъдат малко; Друг нека вземе чина му.

9 L et his children be fatherless and his wife a widow.

Децата му нека бъдат сираци, И жена му вдовица,

10 L et his children be continually vagabonds and beg; let them seek their bread out of their desolate places.

Децата му нека се скитат винаги и станат просяци, И далеч от развалените си жилища нека просят <хляб>.

11 L et the extortioner catch all that he has, and let the strangers spoil his labour.

Лихоимецът нека впримчи целия му имот, И чужденци нека разграбят трудовете му.

12 L et there be no one to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.

Да няма кой да простре милост към него, Нито кой да пожали сирачетата му.

13 L et his posterity be cut off, and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

Внуците му нека бъдат отсечени, В идното поколение нека се изличи името им.

14 L et the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD, and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

Нека се помни пред Господа беззаконието на бащите му, И грехът на майка му нека се не изличи;

15 L et them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

Нека бъдат винаги пред Господа За да отсече помена им от земята,

16 B ecause he did not remember to show mercy but persecuted the man who is poor in spirit and destitute and broken in heart, that he might slay him.

Защото той си науми да показва милост, Но преследваше немотния и беден човек, И съкрушения в сърце, за да <ги> умъртви.

17 A s he loved the curse, so let it come unto him; as he delighted not in the blessing, so let it be far from him.

Да! той обичаше да проклина, и <проклетията> го стигна; Не му беше драго да благославя, и <благословението> се отдалечи от него.

18 A s he clothed himself with the curse like as with his garment, and it entered into his bowels like water and like oil into his bones.

Да: той обичаше проклетията като своя дреха; И тя влезе като вода във вътрешностите му, И като масло в костите му.

19 L et it be unto him as the garment which covers him and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

Нека му стане като дрехата, в която се увива, И като пояса, с който постоянно се опасва.

20 L et this be the reward from the LORD of those who spoke falsely against me and of those that speak evil against my soul.

Това <нека бъде> въздаянието на противниците ми от Господа, И ония, които говорят зло против душата ми.

21 ¶ And thou, O GOD the Lord, do unto me for thy name’s sake; because thy mercy is good, deliver me.

А Ти, Иеова Господи, застъпвай се за мене заради името Си; Понеже Твоята милост е блага, избави ме,

22 F or I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

Защото съм сиромах и немотен, И сърцето ми е наранено дълбоко в мене.

23 I am gone like the shadow when it declines; I am tossed up and down by the wind as the locust.

Преминал съм като уклонила се сянка <по слънчев часовник;> Изхвърлен съм като скакалец.

24 M y knees are weak through fasting, and my flesh fails for lack of fatness.

Колената ми се клатят от пост; И снагата ми губи тлъстината си.

25 I have become a reproach unto them; when they looked upon me they shook their heads.

И аз им станах за укор; Като ме гледат кимат с глава.

26 H elp me, O LORD my God; O save me according to thy mercy,

Помогни ми, Господи Боже мой, Избави ме според милостта си,

27 t hat they may know that this is thy hand, that thou, O LORD, hast done it.

За да познаят, че това е Твоята ръка, <Че> Ти си сторил това, Господи.

28 L et them curse, but bless thou; when they arise, let them be ashamed, but let thy slave rejoice.

Те нека кълнат, а Ти благославяй; Когато станат те ще се посрамят, а Твоят слуга ще се весели.

29 L et those who speak evil against me falsely be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion as with a mantle.

Нека се облекат противниците ми с позор, И нека се покрият със срама си като с дреха.

30 I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

И аз ще благодаря много на Господа с устата си, Да! между множеството ще Го хваля;

31 F or he shall stand at the right hand of the poor in spirit to save his soul from those that judge him.

Защото Той стои отдясно на немотния За да го избавя от ония, които съдят душата му.
