Bow down thine ear, O Jehovah, and answer me; For I am poor and needy.

2 C ustodisci la mia vita perché sono santo; tu sei il mio DIO, salva il tuo servo che confida in te

Preserve my soul; for I am godly: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.

3 A bbi pietà di me, o Signore, perché grido a te tutto il giorno.

Be merciful unto me, O Lord; For unto thee do I cry all the day long.

4 R allegra il tuo servo, perché a te, o Signore, elevo l'anima mia.

Rejoice the soul of thy servant; For unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

5 P oiché tu, o Signore, sei buono e pronto a perdonare, e usi grande benignità verso tutti quelli che t'invocano.

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness unto all them that call upon thee.

6 T endi l'orecchio, o Eterno, alla mia preghiera, e sii attento al grido delle mie suppliche.

Give ear, O Jehovah, unto my prayer; And hearken unto the voice of my supplications.

7 I o t'invoco nel giorno della mia avversità, perché tu mi risponderai.

In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee; For thou wilt answer me.

8 N on vi è nessuno pari a te fra gli dèi, o Signore né vi sono opere pari alle tue.

There is none like unto thee among the gods, O Lord; Neither are there any works like unto thy works.

9 T utte le nazioni che tu hai creato verranno a prostrarsi davanti a te o Signore, e glorificheranno il tuo nome.

All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; And they shall glorify thy name.

10 P oiché tu sei grande e operi meraviglie; tu solo sei DIO.

For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: Thou art God alone.

11 I nsegnami la tua via, o Eterno, e io camminerò nella tua verità; unisci il mio cuore al timore del tuo nome.

Teach me thy way, O Jehovah; I will walk in thy truth: Unite my heart to fear thy name.

12 I o ti loderò, o Signore, DIO mio, con tutto il mio cuore, e glorificherò il tuo nome in eterno.

I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart; And I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13 P erché grande è la tua benignità verso di me; tu hai salvato l'anima mia dallo Sceol.

For great is thy lovingkindness toward me; And thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.

14 O DIO uomini superbi sono insorti contro di me e una torma di violenti cerca la mia vita e non pone te davanti ai loro occhi.

O God, the proud are risen up against me, And a company of violent men have sought after my soul, And have not set thee before them.

15 M a tu, o Signore, sei un DIO misericordioso e pietoso, lento all'ira e ricco in benignità e verità.

But thou, O Lord, art a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.

16 V olgiti a me e abbi pietà di me; dà la tua forza al tuo servo e salva il figlio della tua serva.

Oh turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; Give thy strength unto thy servant, And save the son of thy handmaid.

17 M ostrami un segno del tuo favore, affinché quelli che mi odiano lo vedano e rimangano confusi, vedendo che tu, o Eterno, mi hai soccorso e mi hai consolato.

Show me a token for good, That they who hate me may see it, and be put to shame, Because thou, Jehovah, hast helped me, and comforted me.
