1 U nto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.

Gracias te damos, oh Dios, gracias te damos, Invocando tu nombre; Pregonando tus maravillas.

2 W hen I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.

Al tiempo que yo señale, Juzgaré rectamente.

3 T he earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.

Aunque se estremezca la tierra con todos sus moradores, Yo sostengo sus columnas. Selah

4 I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

Dije a los insensatos: No os infatuéis; Y a los impíos: No os enorgullezcáis;

5 L ift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.

No hagáis alarde de vuestro poder; No habléis con cerviz erguida.

6 F or promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

Porque ni del oriente ni del occidente, Ni del desierto viene el enaltecimiento.

7 B ut God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

Sino de Dios que es el juez; A éste humilla, y a aquél enaltece.

8 F or in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.

Porque el cáliz está en la mano de Jehová, y el vino está fermentado, Lleno de drogas; y él lo escancia; Hasta el fondo lo apurarán, y lo beberán todos los impíos de la tierra.

9 B ut I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

Pero yo siempre anunciaré Y cantaré alabanzas al Dios de Jacob.

10 A ll the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

Quebrantaré todo el poderío de los pecadores, Pero el poder del justo será exaltado.
