6 L os jefes de familia y los jefes de las tribus israelitas, y los jefes de millares y de centenas, lo mismo que los administradores de las propiedades del rey, presentaron sus ofrendas voluntarias.

Then the leaders of the fathers’ houses, leaders of the tribes of Israel, the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the officers over the king’s work, offered willingly.

7 P ara el servicio de la casa de Dios dieron ciento sesenta y cinco mil kilos y diez mil monedas de oro, trescientos treinta mil kilos de plata, seiscientos mil kilos de bronce, y tres millones trescientos mil kilos de hierro.

They gave for the work of the house of God five thousand talents and ten thousand darics of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, eighteen thousand talents of bronze, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.

Therefore David blessed the Lord before all the assembly; and David said: “Blessed are You, Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever.

11 T uya es, Señor, la magnificencia y el poder, la gloria, la victoria y el honor; pues tuyas son todas las cosas que están en los cielos y en la tierra. Tuyo es, Señor, el reino. ¡Tú eres excelso sobre todas las cosas!

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all.

12 D e ti proceden las riquezas y la gloria. Tú dominas sobre todo. En tu mano están la fuerza y el poder, y en tu mano también está el engrandecer y el dar poder a todos.

Both riches and honor come from You, And You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great And to give strength to all.

13 P or eso ahora, Dios nuestro, alabamos y loamos tu glorioso nombre.

“Now therefore, our God, We thank You And praise Your glorious name.

14 » A decir verdad, ¿quién soy yo, y quién es mi pueblo, para poder ofrecerte todo esto, y de manera voluntaria? Todo es tuyo, y lo que ahora te damos lo hemos recibido de tus manos.

But who am I, and who are my people, That we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from You, And of Your own we have given You.

15 N osotros, ante ti, somos unos extranjeros y advenedizos, como lo fueron todos nuestros padres, ¡Nuestros días sobre la tierra son como una sombra pasajera!

For we are aliens and pilgrims before You, As were all our fathers; Our days on earth are as a shadow, And without hope.

16 S eñor y Dios nuestro, toda esta abundancia que hemos preparado para edificar casa a tu santo nombre, procede de tu mano, y es todo tuyo.

“O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have prepared to build You a house for Your holy name is from Your hand, and is all Your own.

17 D ios mío, yo sé que tú escudriñas los corazones, y que la rectitud te agrada. Por eso yo, con rectitud de mi corazón, te he ofrecido todo esto de manera voluntaria, y con alegría he visto que tu pueblo, reunido aquí y ahora, te ha ofrendado con espontaneidad.

I know also, my God, that You test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things; and now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here to offer willingly to You.

18 » Señor, Dios de nuestros padres Abrahán, Isaac e Israel, conserva siempre esta voluntad de corazón de tu pueblo, y encamina a ti su corazón.

O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever in the intent of the thoughts of the heart of Your people, and fix their heart toward You.

19 D ale a mi hijo Salomón un corazón perfecto, para que cumpla tus mandamientos, tus testimonios y tus estatutos, y para que te edifique la casa y todas las cosas, para las cuales yo he hecho estos preparativos.»

And give my son Solomon a loyal heart to keep Your commandments and Your testimonies and Your statutes, to do all these things, and to build the temple for which I have made provision.”

20 D espués de esto, David dijo a toda la congregación: «Bendigan al Señor su Dios.» Entonces toda la congregación bendijo al Señor, Dios de sus padres, y se inclinaron y adoraron delante del Señor y del rey.

Then David said to all the assembly, “Now bless the Lord your God.” So all the assembly blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and bowed their heads and prostrated themselves before the Lord and the king. Solomon Anointed King

21 S acrificaron víctimas al Señor, y al día siguiente le ofrecieron holocaustos: mil becerros, mil carneros, mil corderos con sus libaciones, y muchos sacrificios de parte de todo Israel.

And they made sacrifices to the Lord and offered burnt offerings to the Lord on the next day: a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.

22 Y ese día comieron y bebieron delante del Señor con gran alegría, y por segunda vez reconocieron como rey a Salomón hijo de David, y ante el Señor lo ungieron como príncipe, y a Sadoc lo ungieron como sacerdote.

So they ate and drank before the Lord with great gladness on that day. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him before the Lord to be the leader, and Zadok to be priest.

23 S alomón ocupó el trono del Señor en lugar de David su padre, y fue prosperado, y todo Israel le juró obediencia.

Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.

24 T odos los jefes y poderosos, y todos los hijos del rey David, rindieron homenaje al rey Salomón,

All the leaders and the mighty men, and also all the sons of King David, submitted themselves to King Solomon.

25 y el Señor lo engrandeció en extremo ante todo Israel, y fue tal la gloria de su reino que ningún rey la tuvo antes de él en Israel. Muerte de David

So the Lord exalted Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed on him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel. The Close of David’s Reign

26 D avid hijo de Yesé reinó sobre todo Israel

Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.

27 c uarenta años. Siete años reinó en Hebrón, y treinta y tres reinó en Jerusalén.

And the period that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years he reigned in Hebron, and thirty-three years he reigned in Jerusalem.

28 M urió cuando ya era anciano y entrado en años, rodeado de riquezas y de gloria; y en su lugar reinó su hijo Salomón.

So he died in a good old age, full of days and riches and honor; and Solomon his son reigned in his place.

29 L os hechos del rey David, tanto los primeros como los últimos, están escritos en el libro de las crónicas del vidente Samuel, en las crónicas del profeta Natán, y en las crónicas del vidente Gad,

Now the acts of King David, first and last, indeed they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,

30 c on todo lo relativo a su reinado y su poder, y con todo lo que le aconteció a él, y a Israel y a todos los reinos de aquellas tierras.

with all his reign and his might, and the events that happened to him, to Israel, and to all the kingdoms of the lands.
