1 L ater on there was a Jewish festival (feast) for which Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

Подир това имаше юдейски празник, и Исус влезе в Ерусалим.

2 N ow there is in Jerusalem a pool near the Sheep Gate. This pool in the Hebrew is called Bethesda, having five porches (alcoves, colonnades, doorways).

А в Ерусалим, близо до овчата <порта>, се намира къпалня, наречена по еврейски Витесда, която има пет преддверия.

3 I n these lay a great number of sick folk—some blind, some crippled, and some paralyzed (shriveled up)— waiting for the bubbling up of the water.

В тях лежаха множество болни, слепи, куци и изсъхнали, [които чакаха да се раздвижи водата.

4 F or an angel of the Lord went down at appointed seasons into the pool and moved and stirred up the water; whoever then first, after the stirring up of the water, stepped in was cured of whatever disease with which he was afflicted.

Защото от време на време ангел слизаше в къпалнята и размътваше водата; а който пръв влизаше след раздвижването на водата оздравяваше от каквато болест и да беше болен].

5 T here was a certain man there who had suffered with a deep-seated and lingering disorder for thirty-eight years.

И там имаше един човек болен от тридесет и осем години.

6 W hen Jesus noticed him lying there, knowing that he had already been a long time in that condition, He said to him, Do you want to become well?

Исус, като го видя да лежи, и узна, че от дълго време вече <боледувал>, каза му: Искаш ли да оздравееш?

7 T he invalid answered, Sir, I have nobody when the water is moving to put me into the pool; but while I am trying to come myself, somebody else steps down ahead of me.

Болният Му отговори: Господине, нямам човек да ме спусне в къпалнята, когато се раздвижи водата, но докато дойда аз, друг слиза преди мене.

8 J esus said to him, Get up! Pick up your bed (sleeping pad) and walk!

Исус му казва: Стани, дигни постелката си и ходи.

9 I nstantly the man became well and recovered his strength and picked up his bed and walked. But that happened on the Sabbath.

И на часа човекът оздравя, дигна постелката си, и започна да ходи. А тоя ден беше събота.

10 S o the Jews kept saying to the man who had been healed, It is the Sabbath, and you have no right to pick up your bed.

Затова юдеите казаха на изцеления: Събота е, и не ти е позволено да дигнеш постелката си.

11 H e answered them, The Man Who healed me and gave me back my strength, He Himself said to me, Pick up your bed and walk!

Но той им отговори: Онзи, Който ме изцели, Той ми рече: Дигни постелката си и ходи?

12 T hey asked him, Who is the Man Who told you, Pick up your bed and walk?

Попитаха го: Кой човек ти рече: Дигни постелката си и ходи?

13 N ow the invalid who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had quietly gone away, since there was a crowd in the place.

А изцеленият не знаеше Кой е; защото Исус беше се изплъзнал оттам, тъй като имаше множество народ на това място.

14 A fterward, when Jesus found him in the temple, He said to him, See, you are well! Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.

По-после Исус го намери в храма и му рече: Ето, ти си здрав; не съгрешавай вече, за да те не сполети нещо по-лошо.

15 T he man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus Who had made him well.

Човекът отиде и извести на юдеите, че Исус е, Който го изцели.

16 F or this reason the Jews began to persecute (annoy, torment) Jesus and sought to kill Him, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath.

И затова юдеите гонеха Исуса, защото вършеше тия неща в събота.

17 B ut Jesus answered them, My Father has worked until now, and I, too, must be at work.

А Исус им отговори: Отец Ми работи до сега, и Аз работя.

18 T his made the Jews more determined than ever to kill Him; because He not only was breaking (weakening, violating) the Sabbath, but He actually was speaking of God as being His own Father, making Himself equal with God.

Затова юдеите искаха още повече да го убият; защото не само нарушаваше съботата, но и правеше Бога Свой Отец, и <така> правеше Себе Си равен на Бога.

19 S o Jesus answered them by saying, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the Son is able to do nothing of Himself (of His own accord); but He is able to do only what He sees the Father doing, for whatever the Father does is what the Son does in the same way.

Затова Исус им рече: Истина, истина ви казвам, не може Синът да върши от само Себе Си нищо, освен това, което вижда да върши Отец; понеже каквото върши Той, подобно и Синът го върши.

20 T he Father dearly loves the Son and discloses to (shows) Him everything that He Himself does. And He will disclose to Him (let Him see) greater things yet than these, so that you may marvel and be full of wonder and astonishment.

Защото Отец люби Сина, и Му показва все що върши сам; ще Му показва и от тия по-големи работи, за да се чудите вие.

21 J ust as the Father raises up the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whomever He wills and is pleased to give it.

Понеже както Отец възкресява мъртвите и ги съживява, така и Синът съживява, тия които иска.

22 E ven the Father judges no one, for He has given all judgment (the last judgment and the whole business of judging) entirely into the hands of the Son,

Защото, нито Отец не съди никого, но е дал на Сина да съди всички,

23 S o that all men may give honor (reverence, homage) to the Son just as they give honor to the Father. whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, Who has sent Him.

за да почитат всички Сина, както почитат Отца. Който не почита Сина, не почита Отца, Който Го е пратил.

24 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the person whose ears are open to My words and believes and trusts in and clings to and relies on Him Who sent Me has (possesses now) eternal life. And he does not come into judgment, but he has already passed over out of death into life.

Истина, истина ви казвам, който слуша Моето учение, и вярва в Този, Който Ме е пратил, има вечен живот, и няма да дойде на съд, но е преминал от смъртта в живота.

25 B elieve Me when I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the time is coming and is here now when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear it shall live.

Истина, истина ви казвам, иде час, и сега е, когато мъртвите ще чуят гласа на Божия Син, и които го чуят ще живеят.

26 F or even as the Father has life in Himself and is self-existent, so He has given to the Son to have life in Himself and be self-existent.

Защото, както Отец има живот в Себе Си, също така е дал и на Сина да има живот в Себе Си;

27 A nd He has given Him authority and granted Him power to execute (exercise, practice) judgment because He is a Son of man.

и дал Му е власт да извършва съдба, защото е Човешкият Син.

28 D o not be surprised and wonder at this, for the time is coming when all those who are in the tombs shall hear His voice,

Недейте се чуди на това; защото иде час, когато всички, които са в гробовете, ще чуят гласа Му,

29 A nd they shall come out—those who have practiced doing good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil will be raised for judgment.

и ще излязат; ония, които са вършили добро, ще възкръснат за живот, а които са вършили зло, ще възкръснат за осъждане.

30 I am able to do nothing from Myself. Even as I hear, I judge, and My judgment is right (just, righteous), because I do not seek or consult My own will but only the will and pleasure of the Father Who sent Me.

Аз не мога да върша нищо от Себе Си; съдя както чуя; и съдбата Ми е справедлива, защото не искам Моята воля, но волята на Онзи, Който Ме е пратил.

31 I f I alone testify in My behalf, My testimony is not valid and cannot be worth anything.

Ако свидетелствувам Аз за Себе Си; свидетелството Ми не е истинно.

32 T here is Another Who testifies concerning Me, and I know and am certain that His evidence on My behalf is true and valid.

Друг има, Който свидетелствува за Мене; и зная, че свидетелството, което Той дава за Мене, е истинно.

33 Y ou yourselves have sent to John and he has been a witness to the truth.

Вие пратихте до Иоана; и той засвидетелствува за истината.

34 B ut I do not receive human witness; but I simply mention all these things in order that you may be saved (made and kept safe and sound).

(Обаче свидетелството, което Аз приемам, не е от човека; но казвам това за да се спасите вие).

35 J ohn was the lamp that kept on burning and shining, and you were willing for a while to delight (sun) yourselves in his light.

Той беше светилото, което гореше и светеше; и вие пожелахте да се радвате за малко време на неговото светене.

36 B ut I have as My witness something greater (weightier, higher, better) than that of John; for the works that the Father has appointed Me to accomplish and finish, the very same works that I am now doing, are a witness and proof that the Father has sent Me.

Но Аз имам свидетелство по-голямо от Иоановото; защото делата, които Отец Ми е дал да извърша, самите дела, които върша, свидетелствуват за Мене, че Отец Ме е пратил.

37 A nd the Father Who sent Me has Himself testified concerning Me. Not one of you has ever given ear to His voice or seen His form (His face—what He is like).

И Отец, Който Ме е пратил, Той свидетелствува за Мене. Нито гласа Му сте чули някога, нито образа Му сте видели.

38 A nd you have not His word (His thought) living in your hearts, because you do not believe and adhere to and trust in and rely on Him Whom He has sent.

И нямате Неговото слово постоянно в себе си, защото не вярвате Този, Когото Той е пратил.

39 Y ou search and investigate and pore over the Scriptures diligently, because you suppose and trust that you have eternal life through them. And these testify about Me!

Вие изследвате писанията, понеже мислите, че в тях имате вечен живот, и те са, които свидетелствуват за Мене,

40 A nd still you are not willing to come to Me, so that you might have life.

и <пак> не искате да дойдете при Мене, за да имате живот.

41 I receive not glory from men,

От човеци слава не приемам;

42 B ut I know you and recognize and understand that you have not the love of God in you.

но зная, че вие нямате в себе си любов към Бога.

43 I have come in My Father’s name and with His power, and you do not receive Me; but if another comes in his own name and his own power and with no other authority but himself, you will receive him and give him your approval.

Аз дойдох в името на Отца Си, и не Ме приемате; ако дойде друг в свое име, него ще приемете.

44 H ow is it possible for you to believe, you who receive praise and honor and glory from one another, and yet do not seek the praise and honor and glory which come from Him Who alone is God?

Как можете да повярвате вие, които приемате слава един от друг, а не търсите славата, която е от единия Бог.

45 P ut out of your minds the thought and do not suppose that I will accuse you before the Father. There is one who accuses you—it is Moses, the very one on whom you have built your hopes.

Не мислете, че аз ще ви обвиня пред Отца; има един, който ви обвинява - Моисей, на когото вие се облягате.

46 F or if you believed and relied on Moses, you would believe and rely on Me, for he wrote about Me.

Защото, ако вярвахте Моисея, повярвали бихте и Мене; понеже той за Мене писа.

47 B ut if you do not believe and trust his writings, how then will you believe and trust My teachings?

Но ако не вярвате неговите писания, как ще повярвате Моите думи?
