1 P asado el sábado, al amanecer del primer día de la semana, vinieron María la Magdalena y la otra María, a ver el sepulcro.

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

2 Y hubo un gran terremoto; porque un ángel del Señor, descendiendo del cielo y llegando, removió la piedra, y se sentó sobre ella.

And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

3 S u aspecto era como un relámpago, y su vestido blanco como la nieve.

His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

4 Y de miedo de él los guardias temblaron y se quedaron como muertos.

And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

5 M as el ángel, dirigiéndose a las mujeres, les dijo: Dejad de temer vosotras; porque yo sé que buscáis a Jesús, el que fue crucificado.

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

6 N o está aquí, pues ha resucitado, como dijo. Venid, ved el lugar donde yacía el Señor.

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

7 E id pronto y decid a sus discípulos que ha resucitado de los muertos, y he aquí que va delante de vosotros a Galilea; allí le veréis. He aquí que os lo he dicho.

And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

8 E ntonces ellas, saliendo a toda prisa del sepulcro con temor y gran gozo, fueron corriendo a dar las nuevas a sus discípulos. Y mientras iban a dar las nuevas a los discípulos,

And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

9 h e aquí que Jesús les salió al encuentro, diciendo: ¡Salve! Y ellas, acercándose, se asieron a sus pies, y le adoraron.

And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

10 E ntonces Jesús les dijo: No temáis ya; id, dad las nuevas a mis hermanos, para que vayan a Galilea, y allí me verán. El informe de la guardia

Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

11 M ientras ellas iban, he aquí que algunos de la guardia fueron a la ciudad, e informaron a los principales sacerdotes de todas las cosas que habían acontecido.

Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

12 Y reunidos con los ancianos, y habido consejo, dieron mucho dinero a los soldados,

And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,

13 d iciendo: Decid vosotros: Sus discípulos vinieron de noche, y lo hurtaron, estando nosotros dormidos.

Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.

14 Y si esto lo oye el gobernador, nosotros le persuadiremos, y os evitaremos preocupaciones.

And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

15 Y ellos, tomando el dinero, hicieron como se les había instruido. Este dicho se divulgó extensamente entre los judíos hasta hoy. La gran comisión

So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

16 P ero los once discípulos se fueron a Galilea, al monte donde Jesús les había ordenado.

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

17 Y cuando le vieron, le adoraron; pero algunos dudaban.

And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

18 Y Jesús se acercó y les habló diciendo: Toda autoridad me ha sido dada en el cielo y sobre la tierra.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 P or tanto, id, y haced discípulos en todas las naciones, bautizándolos en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo;

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 e nseñándoles a guardar todas las cosas que os he mandado; y he aquí que yo estoy con vosotros todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
