1 A gain David gathered all the choice men of Israel, thirty thousand.

David volvió a reunir a todos los escogidos de Israel, treinta mil.

2 A nd David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale Judah to bring up from there the ark of God, whose name is called by the Name, the Lord of Hosts, who dwells between the cherubim.

Y se levantó David y partió de Baala de Judá con todo el pueblo que tenía consigo, para hacer pasar de allí el arca de Dios, sobre la cual era invocado el nombre de Jehová de los ejércitos, que mora entre los querubines.

3 S o they set the ark of God on a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.

Pusieron el arca de Dios sobre un carro nuevo, y la llevaron de la casa de Abinadab, que estaba en el collado; y Uza y Ahío, hijos de Abinadab, guiaban el carro nuevo.

4 A nd they brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill, accompanying the ark of God; and Ahio went before the ark.

Y cuando lo llevaban de la casa de Abinadab, que estaba en el collado, con el arca de Dios, Ahío iba delante del arca.

5 T hen David and all the house of Israel played music before the Lord on all kinds of instruments of fir wood, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on sistrums, and on cymbals.

Y David y toda la casa de Israel danzaban delante de Jehová con toda clase de instrumentos de madera de haya; con arpas, salterios, panderos, flautas y címbalos.

6 A nd when they came to Nachon’s threshing floor, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled.

Cuando llegaron a la era de Nacón, Uza extendió su mano al arca de Dios, y la sostuvo; porque los bueyes tropezaban.

7 T hen the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by the ark of God.

Y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Uza, y lo hirió allí Dios por aquella temeridad, y cayó allí muerto junto al arca de Dios.

8 A nd David became angry because of the Lord ’s outbreak against Uzzah; and he called the name of the place Perez Uzzah to this day.

Y se entristeció David por haber herido Jehová a Uza, y fue llamado aquel lugar Pérez-uza, hasta hoy.

9 D avid was afraid of the Lord that day; and he said, “How can the ark of the Lord come to me?”

Y temiendo David a Jehová aquel día, dijo: ¿Cómo ha de venir a mí el arca de Jehová?

10 S o David would not move the ark of the Lord with him into the City of David; but David took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.

De modo que David no quiso traer para sí el arca de Jehová a la ciudad de David; y la hizo llevar David a casa de Obed-edom geteo.

11 T he ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months. And the Lord blessed Obed-Edom and all his household.

Y estuvo el arca de Jehová en casa de Obed-edom geteo tres meses; y bendijo Jehová a Obed-edom y a toda su casa. David trae el arca a Jerusalén (1 Cr. 15. 1--16. 6)

12 N ow it was told King David, saying, “The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness.

Fue dado aviso al rey David, diciendo: Jehová ha bendecido la casa de Obed-edom y todo lo que tiene, a causa del arca de Dios. Entonces David fue, y llevó con alegría el arca de Dios de casa de Obed-edom a la ciudad de David.

13 A nd so it was, when those bearing the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, that he sacrificed oxen and fatted sheep.

Y cuando los que llevaban el arca de Dios habían andado seis pasos, él sacrificó un buey y un carnero engordado.

14 T hen David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod.

Y David danzaba con toda su fuerza delante de Jehová; y estaba David vestido con un efod de lino.

15 S o David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.

Así David y toda la casa de Israel conducían el arca de Jehová con júbilo y sonido de trompeta.

16 N ow as the ark of the Lord came into the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and whirling before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart.

Cuando el arca de Jehová llegó a la ciudad de David, aconteció que Mical hija de Saúl miró desde una ventana, y vio al rey David que saltaba y danzaba delante de Jehová; y le menospreció en su corazón.

17 S o they brought the ark of the Lord, and set it in its place in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord.

Metieron, pues, el arca de Jehová, y la pusieron en su lugar en medio de una tienda que David le había levantado; y sacrificó David holocaustos y ofrendas de paz delante de Jehová.

18 A nd when David had finished offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord of hosts.

Y cuando David había acabado de ofrecer los holocaustos y ofrendas de paz, bendijo al pueblo en el nombre de Jehová de los ejércitos.

19 T hen he distributed among all the people, among the whole multitude of Israel, both the women and the men, to everyone a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a cake of raisins. So all the people departed, everyone to his house.

Y repartió a todo el pueblo, y a toda la multitud de Israel, así a hombres como a mujeres, a cada uno un pan, y un pedazo de carne y una torta de pasas. Y se fue todo el pueblo, cada uno a su casa.

20 T hen David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, “How glorious was the king of Israel today, uncovering himself today in the eyes of the maids of his servants, as one of the base fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!”

Volvió luego David para bendecir su casa; y saliendo Mical a recibir a David, dijo:!! Cuán honrado ha quedado hoy el rey de Israel, descubriéndose hoy delante de las criadas de sus siervos, como se descubre sin decoro un cualquiera!

21 S o David said to Michal, “ It was before the Lord, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the Lord.

Entonces David respondió a Mical: Fue delante de Jehová, quien me eligió en preferencia a tu padre y a toda tu casa, para constituirme por príncipe sobre el pueblo de Jehová, sobre Israel. Por tanto, danzaré delante de Jehová.

22 A nd I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor.”

Y aun me haré más vil que esta vez, y seré bajo a tus ojos; pero seré honrado delante de las criadas de quienes has hablado.

23 T herefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.

Y Mical hija de Saúl nunca tuvo hijos hasta el día de su muerte.
