1 P oi mi condusse nel tempio e misurò i pilastri; misuravano sei cubiti di larghezza da un lato e sei cubiti di larghezza dall’altro, larghezza della tenda.

And he brought me to the temple, and measured the posts, six cubits broad on the one side, and six cubits broad on the other side, which was the breadth of the tabernacle.

2 L a larghezza dell’ingresso era di dieci cubiti; le pareti laterali dell’ingresso misuravano cinque cubiti da un lato e cinque cubiti dall’altro. Egli misurò la lunghezza del tempio: quaranta cubiti, e venti cubiti di larghezza.

And the breadth of the entrance was ten cubits; and the sides of the entrance were five cubits on the one side, and five cubits on the other side: and he measured the length thereof, forty cubits, and the breadth, twenty cubits.

3 P oi entrò dentro e misurò i pilastri dell’ingresso: due cubiti; l’ingresso misurava sei cubiti, la larghezza dell’ingresso sette cubiti.

Then went he inward, and measured each post of the entrance, two cubits; and the entrance, six cubits; and the breadth of the entrance, seven cubits.

4 M isurò una lunghezza di venti cubiti e una larghezza di venti cubiti in fondo al tempio, e mi disse: «Questo è il luogo santissimo».

And he measured the length thereof, twenty cubits, and the breadth, twenty cubits, before the temple: and he said unto me, This is the most holy place.

5 P oi misurò il muro della casa: sei cubiti; e la larghezza delle camere laterali tutto intorno alla casa: quattro cubiti.

Then he measured the wall of the house, six cubits; and the breadth of every side-chamber, four cubits, round about the house on every side.

6 L e camere laterali erano una accanto all’altra, in numero di trenta, e c’erano tre piani; stavano in un muro, costruito per queste camere tutto intorno alla casa, perché fossero appoggiate senza appoggiarsi al muro della casa.

And the side-chambers were in three stories, one over another, and thirty in order; and they entered into the wall which belonged to the house for the side-chambers round about, that they might have hold therein, and not have hold in the wall of the house.

7 L e camere occupavano maggiore spazio a mano a mano che si saliva di piano in piano, poiché la casa aveva una scala circolare a ogni piano tutto intorno alla casa; perciò questa parte della casa si allargava a ogni piano, e si saliva dal piano inferiore al piano superiore passando per quello di mezzo.

And the side-chambers were broader as they encompassed the house higher and higher; for the encompassing of the house went higher and higher round about the house: therefore the breadth of the house continued upward; and so one went up from the lowest chamber to the highest by the middle chamber.

8 I o vidi pure che la casa tutto intorno stava sopra un piano elevato; così le camere laterali avevano un fondamento alto una buona canna, sei cubiti fino all’angolo.

I saw also that the house had a raised basement round about: the foundations of the side-chambers were a full reed of six great cubits.

9 L a larghezza del muro esterno delle camere laterali era di cinque cubiti;

The thickness of the wall, which was for the side-chambers, on the outside, was five cubits: and that which was left was the place of the side-chambers that belonged to the house.

10 l o spazio libero intorno alle camere laterali della casa, fino alle stanze attorno alla casa, aveva una larghezza di venti cubiti tutto intorno.

And between the chambers was a breadth of twenty cubits round about the house on every side.

11 L e porte delle camere laterali davano sullo spazio libero: una porta a settentrione, una porta a mezzogiorno; e la larghezza dello spazio libero era di cinque cubiti tutto intorno.

And the doors of the side-chambers were toward the place that was left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south: and the breadth of the place that was left was five cubits round about.

12 L ’edificio situato davanti allo spazio vuoto dal lato d’occidente misurava settanta cubiti di larghezza; il muro dell’edificio misurava cinque cubiti di spessore tutto intorno ed era lungo novanta cubiti.

And the building that was before the separate place at the side toward the west was seventy cubits broad; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick round about, and the length thereof ninety cubits.

13 P oi misurò la casa: era di cento cubiti di lunghezza. Lo spazio vuoto, l’edificio e i suoi muri avevano una lunghezza di cento cubiti.

So he measured the house, a hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with the walls thereof, a hundred cubits long;

14 L a larghezza della facciata della casa e dello spazio vuoto dal lato d’oriente era di cento cubiti.

also the breadth of the face of the house, and of the separate place toward the east, a hundred cubits.

15 E gli misurò la lunghezza dell’edificio davanti allo spazio vuoto, sul di dietro, e le sue gallerie da ogni lato: cento cubiti. L’interno del tempio, i vestiboli che davano sul cortile,

And he measured the length of the building before the separate place which was at the back thereof, and the galleries thereof on the one side and on the other side, a hundred cubits; and the inner temple, and the porches of the court;

16 g li stipiti, le finestre a grate, le gallerie tutto attorno ai tre piani erano ricoperti, all’altezza degli stipiti, di legno tutto intorno. Dal pavimento sino alle finestre (le finestre erano sbarrate),

the thresholds, and the closed windows, and the galleries round about on their three stories, over against the threshold, ceiled with wood round about, and from the ground up to the windows, (now the windows were covered),

17 f ino al di sopra della porta, l’interno della casa, l’esterno e tutte le pareti tutto intorno, all’interno e all’esterno, tutto era fatto secondo precise misure.

to the space above the door, even unto the inner house, and without, and by all the wall round about within and without, by measure.

18 C ’erano degli ornamenti di cherubini e di palme, una palma tra cherubino e cherubino,

And it was made with cherubim and palm-trees; and a palm-tree was between cherub and cherub, and every cherub had two faces;

19 e ogni cherubino aveva due facce: una faccia d’uomo, rivolta verso la palma da un lato, e una faccia di leone, rivolta verso l’altra palma, dall’altro lato. Gli ornamenti erano in tutta la casa, tutto intorno.

so that there was the face of a man toward the palm-tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm-tree on the other side. thus was it made through all the house round about:

20 D al pavimento fino al di sopra della porta c’erano dei cherubini e delle palme; così pure sul muro del tempio.

from the ground unto above the door were cherubim and palm-trees made: thus was the wall of the temple.

21 G li stipiti del tempio erano quadrati e la facciata del santuario aveva lo stesso aspetto.

As for the temple, the door-posts were squared; and as for the face of the sanctuary, the appearance thereof was as the appearance of the temple.

22 L ’altare era di legno, alto tre cubiti, lungo due cubiti; aveva degli angoli; le sue pareti, per tutta la lunghezza, erano di legno. L’uomo mi disse: «Questa è la tavola che sta davanti al Signore ».

The altar was of wood, three cubits high, and the length thereof two cubits; and the corners thereof, and the length thereof, and the walls thereof, were of wood: and he said unto me, This is the table that is before Jehovah.

23 I l tempio e il santuario avevano due porte;

And the temple and the sanctuary had two doors.

24 o gni porta aveva due battenti, due battenti che si piegavano in due pezzi, due pezzi per ogni battente.

And the doors had two leaves apiece, two turning leaves: two leaves for the one door, and two leaves for the other.

25 S u di esse, sulle porte del tempio, erano scolpiti dei cherubini e delle palme, come quelli sulle pareti. Sulla facciata del vestibolo, all’esterno, c’era una tettoia di legno.

And there were made on them, on the doors of the temple, cherubim and palm-trees, like as were made upon the walls; and there was a threshold of wood upon the face of the porch without.

26 C ’erano delle finestre a grate e delle palme da ogni lato, alle pareti laterali del vestibolo, alle camere laterali della casa e alle tettoie.

And there were closed windows and palm-trees on the one side and on the other side, on the sides of the porch: thus were the side-chambers of the house, and the thresholds.
