1 ¶ And David said, Is anyone left of the house of Saul that I may show him mercy for Jonathan’s sake?

След това Давид каза: Остава ли още някой от Сауловия дом, комуто да покажа благост заради Ионатана?

2 A nd there was a servant of the house of Saul whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy slave is he.

И имаше един слуга от Сауловия дом на име Сива. И повикаха го при Давида; и царят му каза: Ти ли си Сива? И той рече: Слугата ти е.

3 A nd the king said, Is there no one left of the house of Saul that I may show the mercy of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, There remains a son of Jonathan, who is lame on his feet.

И царят каза: Не остава ли още някой от Сауловия дом, комуто да покажа Божия благост? И Сива рече на царя: Има още един Ионатанов син, повреден в нозете.

4 A nd the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.

И царят му каза: Где е той? А Сива рече на царя: Ето, той е в къщата на Махира, Амииловия син, в Лодавар.

5 T hen King David sent and took him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.

Тогава цар Давид изпрати да го вземат от къщата на Махира Амииловия син, от Лодавар.

6 N ow when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face and worshipped. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy slave!

И когато Мемфивостей, син на Ионатана, Сауловия син, дойде при Давида, падна на лице та се поклони. И рече Давид: Мемфивостее! А той отговори: Ето слугата ти.

7 A nd David said unto him, Fear not; for I will surely show thee mercy for Jonathan, thy father’s sake, and will restore unto thee all the land of Saul, thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

И Давид му каза: Не бой се; защото непременно ще покажа благост към тебе заради баща ти Ионатана, и ще ти възвърна всичките земи на баща ти Саула; и ти всякога ще ядеш хляб на моята трапеза.

8 A nd he bowed himself and said, Who is thy slave, that thou should look upon such a dead dog as I am?

А той му се поклони и рече: Кой е слугата ти та да пригледаш такова умряло куче като мене?

9 ¶ Then the king called to Ziba, Saul’s servant, and said unto him, I have given unto thy master’s son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.

Тогава царят повика Сауловия слуга Сива та му каза: Всичко, що принадлежеше на Саула и на целия му дом, дадох на сина на господаря ти.

10 T hou, therefore, and thy sons and thy slaves shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits that thy master’s son may have bread to eat, but Mephibosheth, thy master’s son, shall eat bread always at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty slaves.

Ти, прочее, ще му обработваш земята, ти и синовете ти и слугите ти, и ще донасяш <доходите>, за да има синът на господаря ти хляб да яде; но Мемфивостей, синът на господаря ти, всякога ще се храни на моята трапеза. (А Сива имаше петнадесет сина и двадесет слуги).

11 T hen Ziba said unto the king, According to all that my lord the king has commanded his slave, so shall thy slave do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table as one of the king’s sons.

И Сива рече на царя: Според всичко, що заповяда господарят ми царят на слугата си, така ще направи слугата ти. А Мемфивостей, <рече царят>, ще яде на моята трапеза, като един от царевите синове.

12 A nd Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.

И Мемфивостей имаше малък син на име Миха. А всички, които живееха в къщата на Сива, бяха слуги на Мемфивостея.

13 S o Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem, for he ate continually at the king’s table and was lame on both his feet.

Така Мемфивостей живееше в Ерусалим; защото винаги ядеше на царевата трапеза. И той куцаше и с двата крака.
