1 A lso, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord:

Tú, hijo de hombre, profetiza a los montes de Israel, y di: Montes de Israel, oíd palabra de Jehová.

2 T hus saith the Lord God; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession:

Así dice el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto el enemigo dijo contra vosotros: ¡Ea!, también las alturas eternas nos han sido dadas por heredad;

3 T herefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people:

profetiza, por tanto, y di: Así dice el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto habéis sido asolados y os han codiciado de todas partes para que vinierais a ser posesión de las otras naciones, y andáis en boca de habladores y en la difamación de la gente,

4 T herefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about;

por tanto, montes de Israel, oíd palabra del Señor Jehová: Así dice el Señor Jehová a los montes y a los collados, a los arroyos y a los valles, a las ruinas asoladas y a las ciudades desamparadas, que fueron entregadas al pillaje y al escarnio de las otras naciones alrededor;

5 T herefore thus saith the Lord God; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.

por eso, así dice el Señor Jehová: He hablado por cierto en el fuego de mi celo contra las demás naciones, y contra todo Edom, que se apropiaron entre ellos mi tierra por heredad con la alegría de todo su corazón y con el desprecio en el alma, para despoblarla y saquearla.

6 P rophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen:

Por tanto, profetiza sobre la tierra de Israel, y di a los montes y a los collados, y a los arroyos y a los valles: Así dice el Señor Jehová: He aquí, en mi celo y en mi furor he hablado, por cuanto habéis llevado el oprobio de las naciones.

7 T herefore thus saith the Lord God; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame.

Por lo cual así dice el Señor Jehová: Yo he alzado mi mano, y he jurado que las naciones que están a vuestro alrededor han de llevar su afrenta.

8 B ut ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come.

Mas vosotros, oh montes de Israel, daréis vuestras ramas, y llevaréis vuestro fruto para mi pueblo Israel; porque están a punto de volver.

9 F or, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown:

Porque he aquí que yo estoy por vosotros, y a vosotros me volveré, y seréis labrados y sembrados.

10 A nd I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded:

Y haré multiplicar hombres sobre vosotros, a toda la casa de Israel, toda ella; y las ciudades serán habitadas, y edificadas las ruinas.

11 A nd I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Multiplicaré sobre vosotros hombres y ganado, y serán multiplicados y crecerán; y os haré morar como solíais antiguamente, y os haré mayor bien que en vuestros principios; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

12 Y ea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them of men.

Y haré andar hombres sobre vosotros, a mi pueblo Israel; y tomarán posesión de ti, y les serás por heredad, y nunca más volverás a privarles de sus hijos.

13 T hus saith the Lord God; Because they say unto you, Thou land devourest up men, and hast bereaved thy nations:

Así dice el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto dicen de vosotros: Eres una tierra que devora a sus hombres, y has privado de hijos a tu nación;

14 T herefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nations any more, saith the Lord God.

por tanto, no devorarás más hombres, y nunca más matarás a los hijos de tu nación, dice el Señor Jehová.

15 N either will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall any more, saith the Lord God.

Y nunca más consentiré que se oiga contra ti el ultraje de las naciones, ni cargarás por más tiempo con los denuestos de los pueblos, ni volverás a privar de hijos a tu nación, dice el Señor Jehová.

16 M oreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

17 S on of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.

Hijo de hombre, mientras la casa de Israel moraba en su tierra, la contaminó con sus caminos y con sus obras; como inmundicia de menstruosa fue su camino delante de mí.

18 W herefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it:

Por lo cual derramé mi ira sobre ellos por la sangre que habían derramado sobre la tierra; porque la contaminaron con sus ídolos.

19 A nd I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.

Les esparcí entre las naciones, y fueron dispersados por las tierras; conforme a sus caminos y conforme a sus obras les castigué.

20 A nd when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the Lord, and are gone forth out of his land.

Y cuando llegaron a las naciones adonde fueron, profanaron mi santo nombre, diciéndose de ellos: Éstos son pueblo de Jehová, y han salido de la tierra de él.

21 B ut I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.

Pero he tenido lástima de mi santo nombre, profanado por la casa de Israel entre las naciones adonde fueron.

22 T herefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

Por tanto, di a la casa de Israel: Así dice el Señor Jehová: No lo hago por vosotros, oh casa de Israel, sino por causa de mi santo nombre, el cual profanasteis vosotros entre las naciones adonde habéis llegado.

23 A nd I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

Y santificaré mi gran nombre, profanado entre las naciones, el cual profanasteis vosotros en medio de ellas; y sabrán las naciones que yo soy Jehová, dice el Señor Jehová, cuando yo sea santificado en vosotros delante de sus ojos.

24 F or I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

Pues yo os tomaré de entre las naciones, y os recogeré de todas las tierras, y os traeré a vuestro país.

25 T hen will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

Esparciré sobre vosotros agua limpia, y quedaréis limpios; de todas vuestras inmundicias y de todos vuestros ídolos os limpiaré.

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Os daré también un corazón nuevo, y pondré un espíritu nuevo dentro de vosotros; y quitaré de vuestra carne el corazón de piedra, y os daré un corazón de carne.

27 A nd I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Y pondré dentro de vosotros mi Espíritu, y haré que andéis en mis estatutos, y guardéis mis ordenanzas, y las pongáis por obra.

28 A nd ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

Habitaréis en la tierra que di a vuestros padres, y vosotros me seréis por pueblo, y yo seré a vosotros por Dios.

29 I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.

Y os libraré de todas vuestras inmundicias; y llamaré al trigo, y lo multiplicaré, y no os haré pasar hambre.

30 A nd I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.

Multiplicaré asimismo el fruto de los árboles, y el producto de los campos, para que nunca más recibáis oprobio de hambre entre las naciones.

31 T hen shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

Y os acordaréis de vuestros malos caminos, y de vuestras obras que no fueron buenas; y sentiréis asco de vosotros mismos por vuestras iniquidades y por vuestras abominaciones.

32 N ot for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord God, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.

No lo hago por vosotros, dice Jehová el Señor, sabedlo bien; avergonzaos y cubríos de confusión por vuestras iniquidades, casa de Israel.

33 T hus saith the Lord God; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.

Así dice el Señor Jehová: El día que os limpie de todas vuestras iniquidades, haré también que sean habitadas las ciudades, y las ruinas serán reedificadas.

34 A nd the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.

Y la tierra que estuvo asolada, será labrada, después de haber permanecido asolada a ojos de todos los que pasaron.

35 A nd they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.

Y dirán: Esta tierra que estaba asolada ha venido a ser como el jardín del Edén; y estas ciudades que eran desiertas y asoladas y arruinadas, están fortificadas y habitadas.

36 T hen the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it.

Y las naciones que queden en vuestros alrededores sabrán que yo Jehová reedifiqué lo que estaba derribado, y planté lo que estaba desolado; yo Jehová he hablado, y lo haré.

37 T hus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.

Así dice el Señor Jehová: Aún seré solicitado por la casa de Israel, para hacerles esto; multiplicaré los hombres como se multiplican los rebaños.

38 A s the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

Como las ovejas consagradas, como las ovejas de Jerusalén en sus fiestas solemnes, así las ciudades desiertas serán llenas de rebaños de hombres; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.
