Now these are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that Jehovah spake with Moses in mount Sinai.

2 Q uesti sono i nomi dei figli di Aaronne: Nadab, il primogenito, Abihu, Eleazar e Ithamar.

And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the first-born, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

3 Q uesti sono i nomi dei figli di Aaronne, unti sacerdoti, che egli consacrò per servire come sacerdoti.

These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests that were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest's office.

4 N adab e Abihu morirono davanti all'Eterno, quando offrirono fuoco illecito davanti all'Eterno nel deserto del Sinai; essi non avevano figli. Così Eleazar e Ithamar servirono come sacerdoti alla presenza di Aaronne, loro padre.

And Nadab and Abihu died before Jehovah, when they offered strange fire before Jehovah, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children; and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the presence of Aaron their father.

5 P oi l'Eterno parlò a Mosè, dicendo:

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

6 « Fa' avvicinare la tribù dei Leviti e presentala davanti al sacerdote Aaronne, perché stia al suo servizio.

Bring the tribe of Levi near, and set them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him.

7 E ssi eseguiranno tutte le sue istruzioni e svolgeranno le mansioni relative a tutta l'assemblea davanti alla tenda di convegno, facendo il servizio del tabernacolo.

And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tent of meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle.

8 A vranno cura di tutti gli utensili della tenda di convegno e adempiranno alle obbligazioni dei figli d'Israele, facendo il servizio del tabernacolo.

And they shall keep all the furniture of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.

9 T u darai i Leviti ad Aaronne e ai suoi figli; essi gli sono interamente dati dal mezzo dei figli d'Israele.

And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given unto him on the behalf of the children of Israel.

10 T u stabilirai Aaronne e i suoi figli, perché esercitino le mansioni del loro sacerdozio; ma ogni altro estraneo che si avvicina sarà messo a morte».

And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall keep their priesthood: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

11 L 'Eterno parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo:

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

12 E cco, io ho preso i Leviti dal mezzo dei figli d'Israele al posto di ogni primogenito che apre il grembo materno tra i figli d'Israele; perciò i Leviti saranno miei,

And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the first-born that openeth the womb among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be mine:

13 p oiché ogni primogenito è mio; nel, giorno in cui colpii tutti i primogeniti: nel paese d'Egitto, io consacrai a me stesso tutti i primogeniti in Israele, tanto degli uomini quanto degli animali; essi saranno miei. Io sono l'Eterno».

for all the first-born are mine; on the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the first-born in Israel, both man and beast; mine they shall be: I am Jehovah.

14 P oi l'Eterno parlò a Mosè nel deserto del Sinai, dicendo:

And Jehovah spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,

15 « Fa' il censimento dei figli di Levi in base alle case dei loro padri e alle loro famiglie; farai il censimento di tutti i maschi dall'età di un mese in su».

Number the children of Levi by their fathers' houses, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them.

16 C osì Mosè ne fece il censimento secondo l'ordine dell'Eterno, come gli era stato comandato.

And Moses numbered them according to the word of Jehovah, as he was commanded.

17 Q uesti sono i figli di Levi, secondo i loro nomi: Ghershon, Kehath e Merari.

And these were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.

18 Q uesti sono i nomi dei figli di Ghershon, secondo le loro famiglie: Libni e Scimei;

And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.

19 i figli di Kehath, secondo le loro famiglie: Amram, Itsehar, Hebron e Uzziel;

And the sons of Kohath by their families: Amram, and Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

20 i figli di Merari secondo le loro famiglie: Mahli e Musci. Queste sono le famiglie dei Leviti, in base alle case dei loro padri.

And the sons of Merari by their families: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their fathers' houses.

21 D a Ghershon discendono la famiglia dei Libniti e la famiglia degli Scimeiti; queste sono le famiglie dei Ghershoniti.

Of Gershon was the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimeites: these are the families of the Gershonites.

22 Q uelli che furono recensiti, contando tutti i maschi dall'età di un mese in su, furono settemilacinquecento.

Those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, even those that were numbered of them were seven thousand and five hundred.

23 L e famiglie dei Ghershoniti dovevano accamparsi dietro il tabernacolo, verso ovest.

The families of the Gershonites shall encamp behind the tabernacle westward.

24 I l capo della casa dei padri dei Ghershoniti era Eliasaf, figlio di Lael.

And the prince of the fathers' house of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Lael.

25 L e mansioni dei figli di Ghershon nella tenda di convegno riguardavano il tabernacolo, la tenda con la sua copertura, la cortina all'ingresso della tenda di convegno,

And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tent of meeting shall be the tabernacle, and the Tent, the covering thereof, and the screen for the door of the tent of meeting,

26 i tendaggi del cortile la cortina all'ingresso del cortile intorno al tabernacolo e all'altare e le sue corde per tutto il servizio che li riguardava.

and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and the cords of it for all the service thereof.

27 D a Kehath discendono la famiglia degli Amramiti, la famiglia degli Itsehariti, la famiglia degli Hebroniti e la famiglia degli Uzzieliti; queste sono le famiglie dei Kehathiti.

And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites.

28 C ontando tutti i maschi dall'età di un mese in su, c'erano ottomilaseicento che si prendevano cura del santuario.

According to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, there were eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary.

29 L e famiglie dei figli di Kehath dovevano accamparsi sul lato sud del tabernacolo.

The families of the sons of Kohath shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle southward.

30 I l capo della casa dei padri dei Kehathiti era Elitsafan, figlio di Uzziel.

And the prince of the fathers' house of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.

31 L e loro mansioni riguardavano l'arca, la tavola, il candelabro gli altari e gli utensili del santuario con i quali essi facevano il servizio, il velo e tutto il lavoro che ha a che fare con queste cose.

And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary wherewith they minister, and the screen, and all the service thereof.

32 I l principe dei principi dei Leviti era Eleazar, figlio del sacerdote Aaronne; egli aveva la sorveglianza di quelli che si prendevano cura del santuario.

And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be prince of the princes of the Levites, and have the oversight of them that keep the charge of the sanctuary.

33 D a Merari discendono la famiglia dei Mahliti e la famiglia dei Musciti; queste sono le famiglie di Merari.

Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites: these are the families of Merari.

34 Q uelli che furono recensiti, contando tutti i maschi dall'età di un mese in su, furono seimiladuecento.

And those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were six thousand and two hundred.

35 I l principe della casa dei padri delle famiglie di Merari era Tsuriel, figlio di Abihail. Essi dovevano accamparsi dal lato nord del tabernacolo.

And the prince of the fathers' house of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail: they shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle northward.

36 L e mansioni assegnate ai figli di Merari riguardavano le tavole del tabernacolo, le sue traverse, le sue colonne e le loro basi, tutti i suoi utensili e tutto il lavoro che ha a che fare con queste cose,

And the appointed charge of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the sockets thereof, and all the instruments thereof, and all the service thereof,

37 l e colonne del cortile tutt'intorno, le loro basi, i loro piuoli e le loro corde.

and the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords.

38 D avanti al tabernacolo, sul lato est, di fronte alla tenda di convegno, verso il sol levante, dovevano accamparsi Mosè Aaronne e i suoi figli; essi avevano la cura del santuario assolvendo le obbligazioni dei figli d'Israele; ma ogni altro estraneo che si fosse avvicinato sarebbe stato messo a morte.

And those that encamp before the tabernacle eastward, before the tent of meeting toward the sunrising, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

39 T utti i Leviti recensiti di cui Mosè ed Aaronne fecero il censimento in base alle loro famiglie per ordine dell'Eterno, tutti i maschi dall'età di un mese in su furono ventiduemila.

All that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of Jehovah, by their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand.

40 P oi l'Eterno disse a Mosè: «Fa' il censimento di tutti i primogeniti maschi tra i figli d'Israele dall'età di un mese in su e fa' il conto dei loro nomi.

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Number all the first-born males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.

41 P renderai i Leviti per me, io sono l'Eterno, al posto di tutti i primogeniti tra i figli d'Israele, e il bestiame dei Leviti al posto dei primogeniti tra il bestiame dei figli d'Israele».

And thou shalt take the Levites for me (I am Jehovah) instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel:

42 C osì Mosè fece il censimento di tutti i primogeniti tra i figli d'Israele, come l'Eterno gli aveva ordinato.

and Moses numbered, as Jehovah commanded him, all the first-born among the children of Israel.

43 T utti i primogeniti maschi di cui si fece il censimento, contando i nomi dall'età di un mese in su, furono ventiduemila duecentosettantatre.

And all the first-born males according to the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those that were numbered of them, were twenty and two thousand two hundred and threescore and thirteen.

44 P oi l'Eterno parlò a Mosè dicendo:

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

45 « Prendi i Leviti al posto di tutti i primogeniti dei figli d'Israele, e il bestiame dei Leviti al posto del loro bestiame; i Leviti saranno miei. Io sono l'Eterno.

Take the Levites instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am Jehovah.

46 P er il riscatto dei duecentosettantatre primogeniti dei figli d'Israele che oltrepassano il numero dei Leviti.

And for the redemption of the two hundred and threescore and thirteen of the first-born of the children of Israel, that are over and above the number of the Levites,

47 p renderai cinque sicli a testa; li prenderai secondo il siclo del santuario, il siclo è di venti ghere.

thou shalt take five shekels apiece by the poll; after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them (the shekel is twenty gerahs):

48 D arai il denaro ad Aaronne e ai suoi figli per il riscatto di quelli che oltrepassano il loro numero».

and thou shalt give the money, wherewith the odd number of them is redeemed, unto Aaron and to his sons.

49 C osì Mosè prese il denaro del riscatto da quei che oltrepassavano il numero dei primogeniti riscattati dai Leviti;

And Moses took the redemption-money from them that were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites;

50 p rese il denaro dei primogeniti dei figli d'Israele: milletrecentosessantacinque sicli, secondo il siclo del santuario.

from the first-born of the children of Israel took he the money, a thousand three hundred and threescore and five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:

51 P oi Mosè diede il denaro di quelli riscattati ad Aaronne e ai suoi figli, secondo l'ordine dell'Eterno, come l'Eterno aveva ordinato a Mosè.

and Moses gave the redemption-money unto Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of Jehovah, as Jehovah commanded Moses.
