1 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

El Señor habló con Moisés, y le dijo:

2 C ommand the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.

«Manda a los hijos de Israel que te traigan aceite puro de oliva para el alumbrado, para mantener las lámparas encendidas siempre.

3 W ithout the vail of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning before the Lord continually: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations.

Aarón pondrá las lámparas delante de mí en el tabernáculo de reunión, fuera del velo del testimonio, desde la tarde hasta el amanecer. Éste es un estatuto perpetuo para sus descendientes.

4 H e shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the Lord continually.

Las pondrá siempre en orden delante de mí, sobre el candelero limpio. El pan de la proposición

5 A nd thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth deals shall be in one cake.

»Tomarás flor de harina, y con ella harás doce tortas, cada una con cuatro litros de harina.

6 A nd thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before the Lord.

Las pondrás en mi presencia sobre la mesa de oro puro, en dos hileras de seis panes cada una.

7 A nd thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

Sobre cada hilera pondrás también incienso puro, que aromatizará el pan como ofrenda encendida en mi honor.

8 E very sabbath he shall set it in order before the Lord continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.

Se trata de un pacto perpetuo. Todos los días de reposo, sin falta, Aarón pondrá el pan en orden delante de mí, de parte de los hijos de Israel.

9 A nd it shall be Aaron's and his sons'; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the Lord made by fire by a perpetual statute.

Este pan será para Aarón y sus descendientes, por derecho perpetuo. Deberán comerlo en un lugar santo, porque de las ofrendas encendidas en mi honor ésta es una ofrenda muy santa.» Castigo para la blasfemia

10 A nd the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;

Por esos días, un hombre que era hijo de una israelita y de un egipcio, y que vivía entre los hijos de Israel, salió del campamento y se peleó con un israelita.

11 A nd the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the name of the Lord, and cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:)

La israelita, madre de ese hombre, se llamaba Selomit, y era hija de un danita llamado Dibri. Y sucedió que ese hombre blasfemó contra el nombre del Señor y lanzó una maldición, así que lo llevaron ante Moisés

12 A nd they put him in ward, that the mind of the Lord might be shewed them.

y lo pusieron en la cárcel, hasta tener una palabra del Señor al respecto.

13 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

El Señor habló con Moisés, y le dijo:

14 B ring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

«Saca del campamento a ese blasfemo, para que todos los que lo oyeron maldecir pongan las manos sobre su cabeza, y toda la congregación lo apedree.

15 A nd thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.

Habla luego con los hijos de Israel, y diles que todo el que maldiga a su Dios tendrá que cargar con su pecado;

16 A nd he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.

que todo el que blasfeme contra mi nombre será condenado a muerte, y que toda la congregación lo apedreará. Esto vale tanto para los extranjeros como para los israelitas por nacimiento: si blasfeman contra mi Nombre, serán condenados a muerte.

17 A nd he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death.

»El que hiera de muerte a otra persona, será condenado a muerte.

18 A nd he that killeth a beast shall make it good; beast for beast.

»El que hiere a un animal tendrá que restituirlo con otro animal.

19 A nd if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;

»Al que hiera a su prójimo se le infligirá el mismo daño:

20 B reach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.

rotura por rotura, ojo por ojo, diente por diente. Según el daño que cause a otro, será el daño que recibirá.

21 A nd he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it: and he that killeth a man, he shall be put to death.

»El que hiera a un animal tendrá que restituirlo, pero el que hiera de muerte a un hombre será condenado a muerte.

22 Y e shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the Lord your God.

»Un mismo estatuto se aplicará al extranjero y al israelita por nacimiento. Yo soy el Señor su Dios.»

23 A nd Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses.

Y Moisés habló con los hijos de Israel, y ellos sacaron del campamento al blasfemo y lo apedrearon. Así cumplieron los hijos de Israel con lo que el Señor le había ordenado a Moisés.
