1 T hen answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

2 D ominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.

4 H ow then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

Come può dunque l'uomo essere giusto davanti a Dio, o come può essere puro un nato di donna?

5 B ehold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

Se neppure la luna è splendente, e le stelle non sono pure ai suoi occhi,

6 H ow much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

quanto meno l'uomo, che è un bruco, il figlio d'uomo che è un verme!».
