Perciò noi non temeremo, anche se la terra si dovesse spostare e se i monti fossero gettati nel mezzo del mare,

4 T here is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

C'è un fiume i cui rivi rallegrano la città di DIO, il luogo santo dove dimora l'Altissimo.

5 G od is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

DIO è nel mezzo di lei, essa non sarà smossa, DIO la soccorrerà alle prime luci del mattino.

6 T he heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

Le nazioni tumultuarono i regni vacillarono; egli mandò fuori la sua voce, la terra si sciolse.

8 C ome, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

Venite e ammirate le opere dell'Eterno, che ha operato meraviglie sulla terra.

9 H e maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

Egli fa cessare le guerre fino all'estremità della terra; egli rompe gli archi e spezza le lance, e brucia i carri col fuoco.

10 B e still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Fermatevi e riconoscete che io sono DIO; io sarò esaltato fra le nazioni, sarò esaltato sulla terra.
