1 A rise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

Levántate, resplandece; porque ha venido tu luz, y la gloria de Jehová ha amanecido sobre ti.

2 F or, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

Porque he aquí que tinieblas cubrirán la tierra, y oscuridad las naciones; mas sobre ti amanecerá Jehová, y sobre ti será vista su gloria.

3 A nd the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Y andarán las naciones a tu luz, y los reyes al resplandor de tu amanecer.

4 L ift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.

Alza tus ojos alrededor y mira, todos ésos se han juntado, y vienen a ti; tus hijos vienen de lejos, y tus hijas son llevadas en brazos.

5 T hen thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

Entonces verás, y resplandecerás; se maravillará y ensanchará tu corazón, porque se habrá vuelto a ti la multitud del mar, y las riquezas de las naciones habrán venido a ti.

6 T he multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the Lord.

Gran caravana de camellos te cubrirá; dromedarios de Madián y de Efá; todos vendrán de Sebá; traerán oro e incienso, y proclamarán las alabanzas de Jehová.

7 A ll the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.

Todo el ganado de Cedar será juntado para ti; carneros de Nebayot estarán a tu servicio; serán ofrecidos con agrado sobre mi altar, y glorificaré la casa de mi gloria.

8 W ho are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?

¿Quiénes son éstos que vuelan como nubes, y como palomas a sus ventanas?

9 S urely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.

Ciertamente a mí esperarán los de las islas, y las naves de Tarsis las primeras, para traer a tus hijos de lejos, su plata y su oro con ellos, por el nombre de Jehová tu Dios, y por el Santo de Israel, que te ha glorificado.

10 A nd the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.

Hijos de extranjeros edificarán tus muros, y sus reyes te servirán; porque en mi ira te azoté, mas en mi buena voluntad tendré compasión de ti.

11 T herefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

Tus puertas estarán de continuo abiertas; no se cerrarán de día ni de noche, para que a ti sean traídas las riquezas de las naciones, y conducidos a ti sus reyes.

12 F or the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.

Porque la nación o el reino que no te sirva perecerá; tales naciones serán del todo asoladas.

13 T he glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.

La gloria del Líbano vendrá a ti, cipreses, pinos y bojes juntamente, para embellecer el lugar de mi santuario; y yo honraré el lugar de mis pies.

14 T he sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

Y vendrán a ti humillados los hijos de los que te afligieron, y a las pisadas de tus pies se encorvarán todos los que te escarnecían, y te llamarán la Ciudad de Jehová, Sión del Santo de Israel.

15 W hereas thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

En vez de estar abandonada y aborrecida, tanto que nadie pasaba por ti, haré que seas una lozanía eterna, el gozo de muchas generaciones.

16 T hou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

Y mamarás la leche de las naciones, del pecho de los reyes mamarás; y conocerás que yo Jehová soy el Salvador tuyo; y el Redentor tuyo, el Fuerte de Jacob.

17 F or brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.

En vez de bronce traeré oro, y por hierro plata, y por madera bronce, y en lugar de piedras hierro; y pondré paz por tu gobierno, y justicia por tus magistrados.

18 V iolence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.

Nunca más se oirá en tu tierra violencia, desolación ni destrucción en tu territorio, sino que a tus muros llamarás Salvación, y a tus puertas Alabanza.

19 T he sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

El sol nunca más te servirá de luz para el día, ni el resplandor de la luna te alumbrará, sino que Jehová te será por luz perpetua, y el Dios tuyo por tu gloria.

20 T hy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

No se pondrá jamás tu sol, ni menguará tu luna; porque Jehová te será por luz perpetua, y los días de tu luto se habrán acabado.

21 T hy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

Y tu pueblo, todos ellos serán justos, para siempre heredarán la tierra; renuevos de mi plantío, obra de mis manos en la que gloriarme.

22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.

El más pequeño vendrá a ser toda una tribu; el menor, una nación fuerte. Yo Jehová, a su tiempo apresuraré su cumplimiento.
