1 T he word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

2 S on of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord God; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

Hijo de hombre, di al príncipe de Tiro: Así dice el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto se enalteció tu corazón, y dijiste: Yo soy un dios, en el trono de Dios estoy sentado en medio de los mares (siendo tú hombre y no Dios, aunque has puesto tu corazón como corazón de Dios);

3 B ehold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:

¡he aquí que tú eres más sabio que Daniel; no hay secreto que te sea oculto!

4 W ith thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:

Con tu sabiduría y con tu prudencia has acumulado riquezas, y has adquirido oro y plata en tus tesoros.

5 B y thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:

Con la grandeza de tu sabiduría en tus contrataciones has multiplicado tus riquezas; y a causa de tus riquezas se ha enaltecido tu corazón.

6 T herefore thus saith the Lord God; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;

Por tanto, así dice el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto pusiste tu corazón como corazón de Dios,

7 B ehold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.

por tanto, he aquí que yo traigo sobre ti extranjeros, los más feroces de las naciones, que desenvainarán sus espadas contra la hermosura de tu sabiduría, y mancharán tu esplendor.

8 T hey shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.

Al sepulcro te harán descender, y morirás con la muerte de los que mueren en medio de los mares.

9 W ilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.

¿Hablarás delante del que te mate, diciendo: Yo soy Dios? Pero tú eres un hombre, y no Dios, en las manos de tu matador.

10 T hou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God.

De muerte de incircuncisos morirás a manos de extranjeros; porque yo he hablado, dice el Señor Jehová. La caída del rey de Tiro

11 M oreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

12 S on of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

Hijo de hombre, levanta endechas sobre el rey de Tiro, y dile: Así dice el Señor Jehová: Tú eras el sello de la perfección, lleno de sabiduría, y acabado en hermosura.

13 T hou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

En Edén, en el huerto de Dios estuviste; de toda piedra preciosa era tu vestidura; de cornerina, topacio, jaspe, crisólito, berilo y ónice; de zafiro, carbunclo, esmeralda y oro; los primores de tus tamboriles y flautas estuvieron preparados para ti en el día en que fuiste creado.

14 T hou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Tú eras el querubín protector, de alas desplegadas; yo te puse en el santo monte de Dios, allí estuviste; en medio de las piedras de fuego te paseabas.

15 T hou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Perfecto eras en todos tus caminos desde el día que fuiste creado, hasta que se halló en ti maldad.

16 B y the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

A causa de la multitud de tus contratos se llenó tu interior de violencia, y pecaste; por lo que yo te eché del monte de Dios como cosa impura, y te arrojé de entre las piedras del fuego, oh querubín protector.

17 T hine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Se enalteció tu corazón a causa de tu hermosura, corrompiste tu sabiduría a causa de tu esplendor; yo te he arrojado por tierra; delante de los reyes te he puesto por espectáculo.

18 T hou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

Con la multitud de tus maldades y con la iniquidad de tus contratos profanaste tus santuarios; yo, pues, saqué un fuego de en medio de ti, el cual te consumió, y te he convertido en ceniza sobre la tierra a los ojos de todos los que te miran.

19 A ll they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

Todos los que te conocieron de entre los pueblos se asombrarán de ti; serás objeto de terror, y para siempre dejarás de ser. Profecía contra Sidón

20 A gain the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

21 S on of man, set thy face against Zidon, and prophesy against it,

Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro hacia Sidón, y profetiza contra ella,

22 A nd say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.

y dirás: Así dice el Señor Jehová: He aquí que yo estoy contra ti, oh Sidón, y seré glorificado en medio de ti; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová, cuando haya ejecutado en ella juicios, y en ella me santifique.

23 F or I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

Enviaré a ella peste y sangre en sus calles, y las víctimas caerán en medio de ella, con espada contra ella por todos lados; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.

24 A nd there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I am the Lord God.

Y nunca más habrá para la casa de Israel zarza que punce ni espina que lacere, en medio de cuantos la rodean y la menosprecian; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.

25 T hus saith the Lord God; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.

Así dice el Señor Jehová: Cuando recoja a la casa de Israel de los pueblos entre los cuales está esparcida, entonces me santificaré en ellos ante los ojos de las naciones, y habitarán en su tierra, la cual di a mi siervo Jacob.

26 A nd they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the Lord their God.

Y habitarán en ella seguros, y edificarán casas, y plantarán viñas, y vivirán confiadamente, cuando yo haya ejecutado juicios sobre todos los que los desprecian en sus alrededores; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová su Dios.
