1 T herefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Justificados, pues, por la fe, tenemos paz para con Dios por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo;

2 B y whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

por medio del cual hemos obtenido también entrada por la fe a esta gracia en la cual estamos firmes, y nos gloriamos en la esperanza de la gloria de Dios.

3 A nd not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

Y no sólo esto, sino que también nos gloriamos en las tribulaciones, sabiendo que la tribulación produce paciencia;

4 A nd patience, experience; and experience, hope:

y la paciencia, carácter probado; y el carácter probado, esperanza;

5 A nd hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

y la esperanza no avergüenza; porque el amor de Dios ha sido derramado en nuestros corazones por medio del Espíritu Santo que nos fue dado.

6 F or when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

Porque Cristo, cuando aún éramos débiles, a su tiempo murió por los impíos.

7 F or scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

Pues apenas morirá alguien por un justo; con todo, pudiera ser que alguno se atreviera a morir por un hombre de bien.

8 B ut God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Mas Dios muestra su amor para con nosotros, en que siendo aún pecadores, Cristo murió por nosotros.

9 M uch more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Así que, mucho más, habiendo sido ya justificados en su sangre, seremos salvos de la ira por medio de él.

10 F or if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Porque si siendo enemigos, fuimos reconciliados con Dios por la muerte de su Hijo, mucho más, habiendo sido reconciliados, seremos salvos por su vida.

11 A nd not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Y no sólo esto, sino que también nos gloriamos en Dios por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, por quien hemos recibido ahora la reconciliación. Adán y Cristo, comparados

12 W herefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Por tanto, así como el pecado entró en el mundo por medio de un hombre, y por medio del pecado la muerte, así también la muerte alcanzó a todos los hombres, por cuanto todos pecaron.

13 ( For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

Pues antes de la ley, había pecado en el mundo; pero el pecado no se imputa donde no hay ley.

14 N evertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

No obstante, reinó la muerte desde Adán hasta Moisés, aun en los que no pecaron a la manera de la transgresión de Adán, el cual es figura del que había de venir.

15 B ut not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

Pero con el don no sucede como con la transgresión; porque si por la transgresión de aquel uno murieron los muchos, abundaron mucho más para los muchos la gracia y el don de Dios por la gracia de un hombre, Jesucristo.

16 A nd not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

Y con el don no sucede como en el caso de aquel uno que pecó; porque ciertamente el juicio surgió de un solo pecado resultando en condenación, pero el don surgió de muchas transgresiones resultando en justificación.

17 F or if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Pues si por la transgresión de uno solo, por ese uno reinó la muerte, mucho más reinarán en vida por uno solo, Jesucristo, los que reciben la abundancia de la gracia y del don de la justicia.

18 T herefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Así pues, como por la transgresión de uno vino la condenación a todos los hombres, de la misma manera por la justicia de uno vino a todos los hombres la justificación de vida.

19 F or as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Porque así como por la desobediencia de un hombre, los muchos fueron constituidos pecadores, así también por la obediencia de uno, los muchos serán constituidos justos.

20 M oreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

Pero la ley se introdujo para que el pecado abundase; mas donde el pecado abundó, sobreabundó la gracia;

21 T hat as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

para que así como el pecado reinó en la muerte, así también la gracia reine por medio de la justicia para vida eterna mediante Jesucristo, nuestro Señor.
