1 Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying, `Son of man,

2 H ijo del hombre, hubo dos mujeres, hijas de una madre,

Two women were daughters of one mother,

3 L as cuales fornicaron en Egipto; en sus mocedades fornicaron. Allí fueron apretados sus pechos, y allí fueron estrujados los pechos de su virginidad.

And they go a-whoring in Egypt, In their youth they have gone a-whoring, There they have bruised their breasts, And there they have dealt with the loves of their virginity.

4 Y llamábanse, la mayor, Aholah, y su hermana, Aholibah; las cuales fueron mías, y parieron hijos é hijas. Y llamáronse, Samaria, Aholah; y Jerusalem, Aholibah.

And their names Aholah the elder, And Aholibah her sister, And they are Mine, and bear sons and daughters. As to their names -- Samaria Aholah, And Jerusalem Aholibah.

5 Y Aholah cometió fornicación en mi poder: y prendóse de sus amantes, los Asirios sus vecinos,

And go a-whoring doth Aholah under Me, And she doteth on her lovers, On the neighbouring Assyrians,

6 V estidos de cárdeno, capitanes y príncipes, mancebos todos de codiciar, caballeros que andaban á caballo.

Clothed with blue -- governors and prefects, Desirable young men all of them, Horsemen, riding on horses,

7 Y puso sus fornicaciones con ellos, con todos los más escogidos de los hijos de los Asirios, y con todos aquellos de quienes se enamoró: contaminóse con todos los ídolos de ellos.

And she giveth her whoredoms on them, The choice of the sons of Asshur, All of them -- even all on whom she doted, By all their idols she hath been defiled.

8 Y no dejó sus fornicaciones de Egipto: porque con ella se echaron en su mocedad, y ellos comprimieron los pechos de su virginidad, y derramaron sobre ella su fornicación.

And her whoredoms out of Egypt she hath not forsaken, For with her they lay in her youth, And they dealt with the loves of her virginity, And they pour out their whoredoms on her.

9 P or lo cual la entregué en mano de sus amantes, en mano de los hijos de los Asirios, de quienes se había enamorado.

Therefore I have given her into the hand of her lovers, Into the hand of sons of Asshur on whom she doted.

10 E llos descubrieron sus vergüenzas, tomaron sus hijos y sus hijas, y á ella mataron á cuchillo: y vino á ser de nombre entre las mujeres, pues en ella hicieron juicios.

They have uncovered her nakedness, Her sons and her daughters they have taken, And her by sword they have slain, And she is a name for women, And judgments they have done with her.

11 Y viólo su hermana Aholibah, y estragó su amor más que ella; y sus fornicaciones, más que las fornicaciones de su hermana.

And see doth her sister Aholibah, And she maketh her doting love more corrupt than she, And her whoredoms than the whoredoms of her sister.

12 E namoróse de los hijos de los Asirios, sus vecinos, capitanes y príncipes, vestidos en perfección, caballeros que andaban á caballo, todos ellos mancebos de codiciar.

On sons of Asshur she hath doted, Governors and prefects, Neighbouring ones -- clothed in perfection, Horsemen, riding on horses, Desirable young men all of them.

13 Y vi que se había contaminado: un camino era el de ambas.

And I see that she hath been defiled, One way to them both.

14 Y aumentó sus fornicaciones: pues cuando vió hombres pintados en la pared, imágenes de Caldeos pintadas de color,

And she doth add unto her whoredoms, And she seeth graved men on the wall, Pictures of Chaldeans, graved with red lead,

15 C eñidos de talabartes por sus lomos, y tiaras pintadas en sus cabezas, teniendo todos ellos parecer de capitanes, á la manera de los hombres de Babilonia, nacidos en tierra de Caldeos,

Girded with a girdle on their loins, Dyed attire spread out on their heads, The appearance of rulers -- all of them, The likeness of sons of Babylon, Chaldea is the land of their birth.

16 E namoróse de ellos en viéndolos, y envióles mensajeros á la tierra de los Caldeos.

And she doteth on them at the sight of her eyes, And sendeth messengers to them, to Chaldea.

17 Y entraron á ella los hombres de Babilonia á la cama de los amores, y contamináronla con su fornicación; y ella también se contaminó con ellos, y su deseo se hartó de ellos.

And come in unto her do sons of Babylon, To the bed of loves, And they defile her with their whoredoms, And she is defiled with them, And her soul is alienated from them.

18 A sí hizo patentes sus fornicaciones, y descubrió sus vergüenzas: por lo cual mi alma se hartó de ella, como se había ya hartado mi alma de su hermana.

And she revealeth her whoredoms, And she revealeth her nakedness, And alienated is My soul from off her, As alienated was My soul from off her sister.

19 A un multiplicó sus fornicaciones trayendo en memoria los días de su mocedad, en los cuales había fornicado en la tierra de Egipto.

And she multiplieth her whoredoms, To remember the days of her youth, When she went a-whoring in the land of Egypt.

20 Y enamoróse de sus rufianes, cuya carne es como carne de asnos, y cuyo flujo como flujo de caballos.

And she doteth on their paramours, Whose flesh the flesh of asses, And the issue of horses -- their issue.

21 A sí tornaste á la memoria la suciedad de tu mocedad, cuando comprimieron tus pechos en Egipto por los pechos de tu mocedad.

Thou lookest after the wickedness of thy youth, In dealing out of Egypt thy loves, For the sake of the breasts of thy youth.

22 P or tanto, Aholibah, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí que yo despierto tus amantes contra ti, de los cuales se hartó tu deseo, y yo les haré venir contra ti en derredor;

Therefore, O Aholibah, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am stirring up thy lovers against thee, From whom thy soul hath been alienated, And have brought them in against thee from round about.

23 L os de Babilonia, y todos los Caldeos, mayordomos, y príncipes, y capitanes, todos los de Asiria con ellos: mancebos todos ellos de codiciar, capitanes y príncipes, nobles y principales, que montan á caballo todos ellos.

Sons of Babylon, and of all Chaldea, Pekod, and Shoa, and Koa, All the sons of Asshur with them, Desirable young men, governors and prefects, All of them -- rulers and proclaimed ones, Riding on horses, all of them.

24 Y vendrán sobre ti carros, carretas, y ruedas, y multitud de pueblos. Escudos, y paveses, y capacetes pondrán contra ti en derredor; y yo daré el juicio delante de ellos, y por sus leyes te juzgarán.

And they have come in against thee, With arms, rider, and wheel, And with an assembly of peoples; Target, and shield, and helmet, They do set against thee round about, And I have set before them judgment, They have judged thee in their Judgments.

25 Y pondré mi celo contra ti, y obrarán contigo con furor; quitarte han tu nariz y tus orejas; y lo que te quedare caerá á cuchillo. Ellos tomarán tus hijos y tus hijas, y tu residuo será consumido por el fuego.

And I have set My jealousy against thee, And they have dealt with thee in fury, Thy nose and thine ears they turn aside, And thy posterity by sword falleth, They, thy sons and thy daughters do take away, And thy posterity is devoured by fire.

26 Y te desnudarán de tus vestidos, y tomarán los vasos de tu gloria.

And they have stripped thee of thy garments, And have taken thy beauteous jewels.

27 Y haré cesar de ti tu suciedad, y tu fornicación de la tierra de Egipto: ni más levantarás á ellos tus ojos, ni nunca más te acordarás de Egipto.

And I have caused thy wickedness to cease from thee, And thy whoredoms out of the land of Egypt, And thou liftest not up thine eyes unto them, And Egypt thou dost not remember again.

28 P orque así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí, yo te entrego en mano de aquellos que tú aborreciste, en mano de aquellos de los cuales se hartó tu deseo:

For thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am giving thee into a hand that thou hast hated, Into a hand from which thou wast alienated.

29 L os cuales obrarán contigo con odio, y tomarán todo lo que tú trabajaste, y te dejarán desnuda y descubierta: y descubriráse la torpeza de tus fornicaciones, y tu suciedad, y tus fornicaciones.

And they have dealt with thee in hatred, And they have taken all thy labour, And they have left thee naked and bare, And revealed hath been the nakedness of thy whoredoms, And the wickedness of thy whoredoms.

30 E stas cosas se harán contigo, porque fornicaste en pos de las gentes, con las cuales te contaminaste en sus ídolos.

To do these things to thee, In thy going a-whoring after nations, Because thou hast been defiled with their idols,

31 E n el camino de tu hermana anduviste: yo pues pondré su cáliz en tu mano.

In the way of thy sister thou hast walked, And I have given her cup into thy hand.

32 A sí ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Beberás el hondo y ancho cáliz de tu hermana; de ti se mofarán las gentes, y te escarnecerán: de grande cabida es.

Thus said the Lord Jehovah: The cup of thy sister thou dost drink, The deep and the wide one, (Thou art for laughter and for scorn,) Abundant to contain.

33 S erás llena de embriaguez y de dolor por el cáliz de soledad y de asolamiento, por el cáliz de tu hermana Samaria.

With drunkenness and sorrow thou art filled, A cup of astonishment and desolation, The cup of thy sister Samaria.

34 L o beberás pues, y lo agotarás, y quebrarás sus tiestos; y tus pechos arrancarás; porque yo he hablado, dice el Señor Jehová.

And thou hast drunk it, and hast drained, And its earthen ware thou dost gnaw, And thine own breasts thou pluckest off, For I have spoken, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah,

35 P or tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto te has olvidado de mí, y me has echado tras tus espaldas, por eso, lleva tú también tu suciedad y tus fornicaciones.

Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast forgotten Me, And thou dost cast Me behind thy back, Even thou also bear thy wickedness and thy whoredoms.'

36 Y díjome Jehová: Hijo del hombre, ¿no juzgarás tú á Aholah, y á Aholibah, y les denunciarás sus abominaciones?

And Jehovah saith unto me, `Son of man, Dost thou judge Aholah and Aholibah? Declare then to them their abominations.

37 P orque han adulterado, y hay sangre en sus manos, y han fornicado con sus ídolos; y aun sus hijos que me habían engendrado, hicieron pasar por el fuego, quemándolos.

For they have committed adultery, And blood in their hands, With their idols they committed adultery, And also their sons whom they bore to Me, They caused to pass over to them for food.

38 A un esto más me hicieron: contaminaron mi santuario en aquel día, y profanaron mis sábados;

Again, this they have done to Me, They defiled My sanctuary in that day, And My sabbaths they have polluted.

39 P ues habiendo sacrificado sus hijos á sus ídolos, entrábanse en mi santuario el mismo día para contaminarlo: y he aquí, así hicieron en medio de mi casa.

And in their slaughtering their sons to their idols They also come in unto My sanctuary in that day to pollute it, And lo, thus they have done in the midst of My house,

40 Y cuanto más, que enviaron por hombres que vienen de lejos, á los cuales había sido enviado mensajero: y he aquí vinieron; y por amor de ellos te lavaste, y alcoholaste tus ojos, y te ataviaste con adornos:

And also that they send to men coming from afar, Unto whom a messenger is sent, And lo, they have come in for whom thou hast washed, Painted thine eyes, and put on adornment.

41 Y te sentaste sobre suntuoso estrado, y fué adornada mesa delante de él, y sobre ella pusiste mi perfume y mi óleo.

And thou hast sat on a couch of honour, And a table arrayed before it, And My perfume and My oil placed on it.

42 Y oyóse en ella voz de compañía en holganza: y con los varones fueron traídos de la gente común los Sabeos del desierto; y pusieron manillas sobre sus manos, y coronas de gloria sobre sus cabezas.

And the voice of a multitude at ease with her, And unto men of the common people are brought in Sabeans from the wilderness, And they put bracelets on their hands, And a beauteous crown on their heads.

43 Y dije á la envejecida en adulterios: Sus prostituciones cumplirán ellos ahora, y ella con ellos:

And I say of the worn-out one in adulteries, Now they commit her whoredoms -- she also!

44 P orque han venido á ella como quien viene á mujer ramera: así vinieron á Aholah y á Aholibah, mujeres depravadas.

And they come in unto her, As the coming in unto a whorish woman, So they have come in unto Aholah, And unto Aholibah -- the wicked women.

45 P or tanto, hombres justos las juzgarán por la ley de las adúlteras, y por la ley de las que derraman sangre: porque son adúlteras, y sangre hay en sus manos.

As to righteous men, they judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, And the judgment of women shedding blood, For they adulteresses, And blood in their hands.

46 P or lo que así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Yo haré subir contra ellas compañías, las entregaré á turbación y á rapiña:

For thus said the Lord Jehovah: Bring up against them an assembly, And give them to trembling and to spoiling.

47 Y la compañía de gentes las apedreará con piedras, y las acuchillará con sus espadas: matarán á sus hijos y á sus hijas, y sus casas consumirán con fuego.

And they have cast at them the stone of the assembly, And cut them with their swords, Their sons and their daughters they do slay, And their houses with fire they burn.

48 Y haré cesar la depravación de la tierra, y escarmentarán todas las mujeres, y no harán según vuestra torpeza.

And I have caused wickedness to cease from the land, And instructed have been all the women, And they do not according to your wickedness.

49 Y sobre vosotras pondrán vuestra obscenidad, y llevaréis los pecados de vuestros ídolos; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor Jehová.

And they have put your wickedness on you, And the sins of your idols ye bear, And ye have known that I the Lord Jehovah!
