1 A nd Job answereth and saith: --

И отвечал Иов и сказал:

2 W hat -- thou hast helped the powerless, Saved an arm not strong!

как ты помог бессильному, поддержал мышцу немощного!

3 W hat -- thou hast given counsel to the unwise, And wise plans in abundance made known.

Какой совет подал ты немудрому и как во всей полноте объяснил дело!

4 W ith whom hast thou declared words? And whose breath came forth from thee?

Кому ты говорил эти слова, и чей дух исходил из тебя?

5 T he Rephaim are formed, Beneath the waters, also their inhabitants.

Рефаимы трепещут под водами, и живущие в них.

6 N aked Sheol over-against Him, And there is no covering to destruction.

Преисподняя обнажена пред Ним, и нет покрывала Аваддону.

7 S tretching out the north over desolation, Hanging the earth upon nothing,

Он распростер север над пустотою, повесил землю ни на чем.

8 B inding up the waters in His thick clouds, And the cloud is not rent under them.

Он заключает воды в облаках Своих, и облако не расседается под ними.

9 T aking hold of the face of the throne, Spreading over it His cloud.

Он поставил престол Свой, распростер над ним облако Свое.

10 A limit He hath placed on the waters, Unto the boundary of light with darkness.

Черту провел над поверхностью воды, до границ света со тьмою.

11 P illars of the heavens do tremble, And they wonder because of His rebuke.

Столпы небес дрожат и ужасаются от грозы Его.

12 B y His power He hath quieted the sea, And by His understanding smitten the proud.

Силою Своею волнует море и разумом Своим сражает его дерзость.

13 B y His Spirit the heavens He beautified, Formed hath His hand the fleeing serpent.

От духа Его--великолепие неба; рука Его образовала быстрого скорпиона.

14 L o, these the borders of His way, And how little a matter is heard of Him, And the thunder of His might Who doth understand?

Вот, это части путей Его; и как мало мы слышали о Нем! А гром могущества Его кто может уразуметь?
