2 O ur feet are standing within your gates, O Jerusalem!—

Picioarele mi se opresc în porţile tale, Ierusalime!

3 J erusalem, which is built as a city that is compacted together—

Ierusalime, tu eşti zidit ca o cetate făcută dintr'o bucată!

4 T o which the tribes go up, even the tribes of the Lord, as was decreed and as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the Lord.

Acolo se suie seminţiile, seminţiile Domnului, după legea lui Israel, ca să laude Numele Domnului.

5 F or there the thrones of judgment were set, the thrones of the house of David.

Căci acolo sînt scaunele de domnie pentru judecată, scaunele de domnie ale casei lui David.

6 P ray for the peace of Jerusalem! May they prosper who love you!

Rugaţi-vă pentru pacea Ierusalimului! Cei ce te iubesc, să se bucure de odihnă.

7 M ay peace be within your walls and prosperity within your palaces!

Pacea să fie între zidurile tale, şi liniştea în casele tale domneşti!

8 F or my brethren and companions’ sake, I will now say, Peace be within you!

Din pricina fraţilor şi prietenilor mei, doresc pacea în sînul tău.

9 F or the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek, inquire for, and require your good.

Din pricina Casei Domnului, Dumnezeului nostru. fac urări pentru fericirea ta.
