1 A nd I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

Y yo, hermanos, no pude hablaros como a espirituales, sino como a carnales, como a niños en Cristo.

2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

Os di a beber leche, y no alimento sólido; porque aún no erais capaces, ni sois capaces todavía,

3 F or ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

porque aún sois carnales; pues habiendo entre vosotros celos, contiendas y disensiones, ¿no sois carnales, y andáis según el modo humano?

4 F or while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

Porque diciendo el uno: Yo ciertamente soy de Pablo; y el otro: Yo soy de Apolos, ¿no sois carnales?

5 W ho then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?

¿Qué, pues, es Pablo, y qué es Apolos? Servidores por medio de los cuales habéis creído; y eso según lo que a cada uno concedió el Señor.

6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

Yo planté, Apolos regó; pero el crecimiento lo ha dado Dios;

7 S o then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

de modo que ni el que planta es algo, ni el que riega, sino Dios, que da el crecimiento.

8 N ow he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

Y el que planta y el que riega son una misma cosa; aunque cada uno recibirá su propia recompensa conforme a su propia labor.

9 F or we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

Porque nosotros somos colaboradores de Dios, y vosotros sois labranza de Dios, edificio de Dios.

10 A ccording to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

Conforme a la gracia de Dios que me ha sido dada, yo como perito arquitecto puse el fundamento, y otro edifica encima; pero cada uno mire cómo sobreedifica.

11 F or other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Porque nadie puede poner otro fundamento que el que está puesto, el cual es Jesucristo.

12 N ow if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

Y si alguien edifica sobre este fundamento oro, plata, piedras preciosas, madera, heno, paja,

13 E very man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

la obra de cada uno se hará manifiesta; porque el día la declarará, pues por el fuego será revelada; y el fuego mismo probará la calidad de la obra de cada uno.

14 I f any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

Si permanece la obra de alguno que sobreedificó, recibirá recompensa.

15 I f any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Si la obra de alguno se quema, él sufrirá pérdida, si bien él mismo será salvo, aunque así como a través del fuego.

16 K now ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

¿No sabéis que sois santuario de Dios, y que el Espíritu de Dios mora en vosotros?

17 I f any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Si alguno destruye el santuario de Dios, Dios le destruirá a él; porque el santuario de Dios, el cual sois vosotros, es sagrado.

18 L et no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

Nadie se engañe a sí mismo; si alguno entre vosotros se cree sabio según este mundo, hágase ignorante para que llegue a ser sabio.

19 F or the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

Porque la sabiduría de este mundo es insensatez para con Dios; pues escrito está: Él atrapa a los sabios en la astucia de ellos.

20 A nd again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

Y otra vez: El Señor conoce los razonamientos de los sabios, que son vanos.

21 T herefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's;

Así que, ninguno se jacte en los hombres; porque todo es vuestro:

22 W hether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's;

sea Pablo, sea Apolos, sea Cefas, sea el mundo, sea la vida, sea la muerte, sea lo presente, sea lo por venir, todo es vuestro,

23 A nd ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

y vosotros de Cristo, y Cristo de Dios.
