1 O h Dios, no guardes silencio; No calles, oh Dios, ni permanezcas inmóvil.

Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

2 P orque he aquí que rugen tus enemigos, Y los que te aborrecen alzan cabeza.

For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

3 C ontra tu pueblo han conspirado astuta y secretamente. Y se han conjurado contra tus protegidos.

They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

4 H an dicho: Venid, y destruyámoslos para que no sean nación, Y no haya más memoria del nombre de Israel.

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

5 P orque se confabulan de corazón a una, Contra ti han concertado alianza

For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

6 L as tiendas de los edomitas y de los ismaelitas, Moab y los agarenos;

The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

7 G ebal, Amón y Amalec, Los filisteos y los habitantes de Tiro.

Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

8 T ambién el asirio se ha juntado con ellos; Sirven de brazo a los hijos de Lot. Selah

Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

9 H azles como a Madián, Como a Sisara, como a Jabín en el arroyo de Cisón;

Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:

10 Q ue perecieron en Endor, Fueron hechos como estiércol para la tierra.

Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.

11 P on a sus capitanes como a Oreb y a Zeeb; Como a Zeba y a Zalmuná a todos sus príncipes,

Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:

12 Q ue decían: Apoderémonos de los dominios de Dios.

Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.

13 D ios mío, ponlos como remolinos de polvo, Como hojarasca delante del viento,

O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

14 C omo fuego que quema el monte, Como llama que abrasa el bosque.

As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;

15 P ersíguelos así con tu tempestad, Y atérralos con tu torbellino.

So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

16 L lena sus rostros de vergüenza, Para que busquen tu nombre, oh Jehová.

Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O Lord.

17 S ean afrentados y turbados para siempre; Sean confundidos, y perezcan.

Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

18 Y conozcan que tu nombre es Jehová; El Altísimo sobre toda la tierra.

That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth.
