1 T he word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

2 S on of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Howl ye, Woe worth the day!

Hijo de hombre, profetiza, y di: Así dice el Señor Jehová: Lamentad: ¡Ay de aquel día!

3 F or the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.

Porque cerca está el día, cerca está el día de Jehová; día de nublado será el día de las naciones.

4 A nd the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.

Y vendrá espada sobre Egipto, y habrá alarma en Etiopía, cuando caigan las víctimas en Egipto; y tomarán sus riquezas, y serán destruidos sus fundamentos.

5 E thiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.

Etiopía, Fut, Lud, los extranjeros de toda raza, los de Cub, y los hijos de las tierras aliadas, caerán con ellos a filo de espada.

6 T hus saith the Lord; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord God.

Así dice Jehová: También caerán los que sostienen a Egipto, y la altivez de su poderío caerá; desde Migdol hasta Sevené caerán en él a filo de espada, dice el Señor Jehová.

7 A nd they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.

Y serán asolados en medio de las tierras asoladas, y sus ciudades estarán en medio de las ciudades desiertas.

8 A nd they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be destroyed.

Y sabrán que yo soy Jehová, cuando ponga fuego a Egipto, y sean destruidos todos sus ayudadores.

9 I n that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh.

En aquel tiempo saldrán mensajeros de delante de mí en naves, para espantar a Etiopía la confiada, y serán presa de la confusión en el día de Egipto; porque he aquí que viene.

10 T hus saith the Lord God; I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.

Así dice el Señor Jehová: Haré desaparecer la multitud de Egipto por mano de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia.

11 H e and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.

Él, y su pueblo con él, los más feroces de las naciones, serán traídos para destruir la tierra; y desenvainarán sus espadas contra Egipto, y llenarán de muertos la tierra.

12 A nd I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked: and I will make the land waste, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I the Lord have spoken it.

Y secaré los ríos, y entregaré la tierra en manos de hombres malvados, y por mano de extranjeros destruiré la tierra y cuanto en ella hay. Yo Jehová he hablado.

13 T hus saith the Lord God; I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause their images to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.

Así dice el Señor Jehová: Destruiré también las imágenes, y destruiré los ídolos de Menfis; y no habrá más príncipe de la tierra de Egipto, y en la tierra de Egipto sembraré el terror.

14 A nd I will make Pathros desolate, and will set fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments in No.

Asolaré a Patrós, y pondré fuego a Zoán, y haré justicia en Tebas.

15 A nd I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.

Y derramaré mi ira sobre Sin, fortaleza de Egipto, y exterminaré a la multitud de Tebas.

16 A nd I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be rent asunder, and Noph shall have distresses daily.

Y pondré fuego a Egipto; Sin tendrá gran dolor, y Tebas será destrozada, y Menfis será atacada en pleno día.

17 T he young men of Aven and of Pibeseth shall fall by the sword: and these cities shall go into captivity.

Los jóvenes de Aven y de Pibéset caerán a filo de espada, y sus viudas irán al cautiverio.

18 A t Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.

Y en Tafnes se oscurecerá el día, cuando quebrante yo allí los yugos de Egipto, y cesará en ella la soberbia de su poderío; una densa nube la cubrirá, y los moradores de sus aldeas irán al cautiverio.

19 T hus will I execute judgments in Egypt: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

Así, pues, ejecutaré juicios en Egipto, y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.

20 A nd it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

Aconteció en el año undécimo, en el mes primero, a los siete días del mes, que vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

21 S on of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it shall not be bound up to be healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword.

Hijo de hombre, he quebrado el brazo de Faraón, rey de Egipto; y he aquí que no ha sido vendado para curarlo, ni entablillado para ligarlo, a fin de fortalecerlo para que pueda sostener la espada.

22 T herefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

Por tanto, así dice el Señor Jehová: Heme aquí contra Faraón, rey de Egipto, y quebraré sus brazos, el fuerte y el fracturado, y haré que la espada se le caiga de la mano.

23 A nd I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.

Y esparciré a los egipcios entre las naciones, y los dispersaré por las tierras.

24 A nd I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh's arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.

Y fortaleceré los brazos del rey de Babilonia, y pondré mi espada en su mano; pero quebraré los brazos de Faraón, y delante de aquél gemirá con gemidos de herido de muerte.

25 B ut I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.

Sostendré, pues, los brazos del rey de Babilonia, y los brazos de Faraón caerán; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová, cuando yo ponga mi espada en la mano del rey de Babilonia, y él la extienda sobre la tierra de Egipto.

26 A nd I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among the countries; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

Y esparciré a los egipcios entre las naciones, y los dispersaré por las tierras; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.
