1 K eep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

Oh Dios, no guardes silencio; No calles, oh Dios, ni permanezcas inmóvil.

3 T hey have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

Contra tu pueblo han conspirado astuta y secretamente. Y se han conjurado contra tus protegidos.

4 T hey have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

Han dicho: Venid, y destruyámoslos para que no sean nación, Y no haya más memoria del nombre de Israel.

5 F or they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

Porque se confabulan de corazón a una, Contra ti han concertado alianza

6 T he tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

Las tiendas de los edomitas y de los ismaelitas, Moab y los agarenos;

7 G ebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

Gebal, Amón y Amalec, Los filisteos y los habitantes de Tiro.

8 A ssur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

También el asirio se ha juntado con ellos; Sirven de brazo a los hijos de Lot. Selah

9 D o unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:

11 M ake their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:

Pon a sus capitanes como a Oreb y a Zeeb; Como a Zeba y a Zalmuná a todos sus príncipes,

12 W ho said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.

Que decían: Apoderémonos de los dominios de Dios.

13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

Dios mío, ponlos como remolinos de polvo, Como hojarasca delante del viento,

14 A s the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;

Como fuego que quema el monte, Como llama que abrasa el bosque.

15 S o persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

Persíguelos así con tu tempestad, Y atérralos con tu torbellino.

16 F ill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O Lord.

Llena sus rostros de vergüenza, Para que busquen tu nombre, oh Jehová.

17 L et them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

Sean afrentados y turbados para siempre; Sean confundidos, y perezcan.

18 T hat men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth.

Y conozcan que tu nombre es Jehová; El Altísimo sobre toda la tierra.
