To the Overseer, for Jeduthun. -- A Psalm of Asaph. My voice to God, and I cry, my voice to God, And He hath given ear unto me.

2 A l Señor busqué en el día de mi angustia: Mi mal corría de noche y no cesaba: Mi alma rehusaba consuelo.

In a day of my distress the Lord I sought, My hand by night hath been spread out, And it doth not cease, My soul hath refused to be comforted.

3 A cordábame de Dios, y gritaba: Quejábame, y desmayaba mi espíritu. (Selah.)

I remember God, and make a noise, I meditate, and feeble is my spirit. Selah.

4 T enías los párpados de mis ojos: Estaba yo quebrantado, y no hablaba.

Thou hast taken hold of the watches of mine eyes, I have been moved, and I speak not.

5 C onsideraba los días desde el principio, Los años de los siglos.

I have reckoned the days of old, The years of the ages.

6 A cordábame de mis canciones de noche; Meditaba con mi corazón, Y mi espíritu inquiría.

I remember my music in the night, With my heart I meditate, and my spirit doth search diligently:

7 ¿ Desechará el Señor para siempre, Y no volverá más á amar?

To the ages doth the Lord cast off? Doth He add to be pleased no more?

8 ¿ Hase acabado para siempre su misericordia? ¿Hase acabado la palabra suya para generación y generación?

Hath His kindness ceased for ever? The saying failed to all generations?

9 ¿ Ha olvidado Dios el tener misericordia? ¿Ha encerrado con ira sus piedades? (Selah.)

Hath God forgotten favours? Hath He shut up in anger His mercies? Selah.

10 Y dije: Enfermedad mía es esta; Traeré pues á la memoria los años de la diestra del Altísimo.

And I say: `My weakness is, The changes of the right hand of the Most High.'

11 A cordaréme de las obras de JAH: Sí, haré yo memoria de tus maravillas antiguas.

I mention the doings of Jah, For I remember of old Thy wonders,

12 Y meditaré en todas tus obras, Y hablaré de tus hechos.

And I have meditated on all Thy working, And I talk concerning Thy doings.

13 O h Dios, en santidad es tu camino: ¿Qué Dios grande como el Dios nuestro?

O God, in holiness Thy way, Who a great god like God?

14 T ú eres el Dios que hace maravillas: Tú hiciste notoria en los pueblos tu fortaleza.

Thou the God doing wonders. Thou hast made known among the peoples Thy strength,

15 C on tu brazo redimiste á tu pueblo, A los hijos de Jacob y de José. (Selah.)

Thou hast redeemed with strength Thy people, The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.

16 V iéronte las aguas, oh Dios; Viéronte las aguas, temieron; Y temblaron los abismos.

The waters have seen Thee, O God, The waters have seen Thee, They are afraid -- also depths are troubled.

17 L as nubes echaron inundaciones de aguas; Tronaron los cielos, Y discurrieron tus rayos.

Poured out waters have thick clouds, The skies have given forth a noise, Also -- Thine arrows go up and down.

18 A nduvo en derredor el sonido de tus truenos; Los relámpagos alumbraron el mundo; Estremecióse y tembló la tierra.

The voice of Thy thunder in the spheres, Lightnings have lightened the world, The earth hath trembled, yea, it shaketh.

19 E n la mar fué tu camino, Y tus sendas en las muchas aguas; Y tus pisadas no fueron conocidas.

In the sea Thy way, And Thy paths in many waters, And Thy tracks have not been known.

20 C ondujiste á tu pueblo como ovejas, Por mano de Moisés y de Aarón.

Thou hast led as a flock Thy people, By the hand of Moses and Aaron!
