1 T he Lord reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.

¡El Señor reina! ¡Que se regocije la tierra! ¡Que se alegren las muchas costas!

2 C louds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.

¡El Señor está rodeado de densas nubes! ¡Su trono se basa en la justicia y el derecho!

3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.

¡Un fuego avanza delante de él, que consumirá a los enemigos que lo rodean!

4 H is lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.

¡Sus relámpagos alumbran el mundo! ¡Al verlos, la tierra se estremece!

5 T he hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

¡En presencia del Señor, en presencia del Señor de toda la tierra, los montes se derriten como cera!

6 T he heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

Los cielos anuncian su justicia; todos los pueblos contemplan su gloria.

7 C onfounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.

¡Avergüéncense todos ustedes, que rinden culto a las imágenes de talla! ¡Y ustedes, que se jactan de los ídolos! ¡Póstrense ante él todos los dioses!

8 Z ion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O Lord.

Sión lo supo, Señor, y se regocijó; las ciudades de Judá se alegraron por tus juicios,

9 F or thou, Lord, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.

porque tú, Señor, estás por encima de toda la tierra; ¡estás por encima de todos los dioses!

10 Y e that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

Ustedes, los que aman al Señor, ¡aborrezcan la maldad! El Señor protege la vida de sus fieles, y los libra del poder de los impíos.

11 L ight is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

La luz se difunde sobre los justos, y alegra a los rectos de corazón.

12 R ejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

Ustedes, los justos, ¡alégrense en el Señor y alaben su santo nombre!
