1 « Căci iată că în zilele acelea şi în vremea aceea, când îi voi aduce înapoi pe captivii lui Iuda şi ai Ierusalimului,

“ For behold, in those days and at that time, When I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,

2 v oi aduna toate neamurile şi le voi coborî în Valea lui Iehoşafat. Acolo mă voi judeca cu ele pentru poporul Meu, pentru moştenirea Mea, Israel, căci l-au împrăştiat printre neamuri şi Mi-au împărţit ţara.

I will gather all the nations And bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land.

3 A u tras la sorţi pentru poporul Meu, au dat câte un tânăr pe o prostituată şi au vândut fete pe vin pe care l-au băut.

“They have also cast lots for My people, Traded a boy for a harlot And sold a girl for wine that they may drink.

4 A şadar, ce aveţi voi cu Mine, Tir şi Sidon şi toate ţinuturile Filistiei? Vreţi să vă răzbunaţi pe Mine? Dacă vă răfuiţi cu Mine, atunci imediat voi întoarce faptele voastre asupra capetelor voastre!

Moreover, what are you to Me, O Tyre, Sidon and all the regions of Philistia? Are you rendering Me a recompense? But if you do recompense Me, swiftly and speedily I will return your recompense on your head.

5 C ăci Mi-aţi luat argintul şi aurul şi Mi-aţi dus comorile de preţ în templele voastre.

Since you have taken My silver and My gold, brought My precious treasures to your temples,

6 A ţi vândut poporul lui Iuda şi al Ierusalimului la greci, ca să-i îndepărtaţi de hotarele lor.

and sold the sons of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks in order to remove them far from their territory,

7 I ată că îi voi scoate afară din locul în care i-aţi vândut şi vă voi întoarce faptele asupra capetelor voastre.

behold, I am going to arouse them from the place where you have sold them, and return your recompense on your head.

8 Î i voi vinde pe fiii şi pe fiicele voastre celor din Iuda, iar ei îi vor vinde sabeenilor, un neam îndepărtat, căci Domnul a vorbit.»

Also I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the sons of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, to a distant nation,” for the Lord has spoken.

9 V estiţi lucrul acesta printre neamuri: «Pregătiţi-vă de război! Ridicaţi vitejii! Toţi războinicii să se apropie şi să atace!

Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare a war; rouse the mighty men! Let all the soldiers draw near, let them come up!

10 B ateţi-vă plugurile şi prefaceţi-le în săbii, iar cosoarele în suliţe! Cel slab să zică: ‘Sunt viteaz!’

Beat your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, “I am a mighty man.”

11 G răbiţi-vă, veniţi, voi, toate neamurile dimprejur şi adunaţi-vă acolo!» Coboară-Ţi vitejii, Doamne!

Hasten and come, all you surrounding nations, And gather yourselves there. Bring down, O Lord, Your mighty ones.

12 « Să fie stârnite neamurile şi să vină în Valea lui Iehoşafat, căci acolo Mă voi aşeza să judec toate neamurile dimprejur!»

Let the nations be aroused And come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat, For there I will sit to judge All the surrounding nations.

13 P uneţi-vă secera în lan, căci secerişul este copt. Intraţi şi călcaţi în picioare, căci teascul este plin şi linurile se revarsă! Aşa de mare este răutatea lor!

Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread, for the wine press is full; The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great.

14 V in mulţimi peste mulţimi în valea deciziei! Căci ziua Domnului este aproape în valea deciziei.

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.

15 S oarele şi luna se vor întuneca, iar stelele îşi vor pierde strălucirea.

The sun and moon grow dark And the stars lose their brightness.

16 D omnul va răcni din Sion şi glasul Lui va răsuna din Ierusalim; cerurile şi pământul se vor cutremura. Dar Domnul va fi un adăpost pentru poporul Său, o fortăreaţă pentru israeliţi. Binecuvântări pentru poporul lui Dumnezeu

The Lord roars from Zion And utters His voice from Jerusalem, And the heavens and the earth tremble. But the Lord is a refuge for His people And a stronghold to the sons of Israel.

17 « Veţi şti astfel că Eu, Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, locuiesc în Sion, pe muntele Meu cel sfânt. Ierusalimul va fi sfânt iar străinii nu vor mai trece prin el să-l cucerească.

Then you will know that I am the Lord your God, Dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain. So Jerusalem will be holy, And strangers will pass through it no more. Judah Will Be Blessed

18 Î n ziua aceea, va picura must din munţi, va curge lapte din dealuri şi toate albiile din Iuda vor fi pline cu apă. Un izvor va ieşi din Casa Domnului şi va uda Valea Arborilor de Acacia.

And in that day The mountains will drip with sweet wine, And the hills will flow with milk, And all the brooks of Judah will flow with water; And a spring will go out from the house of the Lord To water the valley of Shittim.

19 E giptul va ajunge pustiu, iar Edomul – un deşert sterp, din cauza violenţei faţă de poporul lui Iuda, în a cărui ţară au vărsat sânge nevinovat.

Egypt will become a waste, And Edom will become a desolate wilderness, Because of the violence done to the sons of Judah, In whose land they have shed innocent blood.

20 D ar Iuda va fi locuit pentru totdeauna, iar Ierusalimul – din generaţie în generaţie.

But Judah will be inhabited forever And Jerusalem for all generations.

21 L e voi răzbuna sângele pe care nu l-am răzbunat încă!» Domnul locuieşte în Sion!“

And I will avenge their blood which I have not avenged, For the Lord dwells in Zion.
