1 W hen Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, I am the Almighty God; walk and live habitually before Me and be perfect (blameless, wholehearted, complete).

Когато Аврам беше на деветдесет и девет години, Господ се яви на Аврама и му рече: Аз съм Всемогъщият; ходи пред Мене и бъди непорочен.

2 A nd I will make My covenant (solemn pledge) between Me and you and will multiply you exceedingly.

И ще направя завета си между Мене и тебе и ще те умножа твърде много.

3 T hen Abram fell on his face, and God said to him,

Тогава Аврам падна на лицето си; и Бог му говореше, казвайки:

4 A s for Me, behold, My covenant (solemn pledge) is with you, and you shall be the father of many nations.

Ето, Моят завет е с тебе; и ти ще станеш отец на множество народи.

5 N or shall your name any longer be Abram; but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of many nations.

Не ще се именуваш вече Аврам {Т.е., Висок отец.}, но името ти ще бъде Авраам {Т.е., Отец на множество.}; защото те направих отец на множество народи.

6 A nd I will make you exceedingly fruitful and I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you.

Ще те наплодя твърде много и ще произведа народи от тебе; и царе ще произлязат от тебе.

7 A nd I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting, solemn pledge, to be a God to you and to your posterity after you.

И ще утвърдя завета Си между Мене и тебе и потомците ти след тебе през всичките им поколения за вечен завет, че ще бъда Бог на тебе и на потомството ти след тебе.

8 A nd I will give to you and to your posterity after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

На тебе и на потомството ти след тебе ще дам за вечно притежание земята, в която си пришелец, цялата Ханаанска земя; и ще им бъда Бог.

9 A nd God said to Abraham, As for you, you shall therefore keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.

Бог още каза на Авраама: Пази ти завета Ми, ти и потомците ти след тебе, през всичките си поколения.

10 T his is My covenant, which you shall keep, between Me and you and your posterity after you: Every male among you shall be circumcised.

Ето Моят завет, който трябва да пазите между Мене и вас и потомците ти след тебе: всеки между вас от мъжки пол да се обрязва.

11 A nd you shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall be a token or sign of the covenant (the promise or pledge) between Me and you.

Да обрязвате краекожието на плътта си; и това ще бъде знак на завета между Мене и вас.

12 H e who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every male throughout your generations, whether born in house or bought with money from any foreigner not of your offspring.

Всяко мъжко <дете> между вас във всичките ви поколения, като стане на осем дни трябва да се обрязва, както роденото у дома ти, така и онова, което не е от твоето потомство, купено с пари от някой чужденец.

13 H e that is born in your house and he that is bought with your money must be circumcised; and My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

Непременно трябва да се обрязва и роденият у дома ти и купеният с парите ти; и Моят завет в плътта ви, ще бъде вечен завет.

14 A nd the male who is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant.

А необрязаният от мъжки пол, чието краекожие на плътта не е обрязано, тоя човек, да се погуби измежду людете си, <защото> е нарушил завета Ми.

15 A nd God said to Abraham, As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai; but Sarah her name shall be.

После Бог каза на Авраама: Не наричай вече Сарайя жена си Сарайя {Т.е., Моя княгиня.}; но Сара {Т.е., Княгиня.} да бъде името й.

16 A nd I will bless her and give you a son also by her. Yes, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall come from her.

Аз ще я благословя, още и син ще ти дам от нея; да! ще я благословя, и тя ще стане <майка> на народи; царе на племена ще произлязат от нея.

17 T hen Abraham fell on his face and laughed and said in his heart, Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a son?

Тогава Авраам падна на лицето си и се засмя, и рече в сърцето си: На стогодишен човек ли ще се роди дете? И Сара, която има деветдесет години, ще роди ли?

18 A nd said to God, Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!

И рече Авраам на Бога; Исмаил да е жив пред Тебе.

19 B ut God said, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son indeed, and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will establish My covenant or solemn pledge with him for an everlasting covenant and with his posterity after him.

Но Бог каза: Не, а жена ти Сара ще ти роди син, и ще го наречеш Исаак; и с него ще утвърдя завета Си за вечен завет, <който ще бъде и> за потомството му след него.

20 A nd as for Ishmael, I have heard and heeded you: behold, I will bless him and will make him fruitful and will multiply him exceedingly; He will be the father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.

И за Исмаила те послушах. Ето, благослових го, и ще го наплодя и преумножа; дванадесет племеначалници ще се родят от него, и ще го направя велик народ.

21 B ut My covenant, My promise and pledge, I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this season next year.

Но завета Си ще утвърдя с Исаака, когото Сара ще ти роди до година по това време.

22 A nd God stopped talking with him and went up from Abraham.

А като прекрати думата Си с Авраама, Бог си възлезе от него.

23 A nd Abraham took Ishmael his son and all who were born in his house and all who were bought with his money, every male among of Abraham’s house, and circumcised the very same day, as God had said to him.

В тоя същия ден Авраам взе сина си Исмаила, всичките родени у дома му и всичките купени с парите му, всеки от мъжки пол между човеците на Авраамовия дом и обряза краекожието на плътта им, според както Бог му каза.

24 A nd Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised.

Авраам беше на деветдесет и девет години когато се обряза краекожието на плътта му;

25 A nd Ishmael his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised.

а син му Исмаил беше на тринадесет години, когато се обряза краекожието на плътта му.

26 O n the very same day Abraham was circumcised, and Ishmael his son as well.

В един и същи ден се обрязаха Авраам и син му Исмаил.

27 A nd all the men of his house, both those born in the house and those bought with money from a foreigner, were circumcised along with him.

И всичките мъже от дома му <както> родените у дома, така и купените от чужденци с пари, се обрязаха заедно с него.
